Hi My son bought an Advent laptop from Currys around April 2013. In October last year it developed a graphic card fault and he took it back. The store told him that it was out of warranty and it was a chargeable repair. He thought fair enough and, not being able to afford it, left the store. I was telling a friend about it last month and he said to get it independently tested to see if it was an inherent fault. If so Currys would have to arrange a repair or replacement under the Sale of Goods Act. That's now been done and the report says it was an inherent fault.
I'm not sure if I should post this under Currys but I think it's more a Windows query: I bought an Advent PC with Windows 7 installed December 2012. For the last week a message "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine" has been displayed. I clicked a link which was titled "Windows Validation" and, after a week I finally received a "Thank you for evaluating Windows 7.. .. link to pay £109". Has anyone experienced this or is anyone able to shed any light? Cheers T

I also burnt my wrist on the lap top..seemed to catch the edge of my wrist when moving lap top on table at home. I've sent lap top with all updates to currys (knowhow) they collected it as a dangerous product? but could find no problem..and not overheating. They are not prepared to provide me with a new laptop, just a service and to re
