  1. I have just signed forms to purchased a used car from a dealership and have paid a small deposit. Returning home I have found the exact same car (can see the registration plate) for cheaper on the dealer’s website and advertised even cheaper on Auto Trader. At the dealership I went through price negotiations with the dealer and he said that he has reduced the original price by a few hundred, but even the final price we settled on is higher than the online sites. The dealer told me there was no way he could go any lower Do I have a case to complain and do they need to honour the online price?
  2. I have a £12.5k debt to Nationwide that was sold to MKDP. On 30th September 2015 the debt will be statute barred however on 27th November 2013 MKDP issued a claim in court to which I put in a defence - to do with exorbitant charges I think but I can't remember now. I have not heard anything since does this mean that the debt is fixed for them to come back anytime or will it be barred on 30th September 2015 if I hear nothing from them. Now that Hoist have hold it of it I doubt it will get that far would it be better to contact them and offer some form of repayment?
  3. Saturday purchased car via right car supermarket sold as a 1.4 fiesta advised it was a cheap insurance car also cheap tax. on talking with my insurers they told me the car I was registering was in fact a 1.6 fiesta the insurance on this vehicle would not be lower.contacted the company asked for an explanation they said they could not give me one as I had been told the correct details and told the insurance company the wrong ones as the finance for the car was completed nothing they could do. So I must pick the car upon Thursday as arranged. telling them that the details I gave my insurers was written down by themselves on a company card stated they was busy would have to ring me back on Monday.we bought the car on the idea it would reduce our tax also our insurance make motoring a bit cheaper.also doubts over the credibility of the car also the company. where do I stand on this one please additional details Make and model: FORD FIESTA DIESEL HATCHBACK (2008-2012) Registration number: xxxxx Serial or chassis number: xxxxx Date of registration: 25/03/2011 00:00:00 Cash price. £7,717.80 (This is the total cash price of the goods or services.)
  4. Hi, at the end of March my elderly parents (85 & 80) visited a caravan show. They saw a mini camper van for sale and my father was quite interested. He had a vision of being able to use it to take my mother, who has terminal cancer for days out. The van was on sale for £23,999. My parents looked around the rest of the show and on their way back as they were approaching the stand were they saw the above mentioned van the salesman had sign with a reduced price of £19,995. In parents words "he told us he was reducing it for the show" My father was attracted by this and signed up to purchase the vehicle and paid a deposit. They did not really have a proper look around the vehicle and salesman didn't offer to show them any of the features or how things worked. The van was on display with the beds made up so my father didn't even have an opportunity to sit in the vehicle. Both my parents need the aid of a stick to walk. Originally my father agreed to part ex his caravan but later decided to withdraw this as he felt he could get a better price. As the vehicle was un-registered the company selling insisted that the balance was paid before it could be registered. My father paid the balance and waited to hear from them. Communication from the company has been poor from the outset. Eventually they confirmed a date for the delivery of Friday 8th May. On the day of the delivery my father had a telephone message to say that they could not deliver because they had not received all the paperwork back from the DVLA. My father contacted the seller and left a message to say that if they planned to deliver the following week he would not be available Tue - Thurs as he had to take my mother to hospital each day. By the following Thurs (14th) he had not heard anything so with his permission I contacted the salesman to find out what was happening. Everything was now in place so a date of 21st May was agreed for delivery. The van was delivered and immediately on inspection my parents & sister noticed a number of defects, scratches, rust etc. On the sales document the vehicle was ticked as being new. Other things transpired that they were not aware of such as the fact that the engine was under the drivers seat. The procedure for elevating the roof very complicated. During discussion with the salesman it was claimed that the vehicle was sold as a demonstration model, something that my father claims not to have been made aware of at the time of sale. On the basis of the defects found my father rejected the van and it was taken back to their premises. After taking advice from Citizens Advise we wrote to them claiming that under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 the vehicle was not as described and not of acceptable quality and demanded a refund of the full amount paid. My father received a very angry response this week claiming that the vehicle was clearly marked as a demonstration model. It suggested that we had accused them of high pressure selling tactics - this has never been claimed in any communication with them. It also claimed that the defects found were minor and that the vehicle is of acceptable quality & fit for purpose. As a gesture of goodwill they have rectified the faults and they are asking him to make arrangements to collect the vehicle. Advise from CAB is that we write back and say we are not satisfied with their reply but I don't know were this will get us. Could we have any claim to cancel the contract under the "off premises contract" regulations? Sorry this is a bit long winded but any help will be most appreciated as this is causing the whole family a lot of stress with both my parents being ill with cancer. thanks
  5. I was sold an un-roadworthy vehicle by a trader masquerading as a private seller. I've sought to contact the trader by email, phone and mail but he has failed to respond to any communication. The car trader is based in Scotland, while I reside in England. As the sale took place in Scotland, does anyone know if am I obliged to proceed through the Scottish sheriff court system? The England and Wales system is available online, while in Scotland one physically has to file papers in the sheriff court as I understand. Thanks in advance for any thoughts
  6. Hi all, My girlfriend has today purchased a car and completed an HPI check after paying the full amount (yes I know not great...) the HPI check shows that there is outstanding PCP finance from when the car was originally built. I spoke to the garage (Lookers Used Cars in Bristol) and they have assured me that they will get this removed and that the HPI check will be clear. They also mentioned that they "put" 3 months of finance on to the car when it is purchased and this has been removed. Can someone just confirm if this is correct? How could a garage end up with a car in 2015 when the HPI check shows the finance is outstanding from 2012? I would expect them to have access to Experian or something silimar so that they can run checks on when purchasing the car from the individual? Also, the V5 (and HPI) checks show 0 previous owners and it still has the ladys name and address who would have brought the car in originally. Is this correct? Thanks, yokkers.
  7. Hello I purchased a Motorcycle last sunday the 8th which was from a gumtree ad so basically private. The bike was description didn't mention any issues. On my way to see the bike the Private seller mentioned a problem with the starter motor but he would consider £150 of the cost of the bike which was £950 so basically £800. So i took the bike of which i had no knowledge of how it should run or how much the fault would be to get fixed etc. I took it to a bike mechanic near my work to look at the described fault and it wasn't as he said it was something else. Which the mechanic then repaired but on doing so he said "but that is not what concerns me" and pointed out another fault which he mentioned the Imortal word everyone dreads "safety" especially when riding a motorbike in central London as i do. So i notified the person i purchased from and he said "I dont believe those parts need replacing prove it" So i took the bike to another garage for a second opinion and he said there are major problems with that bike and the chap that had sold you the bike knew this which is why he has sold it to you.I have texted and left voicemails for this person and had no responce funnily or not so for me im more than a tad angry. So i have a copy of the original advert from gumtree and have an audit trail of the messages(mainly me messaging him) plus times and dates where i have called him with no answer etc. So as i have no address to visit him even though he probably thinks "your problem pal". So once i get the log book through im thinking my only route is small claims court is this worth pursuing?.
  8. I recently purchased a bed and (under bed) drawers for £599 plus £20 delivery as a package from 'rustic roots furniture' It arrived (a few weeks late) and to our disappointment the general workmanship was far below our expectations, and with numerous faults. * Panels not finishing flush, particularity bad and noticeable on the foot board. * Very rough finish to all surfaces. Some panels of noticeably low quality wood. * Drawers panels are split where handles attached. * Inadequate/under sized metal brackets included. * Requires a lot more assembly than anticipated, its left to me to drill all the holes for the side rails etc to construct it. Even ignoring the faults I feel the bed is poorly designed and would need modification to make it fit for purpuse (bigger better brackets etc) I contacted te seller the day it was delivered to ask for a return and refund, unfortunately he did not agree to this. He offered: Take back the bed by a courier of his choosing at a cost of £80 (he only charged £20 delivery) but he refused to take back the drawers. He says they were custom made for us, we never asked for custom drawers, in fact the invoice even states they are "standard" drawers. And obviously a set of under-bed draws that go with this bed would be useless to us. I paid using a debit card, just wondering what options I have left here? Many thanks in advance for any advice.
  9. Hi I have two old credit card accounts with MBNA which have been sold to Arrow Global . I had no joy from Arrow with a CCA request for both account so i did a SAR to MBNA. Neither account had PPI but both will have incurred charges along the way . In the SAR pack i can see no documentation for the transfer or sale of the account to Arrow. Must this be in the pack for Arrow to chase me for the debt . As they are old accounts 2001 and 2004 i have included the CCA in the SAR pack for anyone able to quantify them . I currently pay both accounts £1pcm still to MBNA for the past 2 years while things are tight . Many Thanks
  10. Hi Guys, I wonder if anyone can provide me with some advice regarding an issue I have with an online vendor. The company sells bespoke canvasses where you specify what is printed on the canvass. The one I ordered for example was for my mothers 80th birthday and had her date of birth, names of grandkids etc. We had struggled to find a suitable gift for my mother and this seemed ideal especially as we were running out of time and the website stated the following regarding delivery: "We have 2 shipping options you can select from at Checkout. The first is Standard delivery, which is free of charge. This delivery ensures your item arrives within 5-7 working days from the confirmation of your design preview. Our second option is Priority Delivery, for those who require their designs a little quicker. This service costs £6 incl. VAT and ensures your item will arrive within 2-3 working days from confirmation of design preview. This service is also a signed for service for that little extra security." Unfortunately took 7 days to deliver and we missed my mothers birthday by 1 day. We challenged the delivery driver when he delivered the item and he admitted he had the item the day before my mother's birthday but didn't deliver as had no time. The seller has been particularly unhelpful and until today only responded to 1 email from my partner which advised the item has been despatched. I emailed the company this morning advising that the item arrived too late for my mothers birthday and I had to rush out and find an alternative gift. As such I was rejecting the item and requested a refund in full. The response back from the company was rather terse and pointed me in the direction of their terms and conditions stating "I suggest fully reading these and then referring to any clauses we have failed on in any further communication from yourself." I have checked the terms and conditions regarding delivery and it states: "10.4. Any dates quoted for delivering the Goods are approximate only. If no date is specified then it will take place within 30 days or a reasonable time of the date of the Confirmation Notice, unless there are exceptional circumstances. 10.5. We shall not be liable for any delay in delivering the Goods, however caused." Does this mean I cannot reject the item? Thanks,
  11. Hi All, This seems to be a bit of a complex one to me but hoping you guys can clear up what steps to take next if any. Purchased a BMW from a private seller 2 months ago also in Scotland for market value at £5600 and paid cash. The ad was on auto trader and as such I did a mobile car check to make sure it was not stolen or writen off etc. The seller had owned the car for over 3 years after purchasing it from someone down south in England near Carlisle in I believe 2011 from documentation. It was owned by that person in Carlile for what appears to be just under 2 years. Today I received a letter from a Company called Billing Finance Ltd stating. "Dear Sir BMW Registration *My REG* ("The Vehicle") We are the owners of the Vehicle, which is subject to a hire purchase agreement. The Finance outstanding on the Vehicle has not been settled. It has come to our attention that you have recently been registered as the the keeper of the vehicle on June 2014. In order that we can fully review our position in respect of the Vehicle, I enclose a new keeper questionnaire. Please complete the questionnaire and return it to us together with proof of your purchase of the vehicle within 7 days of the date of this letter, failing which the Vehicle will be recovered without further notice. In the meantime whilst we conduct further enquiries, we have the title to the Vehicle and all of our rights remain expressly reserved. You must not dispose of the vehicle and you must keep it safe and insured and within your possession. If you dispose of the Vehicle at this stage then you may be liable to us for conversion. " It then has several pages asking for basically all my personal details such as. My name and address, my employers name and address, Payslips, bank slips, All the purchase details of the vehicle, if I sold my other vehicle to pay for it who did I sell it to and how much and that persons name and address and proof of sale. If I used finance to pay for it who from and copies of agreements. Now what gets me is that I then done a HPi check costing 20 quid and it does indeed show Finance as Below. Outstanding finance Recorded against VRM and VIN Description BMW Date /2008 - Full date here Finance house BILLING FINANCE LTD Finance house telephone 01604 402204 Agreement reference ******** - Agreement number was here Agreement type Hire Purchase The lender owns the vehicle until the loan is fully repaid, including the final 'Option to Purchase' fee. So I phoned the previously seller he was very helpful and claimed he done a HPI check when he bought it and will send this on Wednesday as he's on Holiday (we shall see) but he has not heard a peep from them in 3 years and new nothing about it. I do want to believe him and he has poured thousands over the 3 years to keep the car running as its not a cheap car. So what do I do now. The letter was not sent recorded. Can they legally just come up into Scotland to someone who is the 3rd or 4th owner of the car since the finance and just take it? Will I be liable for the finance? OR do I try and take the person I bought it from to court? Really confused on what to do and not sure if I should contact the finance company they have a really bad reputation from a google search. HELP
  12. Hi, I'd really appreciate some guidance on the following: I've requested an SAR from Lloyds TSB a couple of weeks ago and yesterday, I received a letter from LTSB requesting a signature and completion of a Data Subject Access Request Form (4 pages of pointless questions as far as I can see). Tackling the form first, can I politely tell them to stick their form as I have already given them ample information in my original SAR letter with the £10 postal order and remind them that the clock is still ticking? Regarding the signature, I can go one of three ways: Continue as before, with a printed name only and enclose the template signature letter. Use the CAG Anti-Tamper signature. Get a mate to sign my name for me. Any advice on the above would be much appreciated. Ta, Krysp
  13. I purchased a vehicle about 8 months ago from a private seller. It was a good deal but not a bargain. We starting communicating with the seller via the eBay advert and then proceeded to the sale take a large amount of cash with us which once viewed, proceeded to the clients bank and deposited it into her account. I did question about any finance at the time but the person seemed very trust worthy, had owned the vehicle for about 1 yr and advised their was a small amount of finance on the car but was paid off.... I didn't see any reason not to believe. Anyhow, from trying to later trade the vehicle in we were advised about the finance. We contacted VW Financial services would then referred the communications to their acting solicitor who over a period of time asked us to complete a questionnaire and fired many a emails forwards and backwards asking many questions. They have been unable to communicate with the original owner who took the finance out.... They have now come back to us stating they don't feel we have purchased the vehicle in good faith and therefore have advised we need to return the vehicle back to their client VW, giving us 7 days to do so... Can anyone please help.... We're set to lose £16,000 pounds
  14. Hi All I traveled down to london to pick up a car, got it for a really good price. Sold by a dealer on ebay as "Sold as seen" ( i understand this has no legal bearing) Now on my journey on the way home i noticed the clutch slipping, this seems to be getting slightly worse! I had a quote from ford for £950+ And a reasonable on from a local garage for £250 labour (if i supply parts) Now, my question is, how do i go about contacting the dealer to try and recover some of these costs? There was mention on the advert of 2 defects with the car (easily solved ones), however no mention of this! Is there a template letter i can send to them maybe? Thanks
  15. I purchased my Dell laptop in January 2012 for £450. It only lasted until October 2013, then the fan gave up. I know it only had a one year warranty but I remember reading somewhere about an item being fit for use? I took it back to the store and Know How repaired it at a cost to me of £94. The service was terrible and it must have cost me a fortune in telephone calls. They customer service is none existant. I wondered if its too late to claim back the cost of the repair. I'm assuming probably not as I've already paid, but thought it was worth asking. I would never, ever buy anything from PC World again. Terrible product, terrible service. Any help very much appreciated.
  16. Hi, I would really like some assistance with how to tackle a debt that has been pretty much dormant since 2008. The debt of just over £2500 has been purchased by 1st credit & they are chasing for payment. The last time I acknowledged the debt was n Oct 2008 as I claimed back the PPI which was offset against my arrears. As I live in Scotland so the statute barred time is 5 years so I have a few months to try stall. I have already received the credit agreement which looks to be all good with my signature & the terms on back. Also they sent statements of the payments made on debt including the returned PPI. Is there anything else I should be trying as I genuinely can't pay, im up to my eyes in debt & hardly have enough to get me to work at end of month. Luckily I have no assets so nothing can be taken from me. Any advise would be appreciated.
  17. Hi All, I purchase a 32" Tv from Tesco at a very good price just about £159 which is not a misprice by the way until it went out of stock, it was despatched for next day delivery however the TV failed to arrive. Yodel claimed it was left with my neighbor however the neighbor in question is hardly ever at home and I am the one who actually receives parcel for the said neighbor, but I check with the neighbor anyway and it was not there. I was home all day on the said day but I was sure there was no yodel driver about. Tesco are still investigating and I dread them coming back to me asking to refund my payment as I really do want the TV and if buying similar TV else where would definitely cost loads more. Can I insist on another comparable TV or find the tv elsewhere and claim the difference from them?. Item in question here
  18. We purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L auto with 60K on clock last Wednesday from a dealer. We drove it 60 miles home with no issue and everything worked okay. On checking it out, we noticed that the locking wheel nuts which are standard on the vehicle had been replaced with normal wheel nuts. IMHO the vehicle as no longer standard and had been modified. We contacted the dealer and they said they would get back to us, but never did so we contacted them again. It was agreed that we would purchased the locking wheel nuts and they would reimburse us. On Thursday we went out in and at one point we started to over take a slower moving vehicle and accelerated expecting the car to kick down and take off like a rocket, but nothing happened despite depressing the pedal to the floor. I have had many autos and have another auto so I am familair with how they work. We had to brake and pull back in behind the vehicle we were going to overtake. I assumed that perhaps as the vehicle was new to us, I may have done something like using the cruise control and setting the speed of a maximum. On stopping, switching off and setting off again, kick down worked perfectly. Unfortunately the following day we had a similar incident. Gearbox functions okay and will change if you are going up a hill, but obviously at the wrong time. Today went out in the vehicle and no kick down whatsoever no matter what I tried. I phoned the dealer at about 10am and informed them of the problem and they told me the workshop would phone me back. Eventually I had to phone at about 2pm to chase them and about 10 minutes later the workshop phoned. I told them of the problem and they said they would need to discuss it with the director of the second hand car dealership. Dealership and service centre are one and the same organisation. Still waiting for them to contact us back, but I guess it is still a bit early to phone back. Otherwise vehicle appears to be okay. Dealer seems to be reluctant to do anything and we are the ones always initiating phone calls. As the vehicle is on HP, what sort of pressure can I put on the finance company which is Close Motor Finance to get the problem sorted if the dealer continues to drag their heels? Thanks.
  19. Hi All I am new to this site as I am urgently seek advice on a purchase I have just made on preloved. I am a sole trader who sells wedding dresses online. I have customers who buy in bulk from me so I source preloved/sample gowns to sell on to them. I recently purchased 40 wedding dresses from a lady on the preloved site and asked that all the dresses were modern styles and she confirmed and advised most were designer (which you would assume to be more expensive looking). When the dresses arrived, few are designer and they are all cheap looking and really awful. I contacted her straight away to request a return and she is refusing to take them back. I paid with paypal and have submitted a claim but am concerned I won't get a refund as she is claiming to have sought legal advice who have stated I have been dishonest and never told her I was a business (sole trader) and that this is a case of buyers remorse. Am I covered under the distance selling regulations as I am a sole trader or any consumer act please? Any advice would be gratefully received please. Thanks so much jet2610
  20. Hi, I have a tmobile account. I went online to a third party mobile site because I needed a new laptop and my partner needs a new phone so I tried to put an order in for a new mobile contract that had a laptop as a sign up gift. When I clicked to complete the order the page said error and actually said "your order can not be processed at this time". I did not get any emails or anything, so I assumed the order had not gone through. I went else where and was all sorted but 5 days after trying to place the order a mobile was delivered by the company above. I have returned the mobile this morning, it arrived Friday. My problem is when I tried to call the company, they said that if I return the phone they will 'try' to cancel my contract. Having logged on to my original tmobile account I have now got a second line and my bill is due to be produced on the 18th. I phoned tmobile who said they can't do anything because the line was purchased through a third party! Im getting really stressed that im going to have to pay a mobile contract that I don't want. Any advice on my rights and what to do? Thanks in advance, I love you guys
  21. I purchased an HP Pavilion laptop for my daughter from Currys online in May 2011 for £379.99. It wouldn't have been my choice but that was the machine she wanted. 18 months later, there is a problem with the screen which has been traced back to a fault in the VGA connection to the Motherboard, which can't be repaired and necessitates the replacement of the Motherboard. We didn't purchase Currys extended warranty at the time of purchase due to its poor reputation. I have been advised by both the CAB and Aberdeen Trading Standards that although the manufacturers 12 month warranty has expired, a major component such as the Motherboard should reasonably be expected to last more than 18 months fault free and that we should pursue the matter with the retailer. We visited the local Currys store on Sunday where they were obviously not interested and the Manager was 'too busy' to speak to us. We were given a form to complete and send to Currys Customer Services where I expect we will be 'fobbed off'. Before I go any further, does anybody have experience of similar issues with Currys and who can advise me on the best course of action and tactics to employ?
  22. Hi Guys After some advice really and ive seen a few threads linked to this site so thought i would give it a try In march 2012 i purchased a car for the sum of £6300 from a seller on EBAY, he had good feedback etc. So the story goes Phoned the guy to check condition, mileage etc. asked if the car was hpi clear to which he replied yes. Didnt want to take his word for it as it was alot of money so carried out a hpi check at £20 showing the car to be clear of all checks including finance and insurance write off. Went to veiw the car and payed cash for it there and then, drove it back as the guy was still covered insurance wise. On tuesday this week whilst i was out a guy working for a company called northwest collections and recoveries droped an envelope through the door with a note to call him and a questionnaire. On wednesday i gave the guy a call and he explained to me that the car is on a hpi agreement with a previous owner. I informed him of the situation and that ive carried out a hpi etc with proof and he advised me to fill out the questionnaire and return it back with all the details and has said that i have done everyhting i could to check it was a clean car to buy so shouldnt have anything to worry about NWRC are working on behalf of a company called Bluestone credit managemnt who have bought the debt from SANTANDER. group. Bluestone have refused to give me a copy of the finance agreement even with the name and address of the person the agreement is with. Where do i stand in regards to this? From what i understand as im an innocent purchaser and i have done everything i could to prove the car was free from debt before i purchased it, i have good title over the vehicle and the finance house cannot make a claim against me or the vehicle. As added strength i have since carried out an additional hpi check thorugh the RAC website that also states VIN and VRM clear from any history. Shall i return the questionnaire and return with both hpi checks and the bill of sale i got or should i seek further legal advice? Many thanks Steve
  23. Hello everybody, great forum. Im a newbie here so im sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have a potential serious problem. In August 2012, I purchased an Audi Q7 from a privateindividual from Derby. The car was advertised on Autotrader and EBay. I won thecar on eBay and went down to check it out. Everything checked out ok, the HPIreport was clean. I made arrangements to come and collect the car the followingweekend, when I had time to tax and insure the car for the way home. There was nothing wrong with the car and I paid £20,000 forit Cash. The seller requested CASH, I tried to pay by bank transfer or Bankers chequebut he refused. I have all the car details Inc all documents and a receipt fromthe registered owner at his home. I’ve had the car nearly 3 months no problem. Until today I receiveda letter from the BIS Criminal Investigators (Department for Business and innovationand skills) who are wanting to know the circumstances of how I obtained thevehicle. I have telephoned the previous owner and he started cryingon the phone. He stated that he actually went bankrupt in April 2012, some 4months before I bought the car. He has stated that he told the Official Receiverthat he disposed of the car in NOVEMBER 2011 to a garage, which he has admittedto me, was a lie. He then admitted to trying to pull a fast one with thereceiver and begged me not to tell the investigator how or when I bought it,especially what I paid for it. He stated he would go to Jail. Im very worried now as to who is going to come knocking atmy door to take my only car away. I have 3 children under the age of 7 and it’s our only car.My wife uses the car everyday for work and her work employer has said if she losesher car she loses her job! I also can’t take my kids to nursery in my van! We had to take a £20,000 loan out to buy the car from afamily member, we’ve spent £4,000 on extras on it upgrading it and simply can’tafford to lose our money, not to mention buy another car. Come anybody please tell me what to do or what my optionsare? This is so confusing!
  24. Hi I am a little unclear on the rules around accounts and defaults. I have account which has been in dispute for a very long time with the credit company who kept passing the account from one DCA to another who then sent it back when I informed them of the dispute. Earlier this month the account was marked as satisfied with the credit reference agencies, and this week I received a letter from Lowell with the usual threatening tone. I have replied in the letter, and as well as stating that no debt is acknowledged I have also stated that no contract or agreement exists as I have received no notification from the original credit company. I have asked for a full list documents under CPR (they mentioned legal action so I took advantage). What I wanted to know is what right do Lowell now have about placing a default or even an account with the credit reference agencies since the original creditor has marked the account as satisfied. I have no agreement with Lowell and they have yet to produce a deed of assignment. If they place a default on the credit file, can I object to have it removed if there is no Deed Of Assignment?
  25. Hi I wonder if anyone could help My daughter was involved in a caravan fire (suspected arson) whilst working abroad this summer. She basically lost everything apart from the clothes she was standing in and her laptop and phone which were still one her lap when she woke up by the fire! She had travel insurance purchased through the company she worked for. A number of electrical items I had bought her over the last couple of years were lost (tablet, camera and ipod). I still have the the original emails sent from these companies when these items were purchased. I have printed these emails off but they are saying they want original receipts. I still have the boxes for two of the items and the only paperwork that came with them were paperwork for returns. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks
