It has been suggested that police women in the west midlands police force may be allowed to wear the Burka. Am I the only one that thinks that the person who thought of this has something seriously wrong with them..

Hi there, I am not new, I have another account but I have forgot my login details also in the past I have post content which was not acceptable and I have learnt from that mistake and I am very sorry and it won't happen ever again and I created a new account as I need some very urgent advice. On 5th of February, I made a complaint against my advisor at Job Centre because she keeps threating me with a sanction on my Universal Credit claim all because of my gay slogan t-shirt which has the slogan (NOBODY KNOWS I'M GAY), she said that if I keep wearing my gay t-shirts then my payments will stop and it will go to a decision maker for a possible sanction. Then on Wednesday what's just gone, I received an outcome of my complaint it states my complaint has not been upheld, I have appealed against the complaint as it's not good enough, the advisors are not my employer. Can Job Centre do this? sanction me for a t-shirt? I always see untidy people in Job Centre with football t-shirts, love hearts, batman etc but they can wear all sorts of t-shirt but I can't wear my gay slogan t-shirt. I have been to Citizen Advice and the man who I saw said it's pathetic that they threating me with a sanction because of my t-shirt and he also said I could go to papers and put an article in the paper, I also spoken to my MP yesterday (20 February) and he wasn't much help but he did state this in his own words: ''In my opinion, no Job Centre can't sanction you because of your t-shirt, however you can try to challenge them and if you do get sanctioned then you can get a solicitor involved''. I always see people in trackies and you certainly don't go to interviews wearing jeans and trackies, I feel they just picking on me because it has the word gay on my t-shirt. On my advisor case load, she always has people in trackies but she doesn't say anything to them, I just want your input or your opinions if Job Centre are allowed to do this to me? I have appointment next Thursday (26 February) and I will be wearing my gay t-shirt, if my advisor starts then I will have no choice but to go to Burnley Express (Paper). By the way, just want to make one thing clear, I never wear these gay t-shirts at a interviews but I don't see what's the problem is wearing it at Job Centre appointments. I am not trying to cause any trouble on here, I just need to hear your opinions. Thanks. Note: I had a Job at Boohoo for 3 months but sadly got my contract terminated because of my picking performance as I wasn't going fast enough, I was going fast I could, I only made the Universal Credit claim last month and got my first payment on the 19 February.

I have had a similar experience at edinburgh high riggs, but this is more complex. On the 8th dec 2014 i was asked by a security guard to take down the hood from my hooded top. I did but pointed out it was winter and a number of people were wearing hooded jackets and hats who were already in the building. The security guard insisted it was hoodies in particular. On the 16th of feb 2015 I go sign on again, this time a different security gaurd tells me I can not wear a hooded jacket; i tell him of my last experience, but this makes no difference. On entering the building i noticed an older man wearing a baseball cap so file a complaint. It is apparent that it is not the item of clothing you are wearing, but the demography of the population that the security gaurd decides yo fit into. I am a guy in his 30s, i tend to wear hoods in scotland not because I want to be affiliated with the hoody culture, but cause its cold here. I found the treatment humiliating and giving people preferential treatment like this is surely illegal

Dear All, Just to put it on records, I was not wearing a seatbelt, and was driving, until I reached a junction where I spotted a Police officer on motorbike, as I turned the corner I decided to wear the seatbelt, and a few minutes later the police officer caught-up with me, gave me a ticket to pay the £100 penalty. Naturally, as a human nature I did not want to pay the fine, and requested a court hearing, and the courts dismissed the prosecution case, as although I was spotted not wearing a seatbelt, but when the officer actually stopped me I was wearing the seat belt, so no offence was committed. Overzealous, and meaningless prosecution, and waste of tax payers money.

Good Morning This is my first post so please bear with me. Basicaly we purchased a three seater and a two seater sofa and foot stool from Sofaitalia an online company that was in process of opening a store in Stockton on tees we orderd from the store and took delivery end March 2010. the 2 seater sofa cost £950 . We also purchased a staingard cover for £240. The suite wasnt used between April 2011 and Dec 11 due to house move . We noticed about three weeks ago that one of the back cushions at the head neck height the colour has faded right to base leather ( sold as full grain semi aniline) we contacted staingard who inspected and informed no action as its wear and tear and colour fade is not covered . I contacted Sofaitalia who agree with Staingard. However I do not believe under the SOGA that a sofa of this quality and price should only last less than three years with light domestic use there are only three of us in the family . We are far from happy I'm sending Sofaitalia a letter quoting SOGA and my precieved rights as a consumer . Can anyone help point me in the right direction of what we can expect or even if i may be expecting too much in that I would idealy like the sofa replacing at the very least a good repair. Any help or advice greatly appreciated
