  1. hi all A the beginning of july 2012 I wrote to santander cards related to 2 loans I had pay off with first national. The loans were made the 1st in 12/2001 with £ 33.99 per month with a time span of 48 months, this was to buy a PC from the extinct TINY computers. For this loan I remember like it was yesterday I was told I had to take the PPI otherwise I would not get the loan. I still have the initial letter they sent me with the detalis of payment and loan, but I did not mention any PPI, I know I bought the PC for £999 and the interest or was 26.9% or 29.6, but I am sure it had PPI. The 2nd loan of £500 made in 08/2002 also first national, of which I still have the original credit agreement where it clear shpws a £65 PPi premiun added to the loan, even I was never told or asked about it, you just presumed it belong to the loan. This loan also as been paid off. For my surprise on 18/07/2012 I got a a response from them saying that the older or the 1st loan they could see there was no PPI and oddly enough for the 2nd they say is too old and they do not have the file anymore, even after I sent them a copy of credit agreement. I can smell a rat miles away, 1st how come they saying the older file they can see is no PPI but the 2nd they cannot have it anymore , even though I sent them a copy of the credit agreement which clear shows the PPI policy? My question is what should I do? Sent a SAR to the data commissioner or what? Any help would be much appreciated! Many thanks in advance,
  2. Hi me again I managed to dig out all old paper work. And turns out the loan i had from 10 years ago was acually from First National. I had £20000 loan and they added £3270.46 Protection payment premium. The monthly APR is 8.750% then shows another rate of 10.9%. I paid this loan for 11 months then loan was paid back. Can anyone advise what sort of PPI reward i can claim back? and also has First National been taken over by GE Money and has anyone had any success with claiming from them? Thanks
  3. Hi i hope there is someone who can help me. The scenario is that i had a nat west loan and due to divorce ended up having to go to a debt managament company bad idea - yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing, the DMC sold me down the river by missing payment to the Nat West, who proceeded to get a CCJ and subsequently a charging order. I am trying to get this set aside. For over a year i have been trying to establish with Nat West the terms of the PPI, in a nut shell they have said: Loan Start Date: 13/09/200 Monthly Payment: £68.64 * 120 months = £8263.80 and this what they have offered as settlement, so my questions are: 1. Should this include interest at 8% 2. Is this suffient information to set aside the CCJ/Charging order on the basis that the amount claimed was incorrect. Any thoughts, pointers or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi, this is the first time I have posted and would really appreciate some advice. My name is Stuart and have two questions. I am looking to apply for ppi refunds but I require certain information to proceed which I haven;t got. 1. I took out a vehicle finance agreement in 1999 with first national. The vehicle cost around £9000 and the account has been settled for years. Although I no longer have the agreement I do have a bank statement with the date the first payment was made. I can't however find any details for First National and need to know how I contact them and will they still have these records? 2. I also had a small business account with HSBC from 1998-2004. They have recently agrreed to pay me ppi payment on the account, but I also had several credit cards through this account and I no longer have the card numbers to try to get a ppi refund on them also. I used them to run my business and paid them in full every month around £600-1000 a month. I believe they took ppi payments from these cards and need get the numbers to proceed. Will the bank provide this information. Thank you and any advice will be extremely appreciated
  5. The National Heritage List for England English Heritage has launched a searchable Heritage List for England, including listed buildings, scheduled monuments, registered parks and gardens, registered battlefields and protected wreck sites. It comes with a health warning as the data has come from a number of different systems and so may contain inconsistencies! It is also possible to nominate more. The list is on the internet here :- http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/ With thanks to SG Landscope
  6. I'm wondering whether anyone here knows this company? I have googled, unable to locate their company, however did find information regrettably from USA they maybe working for debt collectors! Today a man representing National Express Deliveries (this was embroidered on his jacket), asking whether an individual lived at this address (me)? As last week a parcel went to an address 10 doors away and obviously delivered to the wrong person. He then said he was in the area and his firm asked him to check the address details so the parcel could be delivered next week at a time convenient to me. Two worrying points really; 1. Who are these people 2. I am not waiting for a parcel delivery If someone has encountered a similar experience please share, and more importantly if you know what they are up to.
