  1. The last few months I have been receiving numerous letters from a company called LCS demanding £24.65 + £5 admin charge on behalf of their client E-on for an alleged bill in June 2016 when I switched to a different supplier. I have contacted them by email many times for them to prove who they are & how the debt was incurred. LCS have now sent me E-on bill printouts & are now demanding £99.65 for an 'estimated bill'. As far as I'm concerned I do not owe any money. E-on have been very unhelpful. Any assistance please?
  2. Hiya, we moved into our current rented property in October 2015 and were told that Spark energy are the gas and electric suppliers. Ever since then they have sent us a monthly bill of which we've always paid. This morning we received a bill for 315.64 for electric and gas, 288 of that just electric, upon ringing them up we were told it's because all our previous bills were estimated and we should have been giving monthly meter readings (of which we were NEVER told) and that we have to pay that plus any future bills (set up a dd for a minimum of 150 a month) after telling them no one has ever told us we're supposed to give readings and that they never come to read the meter like a 'normal' energy supplier they've just been worse than useless, not even took my complaint about them not telling us about the estimated readings etc. Long story short do we have a leg to stand on? We're a low income family of 2 adults and 3 children (one being 5, another having suspected adhd) We don't have any disposable income, we've always budgeted to pay these 'estimated' bills and they're ramming this bill down our throat. Thanks in advance, kylie
  3. Hi Folks, Npower said my final bill was roughly £127. I checked the readings against what the estimated bill said then I paid roughly £80, which tied in exactly with the readings. They are now chasing me for £47 saying I'm due them, but all the communication is generic crap and they haven't responded to anything I send them. I've put in a formal complaint and asked for a copy of their complaints procedure. Are they likely to listen, or see sense? Anything else I should be doing/be aware of? I switched supplier around the 5th on august... cheers folks
  4. I am in trouble due to EON billing system . I am private tenant and since last two year having services from EON as economy 7 plan .Since i moved in this property i always had estimated bill i paid for one year but bills keep on increasing every time so i report them to take meter reading . But no one from EON arrived for 6 months . After 6 months of followup via mail and phone one representative came for inspection and found that meter is faulty .Therafter took another 7 months to replace this meter ( three times engineer gave appointment and not turned up). Now they replace meter and based on last one month reading they send me estimated bill of £ 2250 for year . When i called customer service they said they use some software to calculate this bill and i have to pay this amount . This is really put me in financial trouble now. if anyone have any idea how i can resolve this please please please let me know .
  5. Hi im looking for advice, came home last week to a meter readers card on doorstep from british gas. Its the first anyone has ever been to read it in four years. They send me emails with an estimated amount for gas/electric and i have been paying what they ask. Unfortunately, its been grossly underestimated and i now owe them £1008 for electricity which they want back at £120 a month. I was so relieved they were willing to spread it out that i accepted that payment plan at once. However, iv now had time to think about it, im off work ill on ssp and will really struggle to pay that every month, as well as my current usage, and then gas on top. Is it possible from others experience, they will accept a lower amount?, i appreciate i used it but surely they should have read the meter in four years?. My other query is, if some of this electricity was used over a long period, is it fair iv been charged for it all at current prices? im worried sick over this, so thank you for any advice.
