About Me

  1. Hi everybody, I received an address verification letter from Wetcot today, I did a bit of searching and landed here. I've read a few of the threads and it's very interesting stuff with lots of info so I will be sticking around. Good to be on board!
  2. Just want to say hello, I've read most of the stickies so I won't be asking any questions on this bit of the forum
  3. Hi there, I am new here, just joined. Thought I would say hello and thanks for all the great work you are doing here. I have quite a unique situation so am hoping someone may be able to help me? I will now go and find the right forum to post my question in....thanks
  4. Hi everyone. Its been a while since i came on here so I just thought I'd reintroduce myself so that you know I dont just take all of your help and advice for granted. I have been out of debt now for a number of years and my credit rating is pretty decent...but that could all change shortly the reason for which will become apparent when I start the relevant thread. So here I am thanks for listening and I hope someone will be able to point me in the right direction to solve this little problem I now have.
  5. I have been reading this for a while and thought it was about time I joined so hello everyone and thanks for having me
  6. Hi. This morning I received a letter fr5om bpo collections stating they have been instructed by MMF to collect an out standing debt and all the usual spiel. However I had never heard of MMF or bpo until this morning even though the letter says both had previously made contact with me. Also, from what I gather from reading threads here, MMF is a collection agency that collects pay day loans? If this is true, I have never had a payday loan in my life. I refuse point blank to get one, and even if I tried to get a payday loan I doubt I'd get one due to my very poor credit rating an
  7. Desparately need help ....but hello everyone! W
  8. Never been on a forum before. not sure how they work. Trying to find a consumer action group but cannot find it on google someone told me to find it! Not on Tweeter or Facebook and feeling a bit lost. Any ideas where I should look? Now got to see how to make this a thread
  9. I'm after some opinions on whether I should appeal to POPLA - my appeal against an unfair parking ticket has been refused. I parked for 5 days at Hull ferry port and on the 2nd day a ticket was issued. The pay and display ticket I had displayed had been blown onto its side on the dashboard and so couldn't be read. My argument is that: 1. it must have been displayed initially or else I would have received the ticket the day before (and I checked when I left the vehicle that it was on display). 2. The paper it was printed on was really light but there

  13. Hello all, I would just like to say hello to everyone as I have just registered on your TCAG forums site. I found you while searching for the dreaded Concilia debt stalkers. Hope yo be in and about popping into ongoing topics. See you all around.. Mariax:wink:

  15. Hi All, I have just registered (although I have looked through the various posts several times in the past which have helped me solve other questions so far). I am looking for advice on how to claim money back from a bailiff (original court fine was £200, bailiffs insitsted on £1045) and can't find a post that is close enough to my case to take the advice from, where would be best to ask for advice on this please? Many thanks

  17. Hi folks, Finally taken the plunge & opened an account here. I think it's the only account that's not been closed on me, lol. Will continue to have a look around & see where to start posting my story as I'm just at the stage of thinking about tidying things up a little after ignoring them for 5+ years. My first thread will be about the 6-year-rule. Do I head to the Debt Forum?

  21. Hi everyone, Just wanted to say its refreshing to see a website working for the benefit of the average Joe rather than trying to take advantage of him. I am debating using the small claims system to obtain redress from a builder and will be trying out the forums later today. Derek

  23. Hello to everyone here. I have been lurking for a while, but finally decided to take my head out of the sand and sort my life out! I have almost £40k worth of debt, all in default and on top of this I have a together mortgage for £180,000 on a house now worth less than £140,000. Have been considering bankruptcy and iva but after my career going pear shaped a few years ago, I have now started out on my own. Some weeks I have good money, some weeks none but it is the only way I know is to work my way out of the hole. I have signed up to a free credit report trial
