Hi all! POPLA decided my appeal against a "PCN" was successful. However they have just reviewed the case after the operator challenged the decision a have given a Refused Appeal. Had this happened to anyone else? And where does one stand with this?

Hi, it's my first post on here so be gentle lol. My partner and I were recently browsing looking for loans we came upon a certain website (which today has been on the news through Natwest) and yes we did put our card details in but at no time did we think that we were actually committing to something, let alone allowing them to take money from our account. Once we spotted the 2 withdrawals from our account we immediately tried to get in touch with the company via phone but it is all automated and it simply tells you to log into your account online and cancel and request a refund that way. When you try to log in online ....... guess what? they have no record of you! I have sent messages through there website all to no avail - we haven't even got an email to say "welcome to........." I called Halifax and they have said, sorry we can't do anything as you put the card details in and it is in that companies small print that they can take that money out! I have just checked my account again to find yet another company has taken another amount out - which happened to be mentioned on the other companies website! Can anybody help please?

Hi Long story short: In November my last year Mrs Rasher agreed to bail my son out of a payday loan. She actioned this by paying the outstanding balance on the account using her joint account Visa Debit card. Yesterday we noticed an odd transaction on our bank statement. It was £200 paid to this payday loan company in mid February. This was not authorised by either of us. Natwest were advised this morning that this was an unauthorised transaction. They have said they will take no action - basically saying that we have an agreement with the payday loan company - needless to say we do not! I am a tad annoyed about this. What should I do next? What are my rights? Thanks BaconRasher

Debt Reverse (Safe Money Ltd) DMP concerns
Jwww posted a topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
Hello out there, thanks for maintaining such a great forum - i was wondering if anyone would be able to lend their wisdom to my predicament. I recently found myself jobless and juggling a number of payday loans - in scrambling for work and having no sociable hours to work with my payday loan providers i approached Debt Reverse - and established a DMP - the first payment has yet to be made but i'm hesitant to send it as despite DebtRev' describing a 'good working relationship' with my payday lenders, i have still received incessant contact from them ( i'm told this is all normal ahead of the first payments being made as part of the DMP - and i do expect something of it from the payday sharks - but the additional costs i've incurred in this period seem ludicrous) i have even had to send a token payment outside of the DMP myself to one lender? as instructed by DebtRev'.. . They are otherwise very curtious and allways at the other end of the phone but ahead of making my first payment to them i was looking for some insight from you guys and girls, i find it hard to place stock in 5 star reviews i find online... Many thanks for any info you can provide! -
This is a little different, i buy, sell repair used laptops and computers for a living, About 12 weeks ago, i was approached by a friend of a friend about a PC system, he wanted me to build, this was a high spec machine which included, screen, etc and windows 7 (licensed), I gave a price of £500, he asked if i did a payment scheme, i dont usually but because of who he was, i agreed, i also i stupidly let him have the PC, I had a deposit off him off £250, which covered most of the cost of the parts. The agreed repayments were £25 per week for 10 weeks, He has not paid a penny since, when i spoke to him he told me to eff off, The friend who recommended him was upset at the way i have been treated and has assured me that he is still using the PC and that it has not broken down, so he cant use that as an excuse. I have sent 2 demand letters to him, now i wish to issue proceedings for the balance, I am a business man and need payment, if i dont, then people will do this all the time, I know this is a consumer fourum, but i dont know where else to turn. He signed an agreement to pay, i havent even charged interest How would i set out the N1 form to reclaim the money, i know how to set out a letter to reclaim bank charges, but this is the first one like this i have done. i learned a lesson, no more credit, for any one
