  1. Ok first of hi to CAG again, been looking and passing site on to theres with problems for advice, anyway new problem ,well advice really..... Back in 2012 had a argos card, everything fine until one month forgot to make a payment, hounded by relentless calls but continued paying until noticed that the £12 charged levied for the miss payment [which i do not dispute my fault] a new one was being added for the next 2 months, along with 4 calls a day, i called them told them to stop the calls as was still paying above the min amount, to be told until i made a dual payment then they could continue to charge, when next bill arrived i refused to pay, 5 yrs later being sent to every DCA even Lowell Portfolio, Lowell Solicitors now decided Court action, amazing during those yrs ask to be taken to Court Numerous times to settle this. last yr out of the blue letter from Argos saying £36 put on account was wrong and debt re adjusted, just before Christmas suprise ? Lowell take Court action filled all the forms sent to the Court explaining etc etc, in end opted for mediation, i owed originally £168, in hindsight should have just paid that and told em to run for the charges, when they finally passed the debt it stood at £232, now stands at £475! which i dispute. and will happily pay the £168 i owed Argos fault not mine. thats the story now while i await the Mediation date Lowells keep calling, A should i speak to them or should be or B no till mediation date, Lowell already been warned and got 7 day extension by Judge for not filling and sending forms in with threat of defualting judgement against them
  2. Hi everyone! I'm new here! I'm on JSA but got a job today and I start on Tuesday next week. But I haven't got a clue what I have to do next? Can I phone them on the day I work and tell them or? I'm worried but proud of myself at the same time for FINALLY getting of jobseekers!
  3. Hi all, I have recently had a great time in the lake district, now about a fortnight later I have had a parking charge from parking eye for a car park in Hawkshead. Through the holiday we used many car parks including the one in Hawkshead twice. So of course we had a ticket for every car park visited. surly they should provide a photograph of my car with no ticket. Of course I didn't keep the ticket, I have been driving for forty odd years and have never ever kept tickets. Comments/advise please.
  4. Hi Guys its all over, my payments have come to and end i'm now free! I have had nothing but hell from this company for 3 years. To come to the end is a wonderful feeling. No more phone calls because i'm late paying. No more late fees and being asked to pay the late charge plus 2 weeks.! I look at the tv and stand, and they really are mine, all mine! I was one of the lucky ones, it never broke down during the 3 years. That was a relief because i moved house without telling them 5 months after i took out the agreement. I had no intention of not paying anymore, i simply carried on phoning every week from my new address. Did you know they have no way of knowing you have moved unless they pay you a visit......Then they get a shock When you call the store they ask for your card details and your address. The address of my card changed (but sort code account number the same) but when asked for number of my house and postcode, i gave my old one......Weird but true. No flag on the pc to say what address the card is linked to. You can be anywhere in the country, so long as you still pay, you wont get harrassed i suppose. It goes to show that not everyone that moves house is avoiding paying BH. I could have done a runner, but i hung in there. I wanted to look at my goods and pat myself on the back when payment was made in full. Until the very end. Even then they wanted more money than i expected but i paid it get rid of them. I have accepted that i was one of many paying higher interest rates to cover the people that do stop paying for whatever reason. I will never, ever go back to these people. I cant bear looking at their tv ads, they make it look so simple. Its not. Dont you dare have a family problem come up. Dont dare have a sick child or loose your job. Dont dare to forget whilst cooking the dinner or whatever..... There is NO mercy where they are concerned. They have targets set in their store, they will do whatever it takes to make sure they are met. Good riddance Brighthouse! The only positive thing i have to say is i met ONE member of staff who was genuine
