  1. Hi, HSBC responded to SAR request as nothing on the system for 2003 - 2004. Then after I sent them a policy number for CRP PPI on closed credit card. We have an offer as Full and Final settlement of Miss Sold policy! Premiums total £150 Redress Total £460 inc premium. Does this look about right? Many Thanks
  2. HSBC now owns HFC Bank in Brighton. I wrote to HSBC Coventry PPI claims office giving my name, DOB and precise former address, last week, but they replied to say: no records of my account can be found after 32 years, and that they are not legally obliged to retain documents beyond the statutory period if an account was closed. I also opened a Loan Account in Bournemouth and fully repaid around 1983. -- same answer from HSBC: no records. I myself have retained no records whatsoever, but I am absolutely certain I had those accounts, and 70% sure there was PPI as was standard custom in those days. Is this a dead end? Should I invest in £10 requesting a SAR, if so SAR sent to HSBC Coventry or to HFC Bank in Brighton? Later to complain to FOS if we suspect HSBC does have records? Thanks to all for sharing experience.
  3. Mrs Echodale is being harranged by Cabot over HSBC credit card debt . HSBC agreed that if she made sixty payments of £xx then she could save £1800 and would not need to make any more payments after July 2018. She has honoured the agreement and made last payment as agreed. Cabot apparently bought the debt a few years ago and are chasing the £1800, they say they have contacted HSBC and have been advised that no such arrangement exists. We have the original Metropolitan/HSBC letter from 2013 and even though the onus is upon Cabot to 'prove it' we have sent them a copy. I think next step is to send a formal complaint to both organisations. Any advice welcome.
  4. Happy New Year to all! I have contacted HSBC using their online contact form about PPI that i took out with an old Marbles credit card. They have replied giving a credit card number and the start date, the also confirm PPI was paid. Reading other posts I see its best to start with a SAR request, can anyone advise the current address for making SAR requests or is it the standard complaints address : HSBC UK Bank plc, Complaints Department, POBox 5207, Coventry, CV3 8FB Thanks in advance
  5. I was in a relationship with a man who was both physically and emotionally abusive. He had used my bank account to commit fraud and HSBC held me liable for the debt from the fraud which is £9,566. I managed to find another place to move to and made sure I was virtually untraceable on social media and the internet. I never told the police about the abuse at the time for fear of him being arrested then released and onto me. However I did report the fraud to the police through Action Fraud and they replied a few months later saying that they cannot follow up on it as there is not enough evidence. Now HSBC are harassing me to pay back the debt, I'm a 22 year old student who cannot pay back such a large amount. Although I am terrified of him I tried to locate him so the police can find him yet he is nowhere to be found and I believe now that he had been using a fake identity whilst with me. HSBC have been immensely unhelpful, I have gone back and forth into branches and made numerous phone calls which have all been useless and I cannot take out debt relief management plans or file for bankruptcy because the debt is from fraud. They also filed a CIFAS flag marker against my name so I have to use an online bank now and will not be able to get jobs in many sectors when I finish uni, for 6 years. I opened a case with the Financial Ombudsman which is taking a long time but have been studying hundreds of their decisions on similar cases and they never rule in the favour of the victim/consumer, so I am not confident. What do I do?
  6. I am looking for some advice with respect to a PPI refund and compensation in connection with a former Endeaour loan. I had a compensation refund in 2015 which was based on premiums I had paid from 2002 - 2013. But I did not know if it had been calculated properly because although I had requested that the PPI be cancelled in 2013 all my loan account statements from Endeavour/HSBC and subsequently Sancopia Portfolio showed premium payments . I then spent 3 years trying to find out how HSBC reached their compensation figure and which premium payments were used for the calculation. Finally after escalating it to an FCA case I was sent the HSBC spreadsheet for the calculation which did not include any premiums from 2013 - 2015. HSBC say that the premiums from 2013 - 2015 were reversed and they have sent the FCA a screenshot form their internal systems which show that the premiums were reversed and refunded. FCA say they are satisfied that 8 of the 15 payments have been reversed. What I would advice on is whether this is correct if they are still showing on the loan account statement i.e if there is no corresponding reduction of the loan account to reflect these reversals. As a result of this long running issue, I have the internal HSBC PPI compensation spreadsheet with all formulas. I am more than happy it with the CAG if it can help others succeed with their claims. Advice would be much appreciated.
  7. Hello everyone I’m looking to get some help if possible please my partner recently applied to open a new HSBC bank account for the cash incentive via the online system. The account she applied for some reason was declined but then instantly offered a standard basic account instead which she accepted and the card and pin arrived a few days later. The following week another letter arrived in a large envelope again from hsbc this time stating they had now closed the account without warning or notice due to not meeting the banks criteria. Strange but ok fair enough she’s not wanted as a customer until she noticed it was hand signed by someone from the fraud analyst department Becoming very worried she contacted the bank who refused to tell her anything and was then advised to send a SAR request to HSBC bank and also CIFAS. Friday she received a letter from CIFAS with a Single CIFAS FRAUD listing from HSBC BANK under the heading APPLICATION FRAUD that she did not list a previous address with adverse history APPLICATION GRANTED This is absolutely disgusting she’s done nothing wrong currently been living in the same house since June 2014 so we’ll over 4 years now. HSBC application page clearly asks for 3 years address history which she’s obviously listed her current address so nothing makes sense at all. She’s sent the HSBC ceo a email who’s replied today with this ( I can understand your frustration in that we ask for any addresses in the last three years and you moved four years ago, so shouldn't have to supply another address. However, we had information there was adverse credit data accrued in your name at a different address within the last three years. I'm very sorry for any confusion caused but we have correctly followed our process. We also correctly reported the instance to CIFAS, as we have an obligation to do. I'm understand this may not be the outcome you were looking for but I hope this has helped to explain our position. If you feel the information we had was incorrect, you may want to check with the Credit Reference Agencies. We use three agencies, Experian, Equifax and Call Credit. ) We are both extremely upset and worried about this issue as she’s done absolutely nothing wrong and is now obviously petrified that all her other financial dealings with other banks etc will see this and close everything down. What do you suggest we now do and has anyone else had issues like this previously that could advise we would be very grateful
  8. Hi, I am looking for some concrete advice please on where I stand with a debt that's hanging over me. The debt is for around £9k and was originally a HSBC credit card. I received a CCJ toward the end of 2013, along with a Charging Order against my property, which I unfortunately didn't contest. As I am self-employed and have children, there has been no enforcement action that the courts would take against me, so I have never paid anything toward the debt, or acknowledge it. HSBC gave up earlier this year and have sold the debt to Cabot. I have read a number of threads on this forum and others which contain a lot of conflicting information. So I guess my questions are: 1. Can I get the Charging Order removed on the basis HSBC no longer have an interested in the debt, or have Cabot effectively taken ownership of both? 2. Am I right in thinking Cabot have no enforcement options whatsoever unless they get the CCJ and CO re-assigned officially in the court? 3. Will Cabot likely affect a low F&F settlement to see the back of this debt, or do they usually hang on for the long run? 4. I believe there are probably at least 1-2k worth of charges and interest added to this credit card, can I pursue HSBC for them, and if they are awarded, can HSBC withhold it against the original debt? Thanks in advance. JD
  9. HSBC UK have not complied with my Data Subject Access Request (SAR), submitted under the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The DSAR was requested on 16/06/2018 and should have been disclosed by 17/07/2018. 16/06/2018 - Request sent to HSBC UK for DSAR under new GDPR 18/06/2018 - Acknowledgement email received from HSBC UK Customer Care Team 22/06/2018 - Acknowledgement letter received from HSBC UK Data Protection Office 17/07/2018 - Data not received, so contacted HSBC UK who stated that they were not aware of this request and have not even started to gather data for the disclosure 17/07/2018 - Internal complaint made to HSBC UK Customer Complaints Team 18/07/2018 - Complaint made to Data Protection Office and Letter Before Action sent to HSBC UK. Telephoned Data Protection Office and confirmed that they have received both email and LBA. When asked for timescales in relation to compliance for my DSAR, a team manager has advised they don't know and cannot give any timescales. I have made them aware I will be reporting the non-compliance to the ICO, but they didn't seem at all bothered. 18/07/2018 - Information Compliant Handling Form submitted to ICO 18/07/2018 - Complaint acknowledgement received from ICO Next steps: Now waiting for the Data Protection Office to make contact with me to progress DSAR and also waiting for HSBC UK complaints team to pick up the complaint. No doubt this will be towards the end of the 8 FCA timescales! Also, waiting to see if HSBC UK will comply within the 5 working days afforded to them in my LBA. I very much doubt they will, due to the large amount of data they will need to gather, redact and securely send on to me. Will potentially need to look at submission of a POC for a County Court claim if not. Submitting a GDPR POC is unchartered territory for me, so if it comes to that point, could really do with some help. Hints/Tips: Some may already be aware of this, but I was not. None of the calls received at the HSBC UK Data Protection Office are recorded. So when I asked for copies of all recordings to their department, they advised me of the above. Also, HSBC UK Data Protection Office don't advertise or easily give up there email address. So if you do need to email that team, you can do so here [email protected]. It definitely works, as I have emailed them my LBA and complaint letter and they have received it the next day.
  10. Hi all, I'm planning to send a SAR to HSBC on behalf of a friend who holds a credit card, a current account, a savings account and a loan account with them. My friend lives in Jersey, where all dealings with HSBC have been conducted. Can anyone please confirm if a single SAR is sufficient to cover all of the above accounts and the correct address to which it should be forwarded, given the location being Jersey and I am unsure whether or not banks fall under the same legal jurisdiction and share the same administration offices as do those in the UK, or are classed as separate entities? Thanks in advance.
  11. Hi, I have accumulated some relatively large charges from HSBC Business over the last few years, mainly for unauthorised overdrafts. Is it possible to have any of these refunded? I am in quite a bit of financial difficulty at the minute. I dont have any lending on this business account. I would also like to keep the account open, so dont want to do anything to harm that if possible. Thanks for reading! Jamie
  12. Feeling like I could do with some advice please. I have had 2 PPI's that HSBC have agreed to pay out on. I sent all the forms back on 16th Feb and was told that the offers were sent out to me that week. Nearly 7 weeks on and I have still had nothing in the post. I have been chasing weekly and have been promised calls back on 8 occasions. Can someone give me a direct email address of the head of complaints who deal with PPI at HSBC? With a husband who has been out of work for 8 months, this PPI payouts really will ease things for us and was hoping that they would have been in out account by the end of March. Any advice I'd be so very grateful for. Thanks in advance.
  13. hello there I received the following from idem Sorry for not naming my attachment , I am new to this technology. Are these documents enforceable? Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. convert-jpg-to-pdf.net_2018-03-05_13-25-40.pdf
  14. Hi- I had an HSBC credit card from 1998 to 2011. I read in other posts that people who opened a credit card this period had PPI on it I was able to find some statements from as far back as 2004 but I can't see any reference to PPI on them. Would that be included in the interest charge ? Should there be a separate charge for PPI? Is there anything else to look for on the statement that indicates PPI? Any advise would be appreciated. - Andy
  15. Hi all, I've got an SAR back from HSBC today. The last payment I physically made on this account (Loan) was on 28th June 2010 (a long time after it had defaulted). However I made a PPI reclaim on it which was credited to the outstanding balance on 16th June 2016. On the SAR this is listed as a payment from debtor. Would this have reset the statute barred clock, even though this payment was made without my consent? (Outstanding balance is now £1950) Also they haven't been actively chasing it, I only received a letter on the date the PPI reclaim went through asking me to call them. Since then there have been no letters. They also do not have my current address. Should I update them?
  16. Hi Guys, I am new to website. But i have really big problem with hsbc. let me explain. I have small property investment business. Due to this when we pay some of builders they take out money without my authority each time i have to cancel my card and bank sent new one this things happen 7 to 8 times we told number of time banks about this and finally came to point when we thought its best to close a/c and all matters. At that time i have one credit card, bank a/c and personal loan on my name. Bank has closed current a/c and credit card straight way but loan they told me if i can not afford to pay they will keep open as it is and i have to keep paying them monthly arrangement. i have setup arrangement with them by direct debit and till date everything upto date i did not miss any payment. During december time my father passed away and i have to go out side country, during this period hsbc suddenly decided to close my loan a/c they sent out letter which i was not aware. After few days later another letter came for default notice and final demand. I came back last week and i have seen these letters. I been told by HSBC staff not to worry and they will sort out everything . I been given collection number which i called number of time but they have given one answer as my loan account is active and its up to date. Letter i received from hsbc clearly confirmed they will pass my details to credit reference agency and it will affect my credit rating. I have made full payment to HSBC but they refused to do anything. I have explained them as i was out side country and i did not received any phone call but they did not listen. As well they have notes on system march 2017 confirming person previously dealing in back office (customer relations manager) place note confirming account keep open and customer will maintain monthly payment as agreed when opened loan account. HSBC in march 2017 told me they will keep my loan a/c opened as far as i will keep paying my instalment but in december they have decided to close my a/c. Branch even give me wrong information as they told me nothing to worry my a/c is up to date and no action required. I really need serious help as my business on credit and if something goes against my credit file it will be end of my business. I need serious help as bank not helping me out at all neither branch already made complain to bank but i am not hoping any good response.
  17. Hi all, I was clearing out some paperwork today and found some old statements from an HSBC Credit card from 2004 - 2005. I was shocked to see some pretty massive payment protection payments every month, up to £70 in some months. I know that I had this credit card for many years, before and after this period, so I could have paid thousands in insurance. I genuinely don't remember if I paid this card off or not, I can't find any DCA letters chasing it up. Even if I didn't the debt would be long since statute barred. Last payment would have been made around 2007 ish. With a card this old, how would I go about kicking a PPI claim off? Also if I still owe the balance would HSBC simply be able to take the balance and pay it off against the loan?
  18. Hi, Hoping someone might know where I stand on this but I have a feeling I won't have a leg to stand on. Here goes my situation, Discovered today my account was over its overdraft by £471. In a complete panic I rushed to the bank to get a statement only to discover over 100 transactions from Amazon in the last 2 days. Turned out my 13 year old son had used my card and proceeded to use it for in app purchases. I have phoned hsbc to see how I stand on this they state that unless I get the police involved there is nothing they can do (which obviously I don't want to do as he has never done anything like this before and I really don't think he realised how much he had spent) that is fair enough I asked how they allowed my account to go so far over my overdraft, which is £1000, and continue to allow more and more transactions to go out. The reply I got you have to involve the police if you want it sorted. What annoys me most is that a few months ago I tried to make a transaction which would have taken me over my overdraft by about £15 (unwittingly) but was declined how or why on earth did they allow it to reach that limit and sting me with charges which they refuse to withdraw. I have a pretty poor credit rating so it would be considered irresponsible lending surely. Any ideas where to turn next ? TIA Gem77 P.s. Yes my son has had a very stern talking to and being punished accordingly.
  19. Posting on behalf of my partner who has experienced an issue with unauthorised transactions on her HSBC current account. Between the 10th November and the 13th several transactions were made at a local coop supermarket to buy goods and get cashback as well as one ATM withdrawal of £130. Upon discovering the transactions had been made my partner immediately contacted HSBC and reported the card as stolen and went through their fraud process aswell as reporting the theft to both Action Fraud and our local police. Now, I was under the impression that the FCA guidelines stated that HSBC should refund the transactions my partner has raised yet they refused to do so "pending an investigation" Also as these transactions pushed her into an unauthorised overdraft she is STILL being charged a daily fee which HSBC refuse to freeze. Yesterday my partner received a phone call from the HSBC fraud department stating the case was closed and they were finding her liable as the card was present at the time of these transactions and her correct pin had been used. I fail to see how this can be the case as at the time of these transactions we were hundreds of miles away from where they were carried out and my partner can prove this as she made a payment using apple pay in a store 300 miles away around the same time that there was an ATM withdrawal! I have spoken to the bank on her behalf this morning as she is a vulnerable adult with learning difficulties to be told that all HSBC can do now is lodge an appeal against the fraud teams decision which can take anything between 6 & 8 weeks. What is my best course of action to at least get the overdraft fees waived or frozen as I have now given up the hope the bank would have a soul and realise this is a genuine case of fraud against a woman who is suffering serious mental anguish aswell as financial hardship due to their frankly callous and uncaring attitude. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!
  20. Hello All, I have received a letter telling me an old HSBC Credit Card was sold to Cabot Financial today and that they would be in touch shortly. The account is not statue barred. Whilst I am happy to enter into a repayment plan, I want to make sure that they have all their ducks lined up and have all the correct paperwork. I originally had a dispute with HSBC after they blocked the card on Christmas Eve and that very nearly left me stranded Birmingham Airport over the Christmas Period. At the time there were plenty of funds available on the card and it was the only card I had on my person at the time. Long story short I phoned them on the day asking why the card was not working and noone could explain it to me either. I was promised several callbacks which they never made and a resolution the same day which also did not materialise. As I couldn't buy the train ticket I needed, I had to take several buses to my Christmas destination which in all took over 10 hours to complete a 60 mile journey.......... As I hold an ENCTS pass this journey cost me nothing but did cause considerable inconvenience at the time. I made a complaint at the time and whilst they acknowledged the complaint, they did not respond and when it came to them wanting something (i.e. to pay the bill) I refused until the complaint was resolved to my satisfaction. Apparently they had nothing on file and still did not know the reason for the failure of the card. This contradicted what I was told on the day of the failure which was "A Back office team is working hard on this as we speak and it will be resolved shortly" which now appears to be from my perspective a complete lie. Fast forward to the issue at hand now, I received a letter that the account has been sold to Cabot Financial and that I will begin a game of letter tennis within the coming days. How is it best to proceed from here. I don't particularly want to furnish Crapbot with too much information. But I'm happy to do my homework and see what happens. Debt is for a Credit Card approx £1,800 I don't doubt for a second that Crapbot will take legal action eventually but I'd rather give them notice as it were that I know how to handle this matter. I'm thinking just a bog standard CCA Request uncrossed postal order and see what they come back with? Perhaps a SAR to HSBC as well?
  21. Hi, I have read through a number of posts but only managed to confuse myself more, so thought i'd better just post. I have an old HSBC Current Account that I think was sold on in around 2000/2001 (memory a little hazy) to a DCA (but I cannot remember which one) and I paid them £1 a month. Around 2013 Cabot bought the debt and I continued to pay £1 a month. This was a joint account which they refused to acknowledge, said it was only in my name and they had no record of my partner on the debt - great! So fast forward to today. I stopped paying them in July this year, completely forgot as was paying by postal order - my own fault, and have since received the following letters: 05/10/2017 "Welcome to Cabot Credit Management Group that own your HSBC Bank Current Account. We have recently confirmed you are living at the above address and need to make you aware that we are now responsible for helping you manage your account and receiving future payments" Then a bit about contacting them etc. 22/10/2017 "We have recently confirmed that you are living at the above address. We do this through a variety of checks, so we're confident we have the correct address for you. We need to talk to you to arrange a repayment plan on your account; we can help you find an affordable solution. 06/11/2017 A bit about understanding how it's difficult to clear debt, we want to help etc then "We own your account and are prepared to reduce the balance in order to help you become free of this debt sooner. If you would like to take up this offer call us" I have a couple of questions: I have looked at other forum messages advising sending a CCA but I don't think this would apply to me as its a current account - is that correct? What would be the route for me to follow if I can't go down the CCA road? I've seen some info on pre 2007 agreements - does this have any bearing on my case? Can Cabot put the debt back on my credit file as a default, as i've stopped paying, even though its over 6 years old? I'm sorry for the long post and thank you very much for reading
  22. Hello, I was recommended to post on this site and time is also not on my side! I appreciate any input and advice, thank you a) I went insolvent in September - since the date, I went to the HSBC branch with my wife to remove my name from the joint account and sign over responsibility to my wife as a sole account holder (including overdraft £900 and joint consolidation loan £326p/m on 18k). She did IE sheets and was telephoned across, approved, and we signed. The joint loan was part of my bankruptcy I understood it that my wife would take responsibility of that, hence going to branch and doing this. b) Since then, she was issued a final demand notice out of the blue, claiming default on arrears (there are no arrears, never have been) and 18 days to settle balance in full (£18k). No mention of any BR, just a final demand which is inaccurate in it's detail for the reasoning - and as it transpires, resolving it. c) 3 days of calls, and about 5 hours of speaking and on hold between departments because nobody seemed to know what was going on, we were told by the Financial Guidance Team to do nothing, let it ride out as they needed to charge off the account because of my bankruptcy - they'd even refund the latest payment which was automatically made after this demand letter. But doing this, of course would result in a default marker for my wife. and the recovery department would be in touch to collect the debt. Not knowing who to believe, I was passed to the 'insolvency team' who told us that my wife must get back in touch with the Financial Guidance Team, do a I/E and set up a repayment agreement BEFORE the 18 days. Needing clarity, and being frustrated at being told different things between departments (as well as being emotionally crushed, not to mention the psychological damage of listening to that HSBC hold music), we went to branch to have someone work with us to resolve. She made a call to the department on the final demand letter, who also said - get in touch with the Financial Guidance Team to do an I/E and set up a payment plan, if she does that then the default will not be passed to the CRAs. She put us in a room to make a call to the Financial Guidance Team, but then the whole fiasco started again... d) The Financial Guidance Team are adamant that they will not allow a payment plan. One guy we dealt with even went through a I/E with my wife but then came back after speaking to his manager, sorry, actually, that this isn't possible. I have spoken to the Manager who also insisted that it simply is not possible to set up a plan because of my bankruptcy, the account needs to be charged off. Period. I have argued that this goes against the terms of the loan in that she has not had the opportunity (actually denied!) to resolve this and she is being forced into default unfairly. The original contract has a clause about calling in the loan if bankruptcy happens to any party, but there is a line also that states that such action won't happen without notice and an opportunity to resolve, which is what I believe is being blatantly breached here. The manager raised a complaint for me - I have the reference number and intend to follow this up with my version not knowing what the complaint that he has raised references. Even after I spoke to the manager (who I suspected had either got this very wrong or has is own agenda), I asked to get put through again to the insolvency team again, who again stated the same - 'speak to the Financial Guidance Team' and get it sorted before the 18-days! Stalemate. My final call with the Financial Guidance Team yesterday, I spoke to a very nice woman who looked into everything and took it upon herself to speak between departments, not me, and get back to me. Her news: anyone who has told me that you could set up a payment plan is incorrect and has probably not understood that the final demand was generated because of my insolvency (even though the final demand says nothing of the sort - it even gives a reason it has been sent which is due to previous notice of arrears [not true]).. . the insolvency team I was repeatedly passed to was the 'wrong one' based in India, not in Birmingham... and apologies for the mix up but 100% we cannot set up a payment plan, the account needs to be charged off and your wife will have to speak to the recoveries people after. e) So what now!!? For our efforts, we are totally unable to resolve this through a payment plan, it's 18K or default. I have a complain reference number. They say that expect about 4 weeks for a reply to the complaint but maybe up to 8. I understand that I cannot do anything with the Financial Ombudsman until I have a reply (or 8 weeks). To recap - my issue is that my wife is being forced unfairly into default with every effort and the ability to repay with amounts of the original agreement. a black mark on her credit reference with a default. Plus, we have no idea even if there is no escape from this situation, what demands will be placed by the recovery department (i.e. currently the loan is 60 months at £326 p/m). But then, if my wife has a black mark anyway, what options are there for her to make a reduced offer or anything of that nature? We're in territory that we didn't expect and don't really understand. Perhaps naively, we expected the burden of the joint loan to simply fall on my wife, not being called in with a £18k demand. I'm also unsure what to do in the interim - if I'm raising a complaint, do we get any period of grace here - do we commit to whatever collections dept gets in touch after, or hold them off? Any help is very very very appreciated - our 18 days is up on 3rd Nov, and we've wasted a week speaking to them on the phone and getting absolutely nowhere! Thank you
  23. Afternoon All, I wonder if anyone could offer any advice with my partners issues he is having. He had a credit card with Hsbc that defaulted over 6 1/2 years. He continued to make a number of payments until he got into severe financial difficulty. The default dropped off the CRA reports in February this year He was then notified in June that Hsbc had sold the debt to Cabot Cabot are demanding monies, which we don't have, saying if we do not pay then as they brought the debt they will take him to court, default him again and inform the CRA. There have been a number of people telling him different things about what to do and who/how it can be enforced, however after googling this forum seems to be the best place for common sense. He is at such a low I really need to nip this in the bud if I can. Thanks Bee
  24. absolute newbie! Please help! have received a letter from Arrow Global headed "NOTICE OF ACCOUNT TRANSFER TO NEW AGENCY" dated the early August 2017. it states the original agreement HSBC - overdraft/original agreement date year 2000/transfer date to Arrow Global Jan 2016/ outstanding amount owed to Arrow Global 11k+ and advise I need to direct all enquiries to Restons Solicitors. Letter 2 from Restons dated 18th Aug 2017 Re: Arrow Global Ltd v Yourself. Saying hey act for them and they have reffered your account o us for legal action., together with an financial statement form. Letter 3 dated late Aug 2017 from Restons now saying they have been instructed by Arrow Global to seek payment and advising I have been notified of their clients acquisition of rights to this account. Then further that failure to contact them by the 12th Sept 2017 may include the issue of a county court claim. The so called debt information is incorrect. Banking facilities were withdrawn by HSBC 2014. This debt went first to moorcrap and I think another before Arrow. what should I do next please
  25. Many years ago, around 1996, I became a director of a LTD company owned by my ex partner. We had an agreed £20k overdraft on our HSBC (originally Midland) business account which ran until around 2011 when HSBC called us in and said that we could no longer have the overdraft and that we would have to transfer the £20k to a Managed Business Loan. I jointly signed the loan with my ex partner. Some time after this and without my knowledge, my ex partner removed me as a director. Please can anyone advise me: 1. Am I responsible for the loan which I believe is still outstanding, even though I'm no longer a director? 2. Can I make a claim for any PPI that may have been paid on the overdraft and managed loan? Thank you
