  1. and do I need one? The CCJ is showing as satisfied CCJ on my credit file, so do I need a certificate of satisfaction as well? It is for a tenancy for a rented house and they are saying I need one even though it is showing as satisfied. Can I apply for a certificate online, or do I have to write in? Thanks for replies.
  2. I was recently visited by a bailiff for outstanding Council Tax, I checked the register and the bailiff wasn't on it so I requested the info from Jacobs and also the courts. Jacobs replied stating the bailiff was granted a certificate on 30th May 2013 but had a reply from the courts today and they said the bailiffs application is pending. Please can anyone tell me if the bailiff is allowed to visit whilst the application is still pending.
  3. I have had a DCC sent to me for presumably solicitors fees for a debt with RBS for which debt was amicably agreed at a monthly fee and subsequently not showing as a CCJ. I presumed within this fee was the solicitors costs too as have been paying them direct. As I am trying to repair my credit record, if I cannot pay this DCC, will it show on my file like a CCJ? Can I submit anything to the court or solicitors to ask for time to pay as I am not able to meet this debt in one lump....?

Experience Supplier & Venue Absolutely Scotland Tank Driving Absolutely Scotland (Tank Driving) Castle hill, Cambusbarron By Stirling Stirling FK7 9QU Please make sure that you are familiar with the location of the experience venue. Get driving directions by following this link. i have read this and the important notes box, then under this box is another with the address and a link to follow for getting directions, although in the important notes section it has an address, which has to be copied and pasted to get to, i have just presumed the link they have enclosed for the directions is the same thing, so i have followed their link and printed out the directions, directions through google maps, and i have followed them online right to the destination end, where you see some 4x4s training ground, and these directions have pointed this out to be the location, on arriving here their is no clear signs for the driving experiethere isnce, and their fore i have gone to the club shop and they have explained the woman is further down the road on the right along a dirt track, needless to say i never found this gate or dirt track, after an hour trying to find this place i have given up, a couple houses i have stopped and asked at knew it went on somewhere in the area, but were not sure where exactly it was. when i have copied and pasted the address in the important notes it is different instructions, where it does take you to the same spot where the 4x4s were, but a closed gate has to be opened then down a long dirt track, although at this spot there is no signs or indications to this, i have found the boarding pass a bit confusing as it does tell you to follow this link for directions, maybe my own fault for not coping address and pasting, as they now say i missed my slot and nothing can be done, therefore my voucher is now spent, anyone know where i would stand on this, thanks for any advice
  5. DLA have written to me asking for my birth certificate so that they can check my date of birth. I don't have a problem with that and will send it off signed for on Monday. I'm just curious to know if this is just some sort of random check and have others had the same request. I've been in receipt of DLA for about 10 months.
  6. Hi All, Can anyone answer the following: When did Natwest start producing cerificates of interest earned? When did they start making this available via the online banking portal? The reason for these questions is that my local tax office in DE have recently been supplied information regarding my UK accounts and are claiming that I have not declared them. I am in the process of trying to convince them that the statement from Natwest covers the period April-April and not Jan-Dec (which is why my figures and the banks do not match - absolute nightmare) Thanks for any information G
  7. Hey All, I am new to this forum and I find it great. What is the process for getting GSC? Does it not involve the tenant present at that time signing the GSC? Can my landlord not forge one and say that he just forgot to give it to me. Does GSC have the signature of the tenant to approve that GSC was actually done? Otherwise my landlord can always find a dodgy gas safe engineer to issue a certificate in back date. Isnt' it?
  8. Hi All, i have lived in a property for 7 weeks now, i paid £595.00 deposit and £595.00 rent in advance.and was told the annual gas safety check was at the end of the month which would have been 3 weeks after we moved in,upon moving in there was a glass placed under the combi boiler to catch a "drip of water" which steadily got worse, anyway the end of the month came and went and still no plumber.I asked the landlord what was happening and was told the plumber was busy, this went on until last week a week ago the boiler stopped working altogether, i called the landlord who informed me they would get it sorted. they waited 5 days to call a plumber, who arrived yesterday, wiring not carried out by a proffessional was found inside and the boiler was not "room sealed" correctly, at this point i should say im epileptic and my fits have increased since living here. I asked the landlord to see the gas safety certificate which was in place when i moved in to which i got no reply, it turns out they didnt have one at all, the plumber is coming back today to sort the boiler so until he does i have no idea whether it was leaking CM. i have also asked about details of the rent deposit scheme to which i have also had no reply, i strongly suspect that my deposit has been used to pay their mortgage as the landlords lived in the property for 3 months prior to us moving in, the landlord was trying to get me to move in 3 days before i wanted to, and i stuck to my original date, they then said i had to pay the rent 4 days early to allow it to clear, which leads me to believe the mortgage is due 3 days before my rent, hence my bgelief they used my deposit to pay their mortgage, now the landlord has tried to say it must have been the previous tennant who got somone to bodge the boiler! and they didnt know until now, although how they know now i dont know and they cant explain, i feel really angry that they have let myself and my children stay in a property which is potentially unsafe, what should i do? thanks in advances Stewart McLean
  9. Hi im having a problem at the moment i had some debt with vodafone a couple of years ago and finished paying it off to Arvato debt collection on Aug 21st last year at a reduced lump sum. At the time I was unaware that this wouldnt clear my full debt with vodafone as I never recieved any contact at all from neither voda or arvato after making the final reduced lump sum payment, Ive recently applied for a mortgage unaware of this outstanding balance vodafone still claim to be owed of £30.55 I have been in touch with vodafone collections dept today and explained the situation to which i was told vodafone would definately not clear the debt (even though i paid it off when it was passed to arvato) Feeling backed into a corner i have paid the £30.55 over the phone (authorisation code 012205) but now need a satisfaction certificate as it takes too long for the credit file to update and as i said im trying for a mortgage. I have been instructed to fax the quality assurance team (which i have done) explaining the situation and explaining i need the satisfaction certificate asap (like today) i was assured on the phone this wouldnt be a problem but havent had any reply from QA please could someone get in touch with me so i can resolve this issue Cheers
  10. Today i received a letter from ESA saying that my Medical Certificate was about to expire on December 19th (See the mistake) and that i had to send them a doctors letter by the 20th of December (second mistake). I only sent my ESA request on the 11th of January. I hadn't even sent them a form of Medical Certificate yet. Their letter is dated January 28th. To me this seems like a huge mistake on their part. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Some travel agents will not be ready for a new scheme that clarifies holidaymakers' rights if a tour operator collapses, organisers say. Travellers booking flights and holidays will be given new certificates from Monday. The Atol certificate scheme will make it clear which elements of a holiday are protected, and make refunds easier. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says the protection still stands even if certificates are not ready. But the consumer organisation Which? is advising consumers not to book holidays with agents or websites that cannot provide certificates. More ...
  12. Hey, Yesterday morning I received a letter stating that my medical certificate for my ESA is about to expire and it covers from the 3rd of July to the 6th of September. The letter states that to continue getting payments I must send one in by the 7th. The problem is that my Doctors surgery likes to be very slow and I might not be able to get the Certificate in by the 7th. Now my question is will this effect my ESA payment that I am due to get this week? I normally receive my payments on Thursday, this Thursday being the 6th. Does that mean I will still receive the payment on Thursday or will they withhold it until they receive the Medial Certificate? Thanks for any replies.
  13. Okay so here's the deal, one year ago, my friend bought me a personalised number plate and gave me the V750 certificate that went along with it. He put my name as one of the nominees when he bought it. I went to my local garage, from whom I bought the car and got the number plate registered to my car. Or so I thought. This was a year ago. Today, I got an email from that friend asking me what went wrong, as he got a letter stating that the V750 certificate has expired and the number plate was not registered to any car. He attached the letter showing that the certificate expired on the 1/08/2012. My plan of action is to call the garage tomorrow. But I feel that inevitably, I have to deal with DVLA as I do want to keep the registration. How do I approach this situation? Some people have told me to go for the easy route out and tell DVLA that I was "out of the country" etc.. I think it might be easier to just tell the truth (given it was NOT a major blunder on my part, when I talk to the garage).. What do you guys think?
  14. A Mate living up in North Yorks has had his first ever visit from a rent-a-thug, it turns out the guy has his own one man band ltd bailiff firm and is being subcontracted warrants to enforce by Jacobs. His certificate however claims him to be an employee of Jacobs, and the Court he is certified have confirmed this. Does that make any difference, ie, is he still able to visit and attempt to enforce, if his certificate is wrong? I cannot remember at all re cert's its too hot for my brain to work properly At the moment, he has not managed to make any levy's. This is for a parking ticket from a Council "pay and display" park. It seemed weird from the info until mate got Jacobs to confirm it was subcontracting. This guy and his "registered office" (probably his home) is in Durham, he is enforcing in North Yorks, and his certificate authorising him to work for Jacobs is with Birkenhead Court. Our unwanted guest is the proud owner and director of A&C Bailiff's ltd. Company number 07459065
  15. Hi everyone Can someone help with a query re different courts and debt? I had a costs certificate issued from London regarding a case I am still fighting. I applied for this to be set aside as the matter isn't finished. The hearing will take place in two weeks about this. However, today I received an Order of recovery of award from my local court. I am confused and not sure what to do next Scott
  16. Without going into all the details, My daughter was issued a points of dispute regarding a court costs. Due to the lack of legal knowledge a Default Certificate was issued, I attempted to have it set aside but the judge has said that she must list each point by 21 June, The cost exceed £15000 and she has a young baby and living on her own in a rented home. She is unable to pay this amount, or challenge the bill of costs. If we agree them and offer a small payment, would they threatened to issue a Statutory Demand which I would assume will make her bankrupt.
