  2. Hi all, I signed up with BT Broadband, phone and tele however I've since been offered a deal with Virgin that I think is better. My Bt was due to start on Monday however I didn't get the packages that day as I wasn't in. They are still at the post office. However i phoned them today to cancel and they say as I'm out of the 14 day peace of mind period (which is shorter than the time it took for equipment to arrive) I can only cancel if i give them just short of seven hundred quid. To confirm, I have never activated any service and even if i had then it would only be three days I'd been using it that i could make a decision on. Is there anything i can do or am i stuck with it until next year now?
  3. Hi. Back in June 2014 I purchased a table & Chairs set of ebay from Furniture Choice uk for £600. On Saturday when I was extending the dining table for the second time in two years, the tension wire snapped. This is causing the table to pretty much slide back and forth freely. I contacted Furniture Choice uk for some advice and they pretty much said to me they can't do anything for me as it's past the 12 month warranty period. Surely this can't be right. Is there anything I can go back to them with because I would of thought a £600 table should last longer then 23 months.. Any advice much appreciated. Link to the table I bought is below. h****P://w$£.furniturechoice.co.uk/Dining-Room-Furniture/Dining-Tables/Extending-Dining-Tables/Tokyo-White-High-Gloss-Extending-Dining-Table_250107.htm
  4. Presumably, as at our local hospital - the bays are marked private so even if the Directors aren't on the premises, they cannot be used by anyone else ! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/nhs-bigwigs-free-parking-nurses-6875844
  5. Hi all, My phone was stolen roughly 3 weeks ago and £600 of unauthorised call charges were made before I realised it was stolen. My phone was stolen / lost on Saturday 26th May and I only realised on Monday 28th upon which I called O2 to inform them of this. When accessing my account online I noticed the £600 of unauthorised charges and filed a claim with customer services. They told me they would get back to me within five days. My bill came through on 16th June and it listed the unauthorised charges (plus VAT) - my bill stands at about £737 inc VAT. I am on a simplicity plan at around £20 per month. The money is due to come out of my account by direct debit on 30th June. I absolutely cannot afford this. I finally received a response to my claim today which stated the following: I have been a customer with O2 since the first iPhone came out (about 5 years) and a broadband customer for over four years, so I am obviously devastated that they would not offer any goodwill gestures in relation to this theft. I have never been late with any payments and the most my bill has come to is about £60. I have only ever called international numbers whilst abroad, so I am surprised that O2s fraud detection systems did not notice this irregular activity. I would appreciate any assistance in dealing with this matter. I am in the process of writing a complaint letter to O2 regarding this and to request a review of their decision not to offer any goodwill credits. Thanks all in advance
