Hi All im in the process of claiming unfair dismissal and i have a tribunal date for the 12th dec. i now have to....set out in writing a remedy the tribunal is being asked to award. Now i don't want my job back but being a single mum of 3 children i feel i would find it impossible to get another job to suite within the foreseeable future. im just really seeking advise on WHAT i should claim for financially ? do i put that i have still 30 years of employment left and ask for 30 years wages? i really don't know. also debts that ive taken on whilst employed that i cannot now pay? Please advise me as i only have 2 weeks to respond. i have been to the CaB today who couldn't advise me and also to my local advise centre who said the same. i just don't want to look cheeky by claiming for loads. thanks in advance
I'm writing on behalf of a friend who is very streesed out. Recently she asked for more help with the job as she has been working 50+ hours a week and not getting paid for it. She asked for help and threatened to leave if this was not given. Since then she has had a number of meetings with management and HR saying there are issues with her work. Then she was given a letter saying due to the fact she is unhappy at work she will leave at the end of August, She had 7 days to contest this, which she didn't (instead buried her head in the sand). Now she is worried she has lost her job and is being pushed out. Should she take this to court? Would she have a case or have HR covered themselves? Thanks in advance
Hi I slipped in a Chinese.takeaway where I also work and resulted in injuring my coccyx. I spoke to my employer and he laughter at me. I then spoke to my solicitors who then are taking action against yhier insurance. The boss sent my solicitor a letter saying that I'm not an employee and that I'm only self employed worker and tend tha the company in question has no proprietor and is now trading under a different name and will not be making any compensations to me . I have a sneaky feeling that they do not have insurance. The company itself is being investigated by HMRC for not paying its employees national minimum wage. Please advise me, are they trying to avoid blame or what?
