  1. Hi, First time post for me but after doing a bit of searching this place looks to be very useful so hopefully I can get some advice on my predicament... Firstly, I'm not looking to blame Barclays as the problem is entirely my own doing BUT isn't helped but what I see is a failure of several Barclay's systems to provide useful information which would have helped my not make my mistake so my request is twofold. ... I had two Barclayloans, one for oustanding amount A and one with an outstanding amount of B. The difference between the two outstanding amounts was £4K. One monthly p
  2. Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me... In August 2015 I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S6 on eBay from what seemed to be a trustworthy "phone company" with very good reviews. I received the phone exactly as described, brand new and sealed and factory unlocked. I have been on a Sim-only contract with Vodafone for a long time and I immediately began using the Sim in the new phone with no problems at all for the next 6 months or so. However, in February 2016 the phone suddenly lost all network coverage and after a few confusing phone calls with Vodafone (which also involved me s
  3. So this is my first post (Had I know this place existed before, I would have had way less headaches during the years dealing with cheating companies, less than helpful customer services and being fooled by basically every singer company I have ever signed a contract with, at least when thinking on technology and telecoms) Nevertheless, better late than ever, and in this case I seek advice of a different kind. So I bought a second hand handset from gumtree, a Galaxy S 3 with a crack in the screen and locked to O2, but otherwise in good condition and fully working. Complete with charger, bu
  4. Thousands of innocent bank customers are being branded crooks because their names have been put on a secret blacklist. A Money Mail investigation has discovered how the credit records of around 1,000 ordinary savers a year are being wrecked by suspicious banks. Through no fault of their own, customers have had their details added to a register of possible fraudsters. This places a black mark against them and can make it impossible to get a bank account, a credit card or mortgage. Anyone who demands to know why they have been put on the list is fobbed off, and told they cannot be given a
  5. My partner bought a handset privately and it worked fine for a month. Then it wouldn't make or receive calls. It turns out it's been blacklisted on UK networks. We've run a report and also reported it to the police. It turns out that it's not stolen, nor is it the subject of an insurance claim. I'm assuming then that the previous owner is in default with their contract and hence it's been blocked by whichever network they're in default with. My question is is there any way to get the block lifted? Anyone had experience of this before?
  6. Back in May 2009 I bought a used car using a 2 year Hire Purchase finance deal provided by Blackhorse. Unfortunately the car (a Volvo) broke down almost immediately and declared 'not reparable' by a Volvo dealership garage. Spent one year trying to come to some understanding with Blackhorse but got nowhere so the matter was referred to the Courts (in the mean time I kept paying Blackhorse until May 2010). My Claim included the rejection of the car and a demand for sustained costs and losses. The Claim was awarded in full by default against the dealer that sold me the car. My Clai
