  1. Anyone else having difficulty with the posts not showing the correct time now that the clocks have gone back? I have gone into the User Control Panel and selected Auto Detect DST but it hasn't worked. I'm posting this message at 9pm but it displays it as being made at 10pm. Edit: Fixed it by selecting Turn Off Auto Detect - oops! Mods feel free to delete this thread.
  2. ]Hi....I have become very aware of this ruling because it is mentioned by lawyers/agents attempting to get a judgement and citing times they believe are unreasonable,to get loans etc repayed.....Does anybody have a clear cut answer for what is the legal definition of REASONABLE TIME.???.. Is this actually fixed or discretionary or have there been guidelines as to what reasonable is? [N]o Judge could properly exercise the power conferred by section 71 of the County Courts Act 1984 to make an order for payment of a money judgement by instalments which it was known would not satisfy the judgement within the lifetime of the debtor or indeed within a reasonable time.” Many Thanks
  3. Hello, MotorMile now "own" a debt from WagedayAdvance have been contacting my work every single day 5-10 times a day leaving messages, threatening bailiffs to visit. Doesn't scare/bother me in the slightest but Ive just contacted them and got into a huge argument with one of the staff members asking them to stop calling my work and harassing me while trying to force me to pay a non priority debt. I booked 2 weeks holiday off from work to enjoy with my family and received them while i was away. Now hes basically saying if i can afford a "holiday" i can afford to pay my debts and a doorstep bailiff will be visiting anytime soon. Leading to more arguments, saying i don't allow a bailiff round etc etc and then just told me to grow up and stop being a loser and pay my debts. Then hung up the phone. Is there any reason i should pay the debt if i'm getting continuous harassment and told to grow up? then hung up on. What would you suggest i do? ill be honest Ive ignored the debt as its not priority and i have more worrying matters on my hand but just getting back to work today and being took aside by my manager about all these voice mails being left on the company phone has left me feeling crappy and embarrassed to be honest.
  4. Unfortunately we can't take holidays during the school ones and that's the way it has been for a while. Not through affordability but because my OH has to work those times on contract through all of them without a choice. The best we can do is the second week in September to meet with my sister and her family that also have to take time from work and have to travel from Canada. I'm worried that we will be denied that time by my daughters school even though it's the first absence she will have had in 2 years. She's almost 11 and I know education is important and it's short notice to give them but this time will be important as a family also. Schools seem to think one size fits all and you are a bad parent for not taking holidays in the time they say. Not all parents can do that. Just as not all parents can afford the 'trips' away that schools organize but the rest left behind aren't getting the same education either and are left in the classroom as 2nd best. It suits them then that certain children can be absent and to have a 2 tier education. It's booked and I guess I have to face it when it comes to it. OH has booked the time off and got moaned at even though it's it's first in over a year and well in advance. He may not have a job to return to but that's life and sometimes family counts for much more.
  5. I always attend my gym on an afternoon due to my shift pattern I can't go any other time. Last week I went and they told me sorry but we now close for a hour for lunch! There is no other possible time that I can go and I'm tied into another 3 months of my 12 month contract so I will be paying but not attending! Is there anyway I can cancel it? They have told me no
