  1. Just thought I would wish everyone a happy weekend, the sun is almost shining and its slightly warmer, happy days:-D
  2. Hi I paid for my wfe's car insuarance with QuoteMeHappy on 10th Dec 2012 by my Barclays Debit card and the money has been taken from my account on 11th Dec 2012. We received an email from QMH on 22nd Mar 2013 saying that the payment has not been made. We checked with Barclays and they've given the authorisation code for the transaction. Even after sending my bank statment to prove that the money has been taken out and the authorisation code to support, QMH has been replying saying that the transaction has been cancelled. Since the insurance is an online company there are no customer support telephone number. The only way to communicate to them is via email. Any help to solve this issue is much appreciated. Thanks Subi
  3. Can anyone advise please? I changed my home insurance from company A to company B (swinton) in December 2012. As the renewal had come up from company A, I decided to look for a better quote and came up with company B. Filled in forms gave them bank details and had policy at hand before old policy ended. There was 2 weeks between one and the other ending and starting. In those last 2 weeks we had a broken window and had to claim off policy A although it was due to end soon after .Remember I had already filled in all the details with B and disclosed all there was at that time. At renewal time with policy B I would have had to disclose the latest claim with policy A. Started with policy B and all was well until I had to make a claim this week. They said as I had not disclosed my last claim to them with policy A, they would not be able to pay out. I feel this is unfair as I had already disclosed all to them at the time I took out the policy and did not realise I would have to until renewal. I am not happy in the least about this. I hid nothing from them at the time of taking out the policy. Has anyone any advice please?
  4. Keep living, keep fighting and just don't let anyone try to bring you down. You are unique and loved even if you don't think it. xxx
  5. On Friday I found I had run out of my hearing aid batteries. Thought I had another pack, but didn't. I normally buy them off the web and always buy Duracell. They usually come with 2-3 years before expiry left. As I had none, I went to town and the only place I could find any was a market trader. Got the correct ones and came home. I noticed a price sticker over the expiry date and peeled it off to find the batteries are over 6 months out of date already! We are talking just £4 here, but considering I normally pay £2 a pack and they have 2-3 years left, you will see why I am less than happy. My question is this. Am I entitled to take them back and demand a refund? I have obviously used one battery, but have put it back in the pack. I have no doubt whatsoever that the price was deliberately put over the expiry date which is pretty naughty. Where do I stand on these?
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSUS!! Have a brilliant day and enjoy your Diamond Jubilee ;-) Tills xxxxx
  7. Now, this may or may not belong in here, I don't know, but I have, for the past 13 years, been battling against the DVLA and their medical board for an LGV cat C Provisional licence. I have made at least 3 applications in the past, and each one has been turned down, due to a heart condition I have, Long QT Syndrome. According to their guidelines, LQTS falls within a group of conditions that give sufferers a slim chance of holding a car licence, and an absolutely no chance of holding a group 2 licence, whatsoever. But, on 8th June, my LGV Cat C Provisional was issued, after a year of investigations, tests etc, thorough examining of my records, to prove that I am assymptomatic, and there is no reason as to why I shouldn't hold the entitlement. I feel over the moon, this is something I have wanted to be able to do for ages, and it honestly feels like I have beaten the system... So now I just need to find out why they backdated the entitlement to Aug 1999, when I 1st applied.... Just to add, 3 days after sending off my application last year, I had a heart attack, and thought that was going to be the end of my 'dream'. So, not a complaint, but with all the negativity regards the DVLA, I thought I'd post my own personal victory against them on here...
