  2. Hello! I've got into a slight dispute with Urban Outfitters, as I've asked for my delivery cost to be refunded as I returned the whole order and was therefore entitled to it I ordered a t-shirt on 19/11/18 it cost £3.99 for delivery I returned in a branch on the high st on 04/12/18 and was automatically sent a refund email for the t-shirt So I wrote to customer services asking for my delivery back as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations They refused to refund it and when I re-sent my email back they've now responded/ asked: Hi Shelly, Thanks for your reply. Can you please advise if you submitted a cancellation form to cancel your contract with us with in 14 days of delivery? Thanks, Karlie UO Customer Services And the answer to that is 'no' This is the 1st time I've been challenged when asking for delivery costs back, usually ASOS just does it without question. And Silver by Mail apologised and refunded when I asked only earlier this month So my query is - (as I cannot find the answer elsewhere). Is this grounds for refusal to refund as I didn't submit my intention to return? Have they got me here? Thanks

Message was: Reward of £30 in vouchers for Black Friday - all you need to do is provide your signature and name of organisation I volunteered with - to be eligible for the vouchers. the number is 0786-***-1261 maybe belongs to someone else trying to get credit for my work placement?? Anyone else had this at all?
  4. Hi, We moved out of our flat which was run by Urban Development Projects Ltd. at the end of August and have been waiting to get our deposit of £650 since. I have been chasing our first point of contact who said that they have been busy with a music festival (I know) and that it would be done 'soon'. We finally got a quote from a company by the name of Urban Moor Construction Ltd. with a quote for £648 to: Re paint areas to rectify scuff marks and damaged plaster work £365 This was literally a hole in the plasterboard which we had replacedbut not skimmed over. I more than expected deductions for this but not this amount. There was also a few marks in the bedroom which needed painting over which were behind the wardrobe so we didn't see them until it was too late Fill, sand and polish kitchen work surface where hole has been drilled £85 We had a space for the washing machine under the kitchen side but the plug socket was way too far under the sink, so one of the handymen on site drilled a hole through the countertop so that we could plug it in where the microwave goes Deep clean flat ready for letting £90 There was a bit of soap in the soap pan and a small amount of buildup on the shower head which we didn't see. I had a look at the company who quoted this (Urban Moor Construction Ltd.); their logo was very similar to Urban Development's so I searched them both in Companies House... Lo and behold, they're both registered to 51 Selby Road in Leeds! Has anyone ever heard of a company doing this before? I can assure you that there definitely isn't £650 worth of repairs there so I feel as though they're trying to make a quick buck off of us. Oh... Just had a very patronising phone call off of Marc, the MD. He said that if we take it to TDS, they will look at the pictures and throw it out and then he called me a d*ckhead. How lovely. Luckily the call was recorded.
  5. Hi Everyone, I got issued a PCN in March around 19:40 hours in Waterloo i was parked somewhere i have parked for years and have never previously received a parking ticket. On this occasion i came back to my car to find a PCN on my car basically Lambeth Council worked out lets try to make some money. Anyway the location on the ticket is wrong as i was parked somewhere that had no road sign's, street name or restrictions like a side loading road or something not sure really what to call it. It is very wide with a drop curb for vehicles to go up and park and as i stated i have been parking there for years. Anyway Lambeth have still until this day rejected my claims of appeal and now want to send me a notice to driver even after i explained to them that i was parked in the Lambeth borough that night but not at the location on the ticket! I then sent a letter back stating to show me proof of me being parked on Waterloo road and that will be the end of it. I then sent in the appeal of "the contravention did not occur" on the basis of the location being wrong but they are still rejecting it and said i should now wait the notice to driver. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? If so what happened? Thanks Rockyuk
