  2. Hi all I had two ccj debts with Aktiv Kapital which have now both passed the 6 year point. Both had interim charging orders on my house. I paid off one of about £3k and had the charging order removed. They very kindly also sent me a receipt to show that the other debt was clear (which it wasn't) I forwarded that to the court and had the other charging order removed. I moved house a year ago and I am still paying £20 a month to Aktiv Kapital. Any thoughts about what they could do if I stop these monthly payments? The CCJ wasn't really settled although they gave me a receipt and I moved house. I am tempted to let sleeping dogs lie but equally I wouldn't mind asking for a refund on the £20 that I have paid for the last 12 months. I haven't heard anything from them and they don't have my new address yet. How clued up are they?
  3. Royal Bank of Scotland has been ranked bottom out of more than 30 rivals for customer satisfaction, despite pledges by the bailed out bank to improve its battered reputation. The survey, carried out by consumer group Which? between September 2015 and January 2016, asked more than 20,000 people how satisfied they were with their current account, savings account, credit card and mortgage provider. As well as placing RBS last, the results put NatWest (which is owned by RBS) in the bottom 10 alongside Barclays, Bank of Scotland (part of Lloyds Banking Group) and Clydesdale, which was recently listed on the stock market. Lloyds is tenth from the bottom. Which? said the gap between RBS at the bottom and First Direct, owned by HSBC, at the top was 21 percentage points, illustrating the battle faced by the 73%-taxpayer owned bank. The consumer group published the survey as part of its campaign to encourage the Competition and Markets Authority to rethink its ongoing investigation into the banking sector. Which? is concerned the competition watchdog is too focused on encouraging customers to move between providers rather than on dealing with the way banks treat their customers and charge for overdrafts. 5. Hello All. I have a CCJ which was registered in November 2009 and satisfied in June 2012. I have been waiting since 4th January 2014 for a letter of satisfaction from Bryan Carter Solicitors. I phoned them today and they say they are still waiting for Co-op to validate the evidence I sent in. Apparently, they will contact Co-op but cannot tell me how much longer it might take. Does anybody have any advice about what I should do next? Many Thanks, Tenant_B
  6. Hi All Sorry didn't know where to post this.... Does anybody know how much it costs to get a certificate of satisfaction from Northampton County Court for a CCJ that has been paid (passed the 30 days/2 years old) so I can send the certificate to Experian, Equifax and call credit so they can show on there system the CCJ is satisfied and no longer active?
  7. I was made bankrupt in 2008 & am cleaning up my credit file - there are a number of CCJs which do not show as satisfied despite the subject of the CCJ being satisfied on my credit agreements file - can I get the court to mark them as satisfied by my bankruptcy?
  8. A letting agent says I must have a certificate of satisfaction even though the CCJ is marked as satisfied on my file. I wrote to the court with a cheque two weeks ago but I have heard nothing and they haven't even cashed the cheque. I tried phoning, but all I got were recorded message options telling to write in with a cheque! Is two weeks a long time to wait or is it normal? I really want to get on.
  9. and do I need one? The CCJ is showing as satisfied CCJ on my credit file, so do I need a certificate of satisfaction as well? It is for a tenancy for a rented house and they are saying I need one even though it is showing as satisfied. Can I apply for a certificate online, or do I have to write in? Thanks for replies.
  10. So 1. Being threatened with bankruptcy for a £1400 debt 2. Borrowing money to pay a lump sum off 3. Entering a payment plan in November 4. In Jan the court decides to give Lowell more time to serve me after hearing the case early cos they didn't realise I knew the case was on that day 5. Having to go back to court and Lowell requesting through a letter another adjournment 6. To finally having the case dismissed this month LOWELL HAVE NOW SENT ME A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION FORM TO MAKE SURE I AM HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE!!!! Er no ... you are blatantly abusing the court system! Unbelievable!!
  11. Hi im having a problem at the moment i had some debt with vodafone a couple of years ago and finished paying it off to Arvato debt collection on Aug 21st last year at a reduced lump sum. At the time I was unaware that this wouldnt clear my full debt with vodafone as I never recieved any contact at all from neither voda or arvato after making the final reduced lump sum payment, Ive recently applied for a mortgage unaware of this outstanding balance vodafone still claim to be owed of £30.55 I have been in touch with vodafone collections dept today and explained the situation to which i was told vodafone would definately not clear the debt (even though i paid it off when it was passed to arvato) Feeling backed into a corner i have paid the £30.55 over the phone (authorisation code 012205) but now need a satisfaction certificate as it takes too long for the credit file to update and as i said im trying for a mortgage. I have been instructed to fax the quality assurance team (which i have done) explaining the situation and explaining i need the satisfaction certificate asap (like today) i was assured on the phone this wouldnt be a problem but havent had any reply from QA please could someone get in touch with me so i can resolve this issue Cheers
  12. I have recently satisfied a CCJ I had against me, and the claimant sent me a letter for me to send to the court to notify them of the change. I have no idea where this is supposed to be sent, and I was under the impression it was for the claimaint to notify the court, not me? I'm a little confused so if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.
