  2. Hello Everyone, My friend has her first work programme appointment on the 24th June 2013 and was unable to attend due to being very anxious, being sick and had panic attacks! I rang Ingeus and spoke to her Employment Advisor, he was busy when I rang so I left a message that is was important he call back because it was to do with my friend's appointment and that she was unable to attend that day! He did call back and I duly answered the phone call, I told him why my friend was unable to attend and if she can have another appointment date and that I will come with her, I've explained about her anxiety and panic attacks and also told him her advisor at the Job Centre knows of her circumstances as I've had to cancel an appointment she had with her job centre advisor before, I requested that my friend will need a private room as she will not cope being in a room full of people! All what we asked was granted and I also told Ingeus advisor to send me a letter to confirm my telephone conversation with him! Today a letter arrived there was no mention of speaking to me nor mentioned about requesting for a private room all the letter says! 'We have attempted to contact you by telephone but was unable to reach you. We have therefore arranged an appointment for you on such a date etc, etc. I couldn't believe what I was reading' Good job I wrote a letter confirming my telephone conversation with him on the 24th June and mentioned everything we spoke about, I've kept a copy of course and sent the letter to him! I need to write a letter to him about the letter I've received today not mentioning anything of our telephone conversations, my brain has gone pickled at the moment and I want to be careful how I write the letter! He has lied and also not stating the fact of out conversations has anyone come across this sort of problem with Ingeus it will be good to know about them a bit! Thanks helen
  3. Hi, I have a debt with Lloyds, due to a personal loan when I was employed by them. Of course there was PPI on there, as an employee it was required of me in order to get the loan. long story short, I had to resign from my job with them due to moving hundreds of miles into a womens refuge to escape domestic violence. They refused my ppi claim as I had resigned and wouldn't help me transfer my job to another branch. I tried to get them to agree to reduced payments, while I got sorted; again refused. As I had so much else going on, they really were the least of my worries and I ignored them. Right or wrong, I know better now and wouldn't dream of doing it again. The debt became statute barred in October 13, I've found this out through the CAB. I've been getting letters from Lowells, but having read advice on here, ignored them. My credit file was clean, the default had dropped off. I was accepted for a 'proper' bank account, and had to pass a credit check for my current job so I know it was fine. Now all of a sudden, Lowells have placed defaults on my credit file for every month from October 13, which is when I'm assuming they bought the debt. They're saying last payment was made 2009, it wasn't, it was June 2007. I obviously can't ignore them any longer, they're also threatening to take me to court, bless their cotton socks. What do I do now please? Thanks in advance!
  4. Ive just had a weird conversation with a collectica representative. I think he was lying but... Just after moving into my new place about a month ago, I had a letter through the door addressed to the brother of the last tenant "notice of intention to search..." for outstanding fines HMCTS I rang the "enforcement agent in charge" and explained that the person they were after had left a few months before (there was also best part of 2 months while the flat was renovated after the state it had been left in). The guy seemed pretty reasonable, he took my name and said he would send a form for me to fill in stating that I was the new tenant and that would be the end of it. Well I never received the form but today I got "removal visit". I was in at the time and there was no knock, I heard the letter box and that was it. A couple of hours later as I was leaving for work (late shift) I picked up the letter and thought "oh sh*t" so I phoned the new "enforcement agent". I told him who I was and why I was ringing and that was when it got weird. First he said that he knew that the person he was after still lived at the address. I said he was mistaken. He said that the person he was after must live with me. I said I lived alone. He said that the person lives at the address with his sister and gave the correct name of the last tenant. I said that he was mistaken and that I lived at the address alone , not with the guys sister. He said that what I was telling him was suspicious as he had just ended a phone call with the person he was after; that the person had told him he still lived at the address with his sister , and that he was going to meet the person at the address in the next 30 mins. I said great, ill be waiting for you here. I called my boss and explained the situation. My boss is a diamond and said that I should take the time off to get it sorted. I waited 45 mins but no show, so I called the "agent" again who said he was 5 mins away. I suppose you realize he never turned up. Ok so Ive read a few threads and think I need to get a statement 1: can this be done in a magistrates court? I work next door to the local one. 2) but really, why should I spend £10! Can I contact the bailiff firm and tell them to stop harassing me? will this do any good? oh and BTW if this was a "removal visit" shouldn't they have knocked the door? And what about the time Ive lost from work? finally, as this is a matter of court fines I assume that the bailiffs will be able to force entry, although this is unlikely is it only by paying the £10 for a statement that I can stop this? Finally finally, isn't it a bit of a sh*t that you have to pay the legislature to stop the legislature illegally breaking in and taking money from you? Isn't that what the mafia do? Thanks for your help

  6. Hi Everyone, I am suspended awaiting a discipline hearing. My employer said that when I am given a hearing date I cannot resign, but that they would consider it. I asked them to explain and give me details of my contract or the relevant law that they are relying on, they didn't reply. Does anyone know the answer, my opinion is they are talking rubbish, if I hand in my notice, what are they going to do? say " sorry you can't resign, we won't accept it" can't believe they even think they can do it. In that case I could say, I don't accept you sacking me, but I might consider it. Surely resignation is not a two way thing. Look forward to your opinions.
  7. Hi, I have just found out that my ESA (WRAG) was stopped because I put in an appeal about being put into the wrong work group. I was then told that I could not appeal as time limit had ran out. NOwhere in any of my paperwork did it say I could appeal if decision was wrong. So I sent in a letter with a letter from consultant at the hospital as I feel that I am in the wrong group and being hounded by the job centre to keep going there to see my adviser. She then keeps telling me I can do training courses for Plumbing, electrics etc., Now this is considering I have COPD Arthritis in both hips and carpel tunnel syndrome and suffer from depression and raynauds. All confirmed by the hospital. They have now said that it will start and be in my account on the 28th Jan. Can they stop it even if I cant appeal. The last appt at the job centre I could not attend and cancelled as I was ill and said I could provide proof of this. I was also told that I could send in a letter and say that I did not appeal in the time limit as I was not informed. Will they stop my money again while this is going on? How many interviews do you have to attend at the job centre with an advisor I have had 10 now and missed the 11th. Also been told that my review is due around october is it worth holding out till then and then put every bit of evidence with it or send in letter. Thanks for your help
  8. Hi I need help with working out how much PPI I paid on Capone Card
  9. Hi I really need help!! I have had a default put on my credit file by BG which I was completely unaware of only came across this because I was refused a mortgage. Credit file shows the default of £64 had been put on 25/11/11 however I cancelled in April 07 and was sent my final bill for 10/05/07. I still have this final bill so my question is can BG put a default on 4 years later and if not should they have removed it by now as it has been on my file for over 6 years . I have been on the phone speaking to Dan from the complaints management team at british gas who spoke to a member of the team that remove defaults and they point blank refused to remove my default because they did not have the date for my final bill. Dan asked me to email a copy of my final bill to him so he can show them, I have emailed a copy over. I now need to wait till Monday to see what will happen. Any advice will be appreciated as I don't know where I will go from here if they refuse to remove the default
  10. I truly hope this was due to health reasons and for no other ! I do appreciate because of their training, they might not be suitable as family pets once they have been retired. But there must be some place for them.
  11. And the punch line to that very hilarious joke is: You better sit down for this - Mr McEwan will be paid £1m a year plus £350,000 in lieu of a pension. http://news.sky.com/story/1148639/rbs-boss-mcewan-to-put-customers-first He even has the effrontery to mention the government bailing them out and how important they are to the UK.
  12. my wife checked her credit ref this morning and found that a default has been added to her credit file dated 13 march 2013 for £303. she moved out of the property in 2006 and the credit date is 2006. there has been no contact with the water company since this date. My question is Can a debt from 2006 be marked as a default in 2013? Many Thanks for your help
  13. never really thought of this one before when quoting an historical date in an essay, is it a requirement to put AD after the date an example would be 1066 AD
  14. Hi Folks, Had my dreaded ATOS medical on the 4th of December (been on long term incapacity for 21 years) and had my Jobcentre Plus phone call this morning. I have apparantly been put into WRAG starting on the 10th of January which kind of surprised me a little as one of the illnesses i have is worth 15 points alone but after trawling the internet i appear to be one of the lucky ones. Anyway, i also have underlying entitlement to Carers Allowance for my son so if anyone out there can tell me what happens with this please let me know. A friend told me that i shouldnt have to attend these work focused interviews because of the carer aspect but i just want to make 100% sure and how does Carers Allowance affect the amount of benefit i would be entitled to. Delilah PS. I received a questionnaire about the Atos medical and the way i was treated at the medical. The questionnaire didnt contain my name or personal details so i filled it in and told them straight that i was made to feel like a liar and that the assessor i got was a waste of space. Has anyone else had a questionnaire after attending their medical
  15. Hi, rather than copy saying things here is a copy of my E-mail to pcworld; 'Hello, I went into Currys/PCWorld megastore, and looked at monitors. The Samsung monitors were arranged in ascending order and so I thought that a particular monitor was indeed the 24” monitor described on a price tag. Underneath a ‘Samsung Syncmaster SA700’ was the price tag of £159.99 including a £20 cashback offer that I can claim later. However the model that I eventually purchased was a ‘Samsung Syncmaster S24B350’. Before purchase of course I looked to make sure the model number on the box matched that of the price tag. But the monitor that I was looking at to obviously compare screen quality and menu features in the store then and there was the wrong model. I have since searched the model that was incorrectly on display and found that the screen is a 23” monitor as well. No wonder when I got home I was surprised to find a larger screen that I remember, with different buttons, no 120Hz refresh rate, no DVI input option, and a lack of a 3D conversion feature that were all present on the display monitor! I am convinced that it is not a simple case of mistake on my part, as many electrical goods have differing serial/model numbers as has been my past experience with monitors and computer components especially and so assumed that either this was a store model tracking system or an alternative labelling of the product. I look forward to your reply, and thank you in advance for doing so.' So what can I do? Obviously there were no signs that this monitor was not the one on offer for £160. So I don't know what to do, as I had to open the monitor to find this out. I will also post any replies I get, but I have since tweeted them a short message.
