In simple terms when my housemate moved out the water bill wasnt paid for maybe 6 months then when it was not enough to clear the arrears. Not through avoidance more confusion and as soon as I realised I upped the weekly amount to cover the arrears asap. To my horror then a month ago I get an equifax alert showing red 4s and delinquent date for that last few months. I figured no point dwelling on it and knew it was about a week from being caught up but was still annoyed as ive spent a few years tidying my history up a bit. To be clear they were not even on my credit record before this. yesterday another alert to say it had been removed. Does this make sense?, I was under the impression it would now be on there for 6 years. I guess i'm just wondering if this is a mistake and its likely to reappear or if this is how utility companies do it ie only add while in arrears?. I'm sure there are others that have been in a similar situation so would be useful to know.

Hi Guys, I want to apply for a 0% credit card to do a balance transfer but a couple of days ago I viewed a property that I want to buy with a buy to let mortgage. I already own several BTL properties but my concern is about applying for both within the same timeframe. I was wondering how long it takes for credit applications to appear on our credit file? I know Chris very well and have done for many years. Sadly it seems I'm another one of his victims. I paid Chris £600 upfront in January this year to repaint my mk 4 golf anniversary. He stated that as the body shop side of his business was quiet over winter he could do mine between other jobs and it would be done in 3-4 weeks from then. It's been there that long there's 3mm of tree sap caked on the car. Chris avoids replying to my texts. I've been told by a very good friend of Chris's that he has over 40 cars waiting for extensive restoration work the majority of customers having paid upfront all to lavish Chris's lifestyle. His friend admitted he doubted any of the cars would ever get done and that it was only a matter of time before he 'Did a flit' back to his belovied Cornwall. His working week consists of 3 days now. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday evening he travels down to Cornwall returning Tuesday. He's well aware of the comments on this forum and reckons most is liable and that he's tried several times to get it taken down but to no avail. Posts claiming people have served court papers on him are also false according to him with most of the negative comments coming from a disgruntled ex member of staff that was sacked - the guy lives in fairy land. I don't know how the guy has the brass neck to continue taking money off people.

Those looking for the ultimate protection configure Windows Update to automatically install them, while others may, accidentally or not, disable the feature or postpone installing any updates for a very, very long time. I have seen systems that last had updates installed years before I was asked to troubleshoot them. With Windows 10, however, Microsoft is taking matters into its own hands, by making automatic updates mandatory. This applies to both home and business users, unless the latter group turns to dedicated tools that allow them to have more control over how updates are installed. Basically, you have to go out of your way to keep Windows 10 out of date. The most up to date Windows 10 licensing agreement, from build 10240, says the following: Updates. The software periodically checks for system and app updates, and downloads and installs them for you. You may obtain updates only from Microsoft or authorized sources, and Microsoft may need to update your system to provide you with those updates. By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice.
