  1. Hi All, Thanks for looking at this, I'm after a little advice after the DVLA revoked my licence following me surrendering it. The story: I had a seizure in December 2014, the first and only seizure I've had in my 40 years. I dutifully surrendered my licence under doctors orders and was told to just apply in six months and that would be that. I applied for it back and got a 'no, we're revoking it instead, wait longer' type letter, so the rules say six to twelve months so no problem maybe they're just being safe. I applied again after the 12 months, only to be told that it would be subject to intense medical scrutiny because I had an alcohol problem! That was news to me, sure there will be times where I exceed the guidelines set out by government but they are extremely low in reality and they aren't seeking me out to write a documentary. I did happen to have the seizure following a night out so the discharge letter does say alcohol may have been a factor. So my concern is now I'm going to be branded as a raging alcoholic and that is likely to lead to many other problems down the line. I would like to try and get the DVLA to reverse their assessment of me, has anyone got any advice on how I might do this and if it is even possible? Thanks Dave
  2. I handed a car back to PCF after about a year of ownership due to job loss. I asked them if i could sell the car to pay off the remaining balance but they refused. they then sold the car for a poultry amount leaving a large amount remaing on the account. I have been paying the debt back £10 per month which is not really touching the balance on the 2 loans. one is at about 5500 the other at 1200. is the fact they gave me 2 loans to finance the car an issue I can tackle them about? It seems from other threads they may have only done this to get around affordability issues?
  3. Hi, need some advice regards a possible car repossession. I have a car through BCT and have missed several payments due to unemployment and personal issues. I have constantly been in touch with BCT explaining the situation and they have been understanding regards my situation. Until three weeks ago, when out of the blue a guy from Ram Recovery knocks my doors chasing the arrears on the car. The car cannot be repo’d without a court order as I have paid over 50% of the loan. Arrears are £1500 at present. I told them I was not in a position to pay at present and needed time to sort things out. They are now chasing me for 50% of the arrears and if not paid within next few days will get a court order to take the car. I have had nothing supplied to me in writing from Ram or BCT regards this situation and wonder where I stand with this. Contact with Ram is via a mobile number and I have been given bank details to transfer the money. Not sure if this is wise as I have no idea who these people are as I have nothing in writing. BCT has now been moved to an office in Wales (Target Loans) who are dealing with all accounts as BCT are not lending no more. Can anybody advise me as what to do regards this issue please. Also, if they go for a court order, how long does this take to go through and could I make my case to the judge? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
