  1. Following from my previous thread about FF from Mint http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?394344-Full-Final-Settlement-offer-MINT&p=4261712 I had a refusal letter from Robinson Way on my Barclaycard. I have sent out CCA request so will be waiting on them for this. £3000 - Barclay credit card, Robinson Way Ltd (Showing on my credit report) - when was you last payment? & the defaulted date please? Through DMP once every month, Defaulted on 01/11/2007 for the amount £4,423 funny it shows me at 8 late payments for the last 6 years!! I offered them 25% as goodwill but seemingly they feel I owe more. Thanks, Neo.
  2. Hi everyone Sadly in the last few years I have suffered serious mental health issues. As a result I was I lost my job, and have been dependent on state benefits. My credit file was in a serious mess, as I was unable to keep with repayments. I am slowly on a painful road to recovery, and looking to take responsibility of my affairs myself support. I have this week checked my credit file and found that only the debt that appears is a Barclaycard debt which was taken out in 2003. I vaguely remember in 2007, that I visited CAB along with my support worker and they contacted Barclaycard on my behalf and a payment of £5 per month was agreed as that was how much I could afford. My credit file shows AP markers from nov 2007 to Dec 2011. The debt was then sold to Cabot, and I continued to pay £5 to present day, AP markers showing throughout the whole time. The debt outstanding is nearly £8000, and I am not in a position to pay more than £5 or indeed pay it all off in one lump sum. Cabot have written to me recently offering a settlement figure, of £3500, which seems very generous but I am unable to take them up on their offer. I also have other debts, where I pay £1 per month, but these debts are not showing on my credit report. I have checked Equifax, Noddle, and Check my File. I had no idea why the other debts were not showing on my credit file, so I contacted Step Change, debt charity, they explained it could because I have finished paying my debts, or possibly they are so old that just don't appear on my file any longer. My question is if the old debts no longer appear on my credit file after a certain period, why is the Barclaycard debt still showing. Barclaycard were aware of my mental health at the time as were the other creditors, shouldn't they all have treated my debts in the same way. What would be best way forward on dealing with the Barclaycard now Cabot debt? Best regards Kilmorie
  3. In March 2010 I had a statement from Barclay card stating I owed them £940.52, it had been forwarded from my old address. I called them as I have never had a barclay card or a barclay account I told them all this on the phone. They said it would be passed on to their fraud department and they would write to me letting me know what happened. This was the last I heard from them, until I got a letter from Lowell on March 2012 stating I owed Barclay card £940.52 saying This notice is being given to you as required by the consumer credit act 1974 because you fell behind with your payments under agreement with original creditor. Opening balance 01/10/2008... £940.52 I called them stating I had never had a barclay card or account, I was unable to get credit because I went Bankrupt in 2007 at my old address I gave them my bankruptcy details. Thats when I was told on the phone that the card was taken out in 2005 and was being used and balance was being paid up until 2007. .I exlained I had lived at that address after my bankruptcy till March 2010 when I moved to new house, where Barclays first contacted me. Also that I had never had a single letter/statement or phone call from Barclays. I got a letter saying they had noted my comments and they had done an internal trace procedure using various credit reference agencies, and they believed that I am in fact the debtor. They have sent me a copy of the original credit agreement., It is not my signature on the form I do not know what to do as I never had anything with Barclays, What can I do. sorry for the long story but I thought it was easier to explain the whole thing
