  3. Hello all Caggers. I have not posted on here for a while, but tend to look around from time to time. As most of you will already know there is currently a payout going on with the mess with switching claimants from incapacity benefit to ESA. We filled in the long winded form and sent it back to DWP in December. Around a week ago, we received the B16 form to fill in and send back. When did the DWP start counting their partners earnings and adding ESA to the combined income of the household? I seem to remember in the not to distant past, my partner who was on Invalidi

  5. Hi Guys, I had a Mr Lender loan a good while back, for only £184. I believe it was nearly statue barred. 6. My son visits a local car park to pick up a manager of a local business adjacent to the car park, takes her to Bookers Cash & Carry and then brings her back to the same car park with the few items she has purchased for the business. The car park backs on to the rear entrance of her business and there is an HX Car Parking notice there which says it is OK to stay for up to 10 mins without a requirement to pay for a ticket. After one of these occasions he received a parking charge notice from HX accompanied by a photo of his car entering the car park on his first vist and anoth

  9. Hello I could use some help - On 1 January 2018 I visited Margate and paid and parked in the town. Having finished the visit it was becoming dark and I was driving back towards Ramsgate when the satellite navigation system on my phone jammed. I pulled off the road into an empty car park (the Lido) which looked closed and run down, to attend safely to the satellite system on the mobile phone. when I had gotten the navigation system working again I tried to find my way back onto the main road again. There are a number of posts missing from the side of the car park which le

  11. I graduated back in 2002. I know after that, the Student Loans Company sent me deferment forms which were filled in and accepted. Erudio took these over years ago and I have never received any deferment forms from them, or any way of doing so. I've made no payments or, as far as I'm aware, acknowledged anything with them. The other day, 3 brown envelopes arrived from Northampton. Opened one and it was a County Court business centre claim form for £2400ish against me from Erudio / Drydens. (Letters from Drymens telling me that I would receive court papers arrived a few days later).
  12. On 9.12.17 I parked on Lidl in Newcastle Under Lyme and left the car park for half an hour to find out what we needed for a community event and went back to do the shopping for it. Before I had opened the boot to get the shopping bags out the car park guy appeared, ended up getting really aggressive and slapped a ticket on my windscreen. I wrote to them on 13th December No reply but threatening letter in Feb which I responded to saying that I had written to them in December. The letter complained about the persons intimidating behaviour and offered to pay them £20, as that was all I
  13. Hello, Please can you help? Since July 2018 I have Marstons chasing a debt for Severn Trent which I was unaware of until they sent me a hand delivered letter, informing me they had a high court writ. I promptly filed a N224 form to Apply to stay the writ and Set Aside the judgment. However, I misread the instructions prior to the hearing and took my defence statement to the September hearing and presented it to the judge, the application was dismissed as I had not filed the defence statement prior to the hearing. The following day I applied again for a Apply to stay t

  17. Hello, I was sent a Claim Form with the Claimant as Cabot Financial, I was wondering if "the particulars of claim" had to legally contain more specific information than has been put on this form?
  18. I wonder if anyone can help me regarding a claim form my daughter in law has received from Shoosmiths, regarding an overdraft from HSBC bank. She has sketchy information and is suffering with cancer so difficult to find out too much regarding past details. I know she had a £5000 overdraft on her cleaning business about 7 years ago. The debt was passed to Arrow Global in 2012 (this information is from Experian) and the sum owing says £5500. On the claim form it says the debt was assigned to Arrow Global in 2016 and the debt is for £6000 plus £600 for court costs. I didn't think the
  19. Hi, I am new too. I have found this thread very interesting. My daughter parked in a car park of a housing association. She did not see a car parking notice and thought she would be ok for a short while as there were only 3 cars parked in there. On her return she had received a parking ticket from Vehicle Control Services, Sheffield. She stated that it did not even look real and so ignored it. She then had a letter requesting payment which she stated looked 'fake' and ignored it again and again. She would have paid the £60 fine if she thought it was legitimate.
  20. Hi All , I was a bit silly and took some low value items from 2 stores and M&S yesterday. I was stopped on high street and asked to return to M&S, where they made me sign a Notice of Civil Recovery and Trespass and told to buy the products or they'd call Police. I wanted to know if M&S representation stated in the document as: Drydensfairfax, was one of these RLP companies ? Should I expect letters from? If so just ignore them? As far as I'm concerned I paid them back for what i wrongly took, and they let me go. They said they would notify the other 2 companies tha
  21. Cabot purchased a debt, the original debt was either m&s credit card or tesco credit card,i think. I have ignored all letters. I suspect its almost (if not) statute barred by now. (need to dig out files to check this) I now have received a letter before claim and reply form, from Cabots solicitors, mortimer cooke. Not sure whether to reply, is it bonafide? a scare tactic, or will no response get me a ccj? Any guidance will be very appreciated.
  22. Hi all, Have utilised many a thread from these sites over the years with great success. Quick summary: Usual residential gated car park, management company bought in PPC - I actually from told the management company from the get go that I did not want my bay covered by the scheme because I knew the calibre of companies they would use and being a gated car park with fobs to get in, it doesn't happen that often and if someone was to park in my space although a tad inconvenient my world would not end. My management company actually agreed to this, not before however I had received a

  25. Hi I hope you are all well. I have recently received a county court claim from VCS. It was for parking on the premises shared by a few different businesses. I went to the gym that evening and had to park a bit further out, not realising that there were boundaries set for the different businesses on the premises. The signage looks exactly the same unless scrutinised up close. I cam out out of the gym and found a ticket stuck to my window. I queried it with the staff at the gym a few days later and they said there was nothing that they could do. Lots of t
