  1. Hi all, in a panic over my finances. I took out two pay day loans due to debt I couldn't pay and I'm now on Job seeker's and realised I have made my situation a lot more worse than it was before. I borrowed £400 from both and payments are due one on the 27th of this month (quick quid) Quick quid want 450 and the other 6th October. Wonga will want 540 or thereabouts? I'm really getting worried. I understand I need to cancel the CPA but have read nightmare stories about cancelling them as banks..I bank with Barclays aren't always very helpful in regards to doing that. There is no way I can make the repayments and I guess i need to go on payment plan. I just don't know where to start?? Also do I need to close down my current account or is just sufficient to report my card stolen? I don't want the bank charging me extra on top because there isn't sufficient money in the account which is in it's over draft. I'm hoping that I can land a job in the next few weeks but it's very unlikely. I have bills to pay and I just don't know how i'm going to manage. My job seeker's is £55 per week, so it's extremely tight. The job seekers does go into a different account, still with barclays but will that make any difference?? Could they still take it anyway? I shouldn't have taken out the loan as I wasn't exactly employed well I thought I was going to be but then it didn't materialise...... I was over eager and now am suffering the consequences... I'm desperately trying to land a job to make the payment but doubt i'll be able too... Any any advice would be much appreciated. :-(
  2. is there a way of stopping quick quid from taking a rollover payment out that I've set up by Direct Debit? I'm not able to get into my bank to cancel the direct debit at all. Heard a few horror stories but I wanted to give them the heads up and prevent them from taking the funds from my account on the due date as it'll leave me short to pay bills
  3. OK I have decided to negotiate payments with this company as we simply cannot afford the 3 loans we have (Wonga QQ and P2P). In June I negotiated a repayment plan of 4 x £91.12; however, as I said we cant afford this. Since I missed payment I emailed them explaining situation asking not to phone and to write only, offering a £20 per month repayment for the next 6 months. Nothing was received except emails notifying me of overdue payments. In the meantime I posted an I&E sheet with offer of repayment. 5th August email received saying "sorry to hear experiencing financial difficulties" and that I am "able to make payments of any amount at any time, however that does not set a payment plan arrangement. Collection activity will continue per your contractual agreement." The same day i received an email asking me to contact via live chat as "procedures will continue until an acceptable payment arrangement is made" 8th August - letter of overdue payment 19 August - letter of overdue payment 22 August - letter of overdue payment 27 August - letter of overdue payment 30th August - "Please be advised we have not received your debt management details nor your income and expenditure form. Please forward this so we may better assist you" Then today received: "This email is to remind you of your severely overdue loan with QuickQuid. Payment on this loan needs to be made immediately. If we do not receive a response, we will take that as a refusal to pay and will take appropriate collections measures which include, but are not limited to, the use of a third party collections agency. We value you as a customer and would like to help you resolve this matter. Currently, your balance is £194.24 and FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IMMEDIATELY as your account is over 60 days past due. Please understand that this message is very urgent and requires immediate attention. Please contact us immediately to resolve this matter. We have already sent you in the post a statutory default notice and Office of Fair Trade leaflet as required by the Consumer Credit Act 1974." Any suggestions how to proceed?
  4. I owed some money to QQ in 2009, as usual little at first then with rollovers it kept rising. I was made redundant and could not pay back. Motormile have now obtained a CCJ against me and I need to get it to be set aside. The judgement is linked to an address I have moved from. I have no paperwork related to my debt with QQ and no paperwork from Motormile about the court action, presumably this was send to my previous address. The landlord (council) knows our new address as we informed them. What are the available reasons I can use to as court to set aside. Judgement was entered on 2nd August 2013.
  5. Morning all, I have just checked my email and found this from Quick Quid. Dear Up2, Customer ID: xxxxxxx Unless payment is made on your loan by 2 August 2013 it may be sold to a third party collection agency. To help you prevent this transfer your defaulted loan balance has been referred to the QuickQuid Final Resolution Department. QuickQuid will accept a re-payment plan over n/a months. Based on your outstanding balance of n/a this would be a monthly payment of n/a. Please contact our Final Resolution Department between 08:00 and 21:00 Mon - Fri at 0800 016 3114 to accept this offer or to learn about other options available. It is important to provide dates of payment when replying to this e-mail as the arrangement is incomplete without dates of payment. Once a payment plan is in place, collections activities will stop as long as payments are made on time. The only forms of payment accepted for this offer are Debit Card or Direct Debit Mandate. If your account information has changed please inform our agents so they can update your information. QuickQuid Final Resolution [email protected] 0800 016 3114 http://www.QuickQuid.co.uk I have never had a QQ loan and I'm going to ignore it, but the fact that all relevant details of the loan say n/a makes me think it is a [problem] email Has anybody else had anything like this? I have enough debt of my own lol, don't need made up ones too - Should I be reporting this to anyone Up2
  6. Hi all, So I have a repayment plan with Quick Quid, which I had to default on the original repayment, in order for them to agree to the repayment plan - which is fine and affordable. They have however sent me a default letter, with their logo stamped across the envelope. I don't think this is very confidential and also quite embarrassing, as I live with family and don't want them made aware of the situation as I'm now in control. I talked to one of their reps on live chat, who stated that they have to send me one each month until my balance is paid off, is that true? I've found that when I defaulted on my credit card, once I'd come to an arrangement with them, I didn't receive any more letters. Any advice would be appreciated, Many thanks!
  7. A lot of the news on these sites it very negative regards payday lenders, and I am completely behind you. However, can I just say how easy quid.co.uk were to deal with when setting up a payment plan. I sent one email, and got a response 10 minutes later offering me a payment plan, which was so simple to set-up. Little bit of good news / hope to some of you out there!
  8. I emailed quick quid several weeks ago regarding my outstanding PDL and they have agreed to a repayment that is suitable for me- I gave them my bank details and debit card details at least twice (I have an account for this purpose)they keep stating that they will continue collection procedures as I have not agreed to a payment plan or given my repayment details!!!!! I have corresponded via email over 10 times, made a formal complaint and reported them to the OFT as they fail to acknowledge my acceptance of the plan. I am sick and tired of emailing them- they don't read my emails. I am getting bombarded by texts, letters and emails despite me asking them several times to correspond by email- I am viewing this as harrassment. I have evidence of all emails sent and received- it amounts to 9 pages in word document. I have now received a letter this morning with a default notice!!!!!! I am livid- I have tried to pay them this so called agreed repayment plan for over 1 month now and am at my wits end. What can I do as I feel I have exhausted all possibilities!!! Any help greatly appreciated. (I've also posted this in QQ thread)

  10. I took out a quick quid loan in 2010 for £200 which i defaulted on after 2 rollovers. Which i forgot about after losing my home, breaking up with my partner then finding out i was pregnant all within 3 months so the loan was the last thing on my mind. In march last year carter forbes contacted me (harrassed with calls and texts every hour) and offered me a reduced payment plan for the loan which at that time was over £500. I agreed the repayment plan at £80 pm and i stupidly gave them my bank details to make the first payment. A week later was pay day so as you do i went to get my money to find it had all gone. Bank was useless in sorting this out told me to wait for it to show on my account. I then logged on to my email to find carter forbes claiming i defaulted on my payment plan not sure why since my next payment wasnt due for 3 weeks. 4 days later my account showed carter forbes had taken £5 untill my account was empty i phoned them and they claimed since i defaulted it was their right to take my money that way. I got very angry at that point as i was unable to pay my rent or feed my 3 children so they agreed to settle my account since i owed £567 and they took £800 i demanded my money back but wouldnt give it to me. Eventually i gave up lessoned learned no more payday loans and NEVER give debit card details to dca. I thought that was the end of it but now quick quid emailed my last month saying i havent paid the loan back and passed it to motormile finance. I emailed them stating that i paid it through carter forbes but they say they have no record of this. What can i do as i have no proof since i delt with carter forbes over the phone?
  11. Please please help me quick quid closed my account and are telling me i no longer owe the money that is due to be paid tomorrow (£129) to be precise!! I've rang and spoke on live support to tell them i want to pay the money but they keep telling me i do not owe them anything? I'm worried this will come back on me please help!!!?
  12. Finally I'm admitting that I cant keep paying back each month only to borrow again the next to replace the money I need for bills. I sent both companys and email saying I am not in a position to pay the full amount outstanding and wish to set up payment plans. I've read a bit on various websites that looks like I'm going to be in for a lot of hassle. Can anyone advise what to do now and tell me what to expect? They are both due to be paid this Friday so what should I be doing to cancel them?. I'm starting to panic now expecting to be hassled at my work which I can get in a lot of trouble for etc. Any advice would be much appreciated!

  14. Hi guys, been battling my payday loans and im down to my final loan which is with QuickQuid. I took out £450 and the total repayable is £583. I opted for the two part loan where i pay the interest of £133 on the 1/11/12 (TOMORROW) and then the full £583 on the 29/11/12 This then somehow changed for the second instalment to the 15/11/12 which is only 2 weeks! Which wont be my payday! Is there a way i can avoid paying the £133 tomorrow as it seems like i'm literally throwing this money away! What will happen if i default this payment tomorrow. I could possibly pay them the £533 in one instead tomorrow but cant really afford to.. I will then have nothing left and wont have travel money, rent etc Whats the best way to go about paying only the £583. If i default tommorow and ask for a repayment plan? Thanks
  15. hi i stupidly took out a loan with quick quid im due them 325 im just wondering what length of time do they do repayment plans over ive read they dont do long term plans anybody had any experience with this? thanks
  16. Hi, Ive read many threads on this same topic, but i am confused. I have outstanding balance with QQ, and ive tried setting up payment arrangements, but none of these i can afford. I used to talk to them on the phone, but i do not any more. I sent them an email saying i could afford £5 a week and i want all communicaiton to be over the phone. They sent me this email back: We received your email regarding your loan balance and your situation has been noted. Collection procedures will continue until an acceptable payment arrangement is made. Please call our Collections Department to set up a scheduled payment plan. Now i am not sure what to reply? do i repeat what i said in my prior email to them, or is there something else i need to tell them? Thank you for your time and advice!
