  1. Hi, I have a small shop on ebay selling printed Hen t-shirts, babygrows, mugs etc but nothing big but slowly growing with great feedback. Since may this year I have been selling a 2 t-shirt set for newly weds with a design I made of my own after looking at reference material online. But my design was a fresh font and shape and wording. Also at the top of ebay searches which was something I had worked hard for. Now in September I suddenly get these listings removed. Another t-shirt company has claimed copyright violation. I checked the design and it is similar but I have different wording and shapes it just looks too different to accept. The company pointed out their design was registered. I managed to search online and find it but it said registered 10 September 2017, about a week before I was reported. I have been selling my design from may 2017. It also look like the their t-shirt is a new listing. I am suspicious I am being pushed out by a slightly bigger company. I emailed the company as recommended and they replied with the registered number and to not relist my it-shirts. I have since checked them out and emailed the above and asked when they started selling their deisgn but no reply as yet. Can anyone see that this may be corrupt. Thank You
  2. Hi, I've had a listing removed from eBay - apparently it was reported by Sky Media. There is no real reason as to why the item has been removed just that 'please not (sic) that this item is not allowed on our site.' and 'for more information read the help pages or contact Sky directly.' The item in question was a Now TV Sky Cinema pass - I bought another couple of Now TV boxes before Christmas and didn't need the passes. As far as I'm aware the listing was compliant with eBay rules - item to be posted via Royal Mail, so not a 'digitally delivered item' or 'non-physical goods'. I believe Now TV is a subsidiary company of Sky - but they don't own it directly? The link to contact Sky and for more information is: https://business.sky.com/fighting-fraud/ when you look at this it only mentions Sky Sports, about illegal use of Sky Sports programming and Unauthorised foreign broadcasts - nothing to do with what I was selling. I believe when listings are removed like this it is because the company concerned are a member of eBay VeRO - 'Verified Rights Owner' programme or something. I've read in the past that companies basically abuse this, eBay remove all listings that they report which could be for a multitude of reasons. On the list of VeRO members (UK is toward the bottom of the page) I can't see Sky listed http://vero.ebay.com/ I hate such bullying by large companies - I've spent a while on live chat to eBay but they are adamant that I need to contact Sky and that 'if Sky allow me to sell the item, I can pass the communication onto them'. They won't give me a copy of the report, a specific number to call for eBay listing removals - nothing. It feels very much like a big bully boy company (Sky) dictating an item can't be sold to another large multinational (eBay) who simply bow to them - no mistakes, no appeals etc. What can I do? Has anyone had this issue before? Please help.. Thanks in advance..
  3. Ebay has decided in its wisdom to allow a link through advert for Ocean Finance in every UK listing. In the name of making a small amount of money they have done something that will cause insult to every catholic and moslem customer by forcing each seller to display an advert for a company that under the doctrines held by both religious groups is promoting ursury and forbidden. As this covers more than half of the world's population I really hope they have thought this one through as I cant see the benefit of upsetting that many people and breaking the law in many countries from as near as Italy and as far away as Indonesia and South America. Well done thy good and faithful servant (Matt 25.21)
  4. Hi, just wanted some advice regarding a would-have-been purchase for me. I saw a listing on a national building centers website ( a section for trade members specifically ) for a deal on an in-store collection item which had a ladder for sale at £24.00 inc VAT however the ladder you would actually be given at the till is not the ladder that they list the specifications for online. as this would result in me making a trip to the store ( a 35 min drive ) to find out that the online page was not correct, where would I stand? I do hope this makes sense. Many thanks
  5. Has anyone had recent dealings with a company called Big Green Book? I paid for a directory listing last year on the basis that the fee would be repaid if I had no appropriate enquiries - the only 'enquiry' I received was a really strange phone call from someone at BGB saying he was phoning on behalf of a company who wanted to bring me their business. When I asked for the name of the company or a contact there, he became rather vague. I asked for an email to clarify the situation but, of course, it never materialised. And when I tried to contact BGB to find out what was going on no-one replied to me. A year on and needless to say they are not repaying my money and as no paperwork has ever materialised there is not much chance of seeing it again. What I am doing is reporting it to Action Fraud. A couple of colleagues in the same field (counselling) have come forward with similar stories. I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has had dealings with this company.
  6. Hey all Probably very basic advice needed - it regards a 'debt' to One Call Insurance. I took car insurance out with them. Communication was a pain in the a$$ but generally got sorted ok. They required my driving licence - I informed them I didn't have it as it was with the DVLA for renewal. They gave me six weeks grace. I didn't get it back in time so One Call cancelled my insurance (I have a letter from the DVLA apologising for losing my details), then served me with a bill for £212.09 - citing it as being the cancellation fee. Is this legal? How much can it cost to cancel? I didn't sign anything agreeing to a punitive cash amount so? Debt company Judgement Order Listing are in charge of the recovery of this ridiculous 'debt', and they're demanding I hand over the cash. Any advice about how to deal with it gratefully accepted
  7. Hi, bit of advice have issued them with a CCA request after Lloyds Sold them my debt. here is there response. Account is now in dispute? so I will send that and then what??
