  1. Hello, I was hoping someone could give me a little insight into something going on with my credit score, and how welcome finance are keeping records of my finances. I was made bankrupt just over a year ago. In fact my bankruptcy discharge was the 11.11.10. I've been keeping a close eye on my credit score and report and watched it steadily rise. The issue is, on my credit file, some accounts are showing settled, some show default (with a date) my welcome finance record is showing late by 6 payments (closer to 36) and updated every month!! Is this right? I'm trying to clear my past, start afresh and learn from my mistakes and I want to make sure this is reflected in my credit score! Any ideas?? Thanks
  2. Hi new to the forum so bare with me please; I have got around 12 credit agreements on my credit file which about 8 of which have now defaulted and are now with debt collection agencies. I have contacted National debt-line and gone through my financial statement to work out if i can afford any payments. In the end they advised me to file for bankruptcy or ask them to write the debt off, opted to try and get them to write the debts off. I have written to most to all of them and explained the situation to them and attached my National debt-line ref. As expected they sent me template letters saying that they have received my letters and i should call them to discuss the debt. After many letters back and forth I am now in the position where 2 of them lowell and Robinson Way, are offering to accept a token £1 per month until my circumstances have changed. Although my financial my financial statement shows i have no extra income to make that payment. I intend to continue writing to them to try and persuade them to write the debt off because i really cannot afford to pay any of the debts; Would anybody be able to advise me on any other avenues i can take? Thanks in advance
  3. Hi Short posts, simple answer I guess too. I have a CCJ. I have got it set-aside from the courts, and have the paperwork to go with it. What do I need to do now? will the CCJ just go away, or do I need to do something about it? thanks
  4. Hi, I have a default from Lloyds TSB for a Master Card, the date of the agreement is early 2003, the date of the default is Nov 2006. The debt was sold to Arrow Global in Sept 2009, they now have the default on my credit file, this has been causing no end of problems as I am a director of a company and any credit or contracts that the company apply for it brings up my default and the application fails. I have disputed the debt since May 2006, I sent all the standard letters off here (could'nt remember my old account details to log in) back in May, June July 2006, Got all the way up to sending a N1 then droppped it due to work commitments. I have been in contact with Lloyds, Arrow and their solicitors (I use this term lightly) Fairfax. Seem to be going round in circles, any advice would be great. Thanks in advance

  6. Hi there Can anyone help please, can you give me some advice. I am currently black-listed due to my poor debt management. It all started about 8-9 Years ago, i have changed my surname during this period( to open a bank account) and i have moved house twice. I had two credit cards few store/catalouge accounts a bank consolidation loan probably totalling in the region of 15-20k. Its so long ago i cant remember. I'm on benefits, older and wiser and have children and i regret every penny of debt i have fallen into. My dream is to get back into work eventually have a mortgage and possibly set up a small business. No one has traced me so far, but i worry that my dream can never come true due to my debt. I will never get a mortgage or help with a business loan and fear one day if by magic i did manage to have attain my dream that a debtor can come an take it all away. Can any one advise, i havent checked my credit file as i dont want them to know me current address.Should i settle my debt or should i continue to hide under my alias..(which just has one debt against it through no fault of my own it is due to 3 mobile company) Please help!
