  1. I have just received a "PARKING CHARGE NOTICE" from this company asking for £50 to be paid for "Causing Obstruction" in the car park of the hospital where I work. I have not seen a PCN stuck to my car, but there had been a hand written note affixed to my windscreen by someone who found it difficult to pull her/his car out. I have had PCN's issued a few times by such private companies in the last ten years, and I've only ever paid the ones issued by the local council. The others have sent various forms of threats and then gone quiet. How often do F1RST PARKING take people to court? And what's the current law on this?
  2. Hi, It's been a while since I've been on these forums, I used to give advice but I don't know how much has changed in the last few years. My girlfriend today got a "Parking Charge Notice". "Reason(s) for issue: Restricted Area". She parked over yellow crosshatches (aka graffiti). She has a permit but there were no spaces. University website advises people to follow the instructions on the "Parking Charge Notice". "Amount due: GBP 60.00". (30.00 if within 14 days). I know she should do nothing and wait for the NTD comes through, which they have 28 days to send. How enforceable is this? Have they ever taken anyone to court?
  3. Hey I recently parked in my university car park and then a week or two later i received an 'important notice to registered keeper, parking charge of £40' ive parked here without paying a few times so far so i will probably receive 2 more letters. Also last year i parked here all the time but did not receive parking charges, looks like the cameras have started working now. Should i pay them or not Received parking charge by F1RST PARKING.
