Hi, I am currently with the fos with a claim for mis-selling of account and o/d charges reclaim for financial hardship. The FOS seems to side with the bank and is asking for t&cs of the accounts I held at the time, Additions, Additions plus and Premier. The bank has lied about products provided on these accounts and I need access to welcome packs and terms of conditions for the said accounts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi All, I have received my complaints form this morning to claim back fees, I have had an account with Barclays for 26 years and can re-call the Addition account being added mid 90s when i had an o/d, then they changed it to Additions active in 2010. On the form it asks if the account has ever been joint it was for a couple of years by my ex-husband, the account was originally mine, he was taken off of the account at least 10 years ago now do i have to fill his name in on the form?????! Any advice gratefully received:-)

I've just sent a complaint to Lowlifes regarding not updating the balances on my credit file for accounts they hold, my basis being that this could be detrimental to my ability to obtain employment and/or credit etc and that under the ICO's “Principles for the Reporting of Arrears, Arrangements and Defaults at Credit Reference Agencies” they clearly fall short of ensuring that the information is "fair, accurate, consistent, complete and up to date. “ . No I don't honestly expect to get far with the actual complaint but it will hopefully use some of their resource to address the issue, if the response is as poor as anticipated this will cost them about £550.00 if I escalate to the FOS/ICO (not sure which would be the correct one) and, perhaps most important of all, IF they get avalanches of complaints it might just give them a desire to rethink their practices! So how much do people on here register complaints, in addition to launching legal action etc? - and is it worth the effort of am I peeing in the wind and they just don't pay any attention to it?

Hi, Chanced on a stack of bank statements yesterday and noticed that my account had been upgraded for 3 years to a First additions account, with a monthly fee. Now, I seem to remember that I had to upgrade to the First Additions when I asked about increasing my overdraft. They said I could only do it if I upgraded. Classic mis-selling then. So had a good wade through all the statements, completed a spreadsheet and now sent of with a letter claiming fees plus interest back. Be interesting to see if I have another battle with Barclays. Better dig out all the SAR stuff from my previous encounter. Jedicris
