  1. I had a car accident in December 2016 and a solicitor e-mailed me and started work in January 2017 but hasn't done much. I didn't realise but another solicitor seems to have started work on this case in May 2017 and have done a lot more than the first. I hadn't even realised that this second solicitor was different and have just answered them (all done on e-mail) and gone to the physiotherapy and psychotherapist organised by them. The first one has now been back in touch and its just clicked that there are 2 doing the same case. Please can anyone give me advice on what to do. Thanks so much.
  2. Hi, My business partner and I are going to be registering our company very soon. I know that somewhere into the process, we're going to need to open a business bank account and designate that as our main account for the business. About 3 years ago, I opened a business account and had a business loan that was connected with that account when I opened it (by Lloyds TSB). This company was as a sole trader and wasn't a registered company. I had some payment issues and the business account was eventually closed, as I'd missed some loan repayments/late payments, etc. Ultimately, the loan was sold on by Lloyds and I've been paying it back ever since. I didn't go bankrupt or anything like that, and the loan wasn't a large sum of money. But I lost the business bank account in the process. I've been paying off the loan ever since through a debt consolidation company and all is fine in that regard. I was wondering if I'm likely to experience issues when opening a business bank account now? I'd use a different bank and I wouldn't be looking to get a loan or anything like that. It would purely be myself and my business partner using it as our official business bank account. Any help on this would be much appreciated,
  3. Been dealing with a few folk who have had door step visits from MoorCrap recently. all the debts are pretty hefty amounts, ie over £3000.
  4. Hi I am a Newbie to this I have had a long ongoing battle with HFO Services/Hfo Capital for over 13 years over a car I had on finance with Welcome Finance which was taken back by Welcome. I have today received a letter from HFO Capital demanding payment or they will carry our enforcement action etc etc. having not heard from them for over 12 months prior to this letter. This debt went to court over 7 years ago before I had found out about CCAs etc as if I had sent them a CCA request this would have not got to court in the first place and I was paying the judgment off by a monthly payment. the judgment is just about paid off now but the letter I received today shows a balance outstanding of almost twice the original judgment amount. I thought HFO Capital / Turnbull Rutherford have lost their licence to trade according to news items and threads on here. Can somebody help shed some light on this. as this is stopping me getting on with my life having to have my home and other assets in others names to try to stop them getting charging orders etc as they tried a few years ago and got an intrim C/O on my previous home as the house was in both mine and ny partners names my partner appealed to the court and the charging order was removed by the court I really don't wanto go through this again all I want is closure on this. Pleease Help!!
  5. I defaulted on a wonga loan over a year a go (427 days according to my account) but I haven't heard anything from them or a debt collector. I defaulted on other debts around the same time due to not having a job and I've been repaying them through the debt collectors they were assigned to. Should I make an attempt to repay it or just ignore it until my situation is better? If I'm being honest I don't feel that bad about not paying it back
  6. can't post links so search the forum for Debt-Threats-a-quick-self-help-guide all of the links for the letters involved tell me I don't have permission to view them. Anyone shed any light on this? Being mercilessly hounded for a debt I don't think I owe.
  7. A browse on Companies House shows CIVEA to have been struck off on 18th September 2012 for failing to provide accounts? does this mean the bailiff bonds they used to underwrite and the input to the MoJ is now carried out by a sole trader? Anyone got thoughts on this? WD
  8. Dealing with a CapOne account for a friend: Debt was passed to Fred's mid 2012... Offered them £1.00 per month for 4 months. Pointed out illness and they returned the account back to Cap One. CapOne asked for proof of illness, so sent in various copies of letters from surgeons, plus a three page prescription list. Various letters back and forth asking for sick notes etc. Told them sick notes dont exist when on ESA. Debt passed back to Fred's under a new ref number lol. Thought Freddy's would have spotted the same name, address, Cap One account number? Anyway, just waiting to see what the Freddy Fools come back with now - I've refered them to previous corrospondace from mid 2012 lol...
