  1. HI ALL, to cut a long story short ive had problems with the above for ever. I have an arrears repayment order on a suspended warrant which is nearly paid off, howver every year they attempt to enforce the warrant without success. My issue is this, on my letters and quarterly statements I have seen a whole bunch of other charges. 3 years ago i wrote to complain and they removed them incremently. these charges are shown to be part of the arrears however they are threatening again (not that i get worried), please could you tell me exactly what the hell the
  2. Hi I was just wondering if I could get some advise please for my mother. I will try to explain best that I can, so here goes, I recently found out that my mother currently has an interest only mortgage of £102k from Accord Mortgages, the problem is that back in 2003 she purchased her council house for £28K in which she had a mortgage of £34k from a company called SPML. Now somewhere in between 2003 and 2006 (when she moved to Accord) her mortgage has obviously tripled in size. Getting information from her about where the money has gone is like getting blood from a stone. The o
  3. Looked through forum many times, also people have helped me through several eviction attempts over the years with these low life's. In a good place right now, Experian showing my mortgage payments to Acenden up to date for last 3 years. The payment is taken by DD and the only problem I have every year is they add buildings insurance on but I get them to remove. However my mortgage is 10k higher now than when it commenced in 2004. I have literally paid tens of thousands in charges, solicitors cost etc. like many they turned up to court and presented false figures, at
  4. Hi, In around1999-2000 i had a card with BoS, which was defaulted on around the start 2001.(balance around £1650 ) I initially made £1 token payments through the CAB, this lasted only around 6 months, when i stopped paying. After being threatened with a statutory demand in 2008 i began paying Capquest £10 a month from 29th OCT 2008. (the balance stated then was £1900.00) I kept this up until 30 Sept 2009. In Dec 2013 they took me to court and got a CCJ for £10 a month which ive had to pay since. (balance had become £2760.00 ?) My question is ,is there an
  5. Hi, I don't do Facebook so I have started a thread on the MoneySavingExpert forum - The Acenden (administered mortgage) Escape Committee in the section called "Mortgage Free Wannabe" (I can't post links here yet). - Acenden have apparently recommenced selling mortgages on behalf of their new owners. Do join me there. I will post more information on that new thread in a while, eg about the danger signs that indicate that Acenden means to repossess. Everyone's case is unique but there are things we can to help each other get clear of these cowboys.
  6. Hi, I currently have a suspended possession order on my property. After failing to sell the house for 3 years and being refused the right to rent (which would easily cover the payments) i have decided to hand the keys in. I have been promised the information regarding this twice by capstone in the last month and to date have still not received the letters that they are insisting they have sent. They said they would put any action on hold till 31.8.12 to give me time to receive the letter then they would apply for the warrent to enforce the repossession. What should i do now
  7. Hi, I have arrears with SPPL (now Ascenden). These arrears are £515.00. My due date for payment is the 20th of the month, however there have been times when I have paid about a week later and I have been charged late payment fees. On top of this they have told me that as I dont have an arrangement in place to pay the extra £70pm I am being charged an arrears management fee. In order to stop these fees I am to give them details of my incoming and outgoings, which I dont think is any of their business, to make an arrangement to pay the additional £7
  8. Hi guys..Hope somebody ,somewhere, can help me...Back in 2009 despite having a payment agreement in place Capstone aggresively repossessed my property , i had lost my job and my partner was working but we struggled to make payments which in the end were over £1200 per month..unfortunatley, and although i now regret this i just 'gave up' ..having recently lost both parents I didnt have the strength to fight... does anyone think I now have any cause of redress on this matter.. I would really appreciate any help or advice you could offer ps Im sorry if this is in the wrong forum but i'v
  9. Back in 2005/6 Ocean Finance arranged a large mortgage of about £400k for me. In late 2007 I was lucky to sell my house & payback Capstone/SPML. Just before they repossed it. I still have all the paperwork. Am I right in thinking I can reclaim all the charges payed to Capstone SPML. which amounted to a lot including court costs etc , & about £25k early repayment fees, also are they known to have included PPI in with my monthly payments, & if so can i also reclaim that. Any help & advice you can give me would be gratefully received. Thanks
  10. It all boils down to securitisation !! That is why these barstewards are so hard to deal with !!! Did you know that your mortgage was being securitised when you signed your agreement? Nope me neither! But it appears that although they dont make you aware when you are signing, it does affect your rights and remedies, should you experience financial difficulty and fall into arrears, this can not be right surely, there must be a law that covers this or come under the act which covers unfair contract terms in consumer credit agreements? Any one any ideas ? There must be some le
