  1. Hi, Just after some advice on this one. Will try and keep it simple Received a letter saying that I received £500 to much in holiday pay and that I needed to pay it back. The mistake is due to the fact that I reduced my hours and subsequently they reduced my holiday entitlement without me realising. I never signed a new contract when I reduced my hours. I know if it was an over payment I would have no choice to own up and pay it back straight away. You can argue that the same principle applies that I should have realised I woudnt be entitled to the the same holiday pay on reduced hours but on the other hand I was never given a new contract detailing my new entitlement. Where do I stand with this? As you can imagine for us thats a huge amount of money Many thanks Bill
  2. Read this article and you will be flabbergasted! Click on this link. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2238017/UK-gives-19million-aid-South-Africa--president-spends-17-5million-palace.html
  3. Hello, I'm in a really difficult situation. I am currently on benefits, I have a child and I have to go back to Italy for a while (personal reasons), I don't know if I will stay there permanently, but when I arrive, I won't have any financial resources straight away. I will have to find a job, etc. and with a young child is not going to be easy. I am thinking about not notifying the dwp, hmrc and housing benefit/ctax benfit of my leaving the country, so I have some means to start with. If I don't do it, I won't be able to survive. I know is not I nice thing to do, I am a honest person, but circumstances are forcing me, it is necessary. It would be only for the first two or three months, but I'm afraid I could be caught, brought back to the UK and put in prison. How likely is that to happen? Thanks in advance. A desperate mother.
  4. Ive got an issue Ive stop in Shell garage to call Breakdown company because i had flat tire. Police arrived (someone called from public) and i was arrested for drink driving. Green flag subcontractor ON TIME arrived but i wasnt there. According to them police instructed them to take my car away. So i made a complaint to Essex police. They had investigated and Inspector called me to tell me that police didnt instruct anyone to do it (car had MOT,TAX and insured). After many calls i was told to pay the fee for towing away my car. I was shocked how it could happened. My car was unlocked and it was my personal belongings like wallet, phone and passport. So they took my unlocked car (MBenz worth 7000 £) with all my belonging and i havent seen it since 4 of August and now is 25 of August. I am thinking to go to small court claims. I just cant believe that big companies dont care about there costumer. Any advise Thank you
  5. What a shame, a strapping 6ft 5" and 300 pounds. Michael Clarke Duncan's fiancée says the Oscar-nominated star of The Green Mile has died while being hospitalised following a July heart attack. Publicist Joy Fehily released a statement from Duncan's partner, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, saying the 54-year-old actor died on Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital after nearly two months of treatment after the July 13 heart attack. The 6ft 5in, 300 pound star appeared in dozens of films, including box office hits Armageddon, Planet of the Apes and Kung Fu Panda. 6. Hello there, I need desperate advise. What would happen if I run away from my UK debts which i've on Credit Cards around 10k. Would I be chased even till India if I move there..? Will they be able to find my home address.there? Can they sell these debts to an Indian debt collection agency. I am in big financial mess which myself is responsible. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards H.
  7. Hi Guys. I've been fending off Link for quite some time. I did manage to get one CCJ attempt struck out but they still hold 2 more accounts and they are not giving up without a fight. I had been paying to all 3 accounts until I found this site. They have sent me reconstituted credit agreements for both these accounts & pre contract application forms. Both accounts were from MBNA credit cards. I replied to these efforts by saying that while the reconstituted agreements may have satisfied the CCA request, they were still not enforceable in court. This is their response : We note from our system records that you previously disputed the exact same issue regarding the credit agreements. We had made our position clear in our letter dated xx/xx/xx. We confirmed that the documentation sent was regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974. We will not enter further dialogue with you regarding the agreements as we had already issued our final response on the matter. It is nonsensical that you would make payments on an account which is now disputed. Please contact our office with your payment proposals to settle the outstanding balances to avoid any recovery action. Interesting that they are saying that I have more or less accepted they have a valid claim as I have already made payments to them. Do they have a point? Could they use that in any court action? Any thoughts on this matter & a possible course of action would be gratefully appreciated.
