  1. Theresa May has just finished delivering a speech setting out her vision for addressing mental health issues. Any cause for rejoicing or should we be concerned? Discuss. Health Secretary. Hunt. Delivering a speech later today on the same subject.
  2. I am using a Panasonic tv with a Panasonic sound system connected via HDMI. My box is continually losing sync between sound and vision. I have to reset it no less that 3 or 4 times every day and it's becoming a real pain in the ass and spoiling programme viewing. This box is not fit for purpose. I put the problem into the BT forum but as expected, no one from BT responded. Today I'm going to email the boss and tell her she has 1 week to fix the problem or I end my contract which has only been going just over a month.

  4. Hi In 2005 I got the following: Together Mortgage £113000, Picture Loan £33000, Welcome Loan £21000, RBS Debt totaling £25000 credit card debt totaling £ 9,000. PAYDAY LOANS total £1200. I was in great despair as I was going through a divorce had an ectopic pregnancy and lived in a house half built. I was off work due to ectopic pregnancy and was losing money fast. On top of this my step daughter came to live with me and I was trying to help her through college etc. My ex husband was very nasty and he was due to leave the army and I got frightened in to not taking any of his pension that I deserved for giving up my career to bring his daughter up. He cashed in all our joint policies and left me with nothing but debt. I was in despair literally and had a breakdown turned to alcohol (not badly but enough). I then tried reading self help books to try and change my mind set. I wrote myself blank cheques to all the people I owed and had them on my wall so that I could visualize on attracting money. I won £3800 from a 10p bingo ticket then I got a windfall of £32000. I cleared the credit card debt, got the house finished and reduced the welcome loan to £9000. I still owe the rest, I got the RBS loan secured against the house to free up monthly spends. My house is now worth £136000. I was annoyed though as I have paid over £37000 to IDEM not realising that to settle I need to pay another £42000!! I was younger stupid and scared. I have now rented out my house and I am living in a room, I have started my own company using all the skills I have and have enlisted friends to help me with their trades (I take a small percentage from them as I get them work). [EDITED] It is about visualizing and felling the luck and wealth. It takes only 16 seconds to vibrate mentally and put good thoughts out. I do not ask to win the lottery e.t.c but I try to create ways that I can help myself out of the mess I got in with money. [EDITED]
  5. After Sky messing me around big style last year they gave me their entertainment package for £16 a month after i was cancelling my contract. Twelve months down the line they have now removed that rebate and will not budge to keep me in contract. I have now just given 31 days notice to cancel. That in its self was like pulling teeth I have just phoned BT about the BT Vision service. I have already the infinity 2 Broadband service with no complaints so speed will not be an issue. They said £5 a month for the first six months then £7 a month there after. Sign me up. Then came the sting, £35 activation and delivery charge. Activation for what, i already have infinity So my question has to be who is the best provider for subscription TV?? Either monthly subscription or one off payment
  6. Anyone else having problems with BT vision? Since they changed it all a week or two ago my box keeps freezing. Especially when I use BBC iPlayer. I'm seriously considering changing my broadband and phone anyway as my broadband connection is unreliable at best but their staff have a habit of blaming me for any problem I report to them even when all my neighbours are affected so I wanted to see whether this one was just me.
  7. Just after some quick advice if poss. I purchased a fridge freezer from family vision 13 months ago. The fridge developed a fault where it stopped chilling. And after a little research we discovered that this a common fault with this model and it nearly always happens when it is 13 months old. As it is out of 12 months family vision advised that it would be hotpoint calling to us and not one of their own guys. They made the call for me with hotpoint to raise the fault and advised me that someone from hotpoint would be in touch. Which they did the next day. After being told that I would have to wait a week for an engineer to visit. I raised the issue about this common fault. And was told that. They are aware of it but it was only in the earlier model and has been sorted. I advised them that they were Wrong and the exact same issue had happened on my fridge Engineer turned up and confirmed my suspicion also advising me that it was the third fridge of this model he had found this week with the same fault. So he had to order a new door which would take a week to arrive leaving me with no fridge for 2 weeks Family vision would not give me a loaner as they state that they ave done everything in the contract to fix the issue as quickly as poss. But they also claim that I have to pay for the 2 weeks that I could not use the fridge. Surely ths ain't right is it???
  8. Can anyone give me advice on this? I took out a package with BT which included phone line, broadband and vision. I used it for 12 months out of the 18 month contract. I then moved property starting a new 18 month contract. 6 months in and I am moving again. I wanted to cancel the service so they made up a final bill for me. I knew i would face termination fees but didn't expect to pay £199 for the vision box. Having looked at the terms and conditions it says: 'The Vision box will be provided free of charge as long as you remain within contract. However, If you stop your service in the first year we'll charge you £199. This charge is to cover the cost of the box and will appear on your next bill . This charge is in addition to any Early Termination charges you may be liable to pay.' There reason for charging £199 is to cover the cost of the box. Since I have had the box for over 12 months surely that means that I have covered the cost of the box depite moving property? Is there anything I can do?
