  1. Hi, I just wanted to check this out, in 2009 I was unfortunate enough to be given a CCJ by Suzuki Finance Limited for a car loan that I couldn't repay which was through Black Horse Finance. I made a payment arrangement and am still paying off the CCJ (which I will be doing until I die as they repayment amount is only £10 per month). I have paid the CCJ every month without fail and it reached 6 years old earlier this year and was removed from my Noddle account. However, even though I have never missed a payment the entry is also showing in "other accounts" on my credit report and I noticed that last month the default date has been changed to 12/7/12. Can someone advise me if Black Horse or Suzuki Finance (whoever has done this) are allowed to do this please? I have reported the matter to Noddle as default date incorrect and I'm waiting to hear from them. Thank you Maybe
  2. Hi all, this is my first visit I have a 14 year old son who was recently diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome, which is a form of Autism. He has obsessive tendencies, which is one of the symptoms, and as such 'demands' that I take him to his favourite places on a Saturday. I approached my employer and asked for my hours to be amended to accommodate this and was open and honest and explained the situation fully. They made me fill in the relevant forms, and then knocked me back, stating their reasons, all of which dont hold any water. They first claim cost when I proved that cost would be zero and also that they couldnt 'cover my duty' of a Saturday, when I have evidence that my job has been covered every time that I was off on holiday on a Saturday. I have since become absent due to stress and anxiety and have attempted to contact my manager by email, requesting various documentary evidence that he claims to have to support him, but he has not answered three emails. My simple question is, where do I go next? Any help greatly appreciated
  3. Hi everyone, I'm a sole trader and would like to file an amended return for the tax year 2012-2013. I know I still have time but the problem is I want to declare much higher income than I stated originally on the form, and I worry that I will have to face an enquiry if I do so. I have no idea what I was thinking when I was filing the original return. I haven't earned much that year, maybe £9100 in total but I declared I made £6,500! I somehow forgot to include income from one of my only two clients and I have no real excuse. I might have one but it won't be sufficient, if anything it'll be pathetic. I remember not even declaring any costs because I thought what the heck I haven't earned much, I won't have to pay tax so why bother including the costs of running my business (roughly £300). I do want to declare it but I'm scared. I've already spoken to TaxAid in June but I wasn't able to meet with them because I'm currently abroad and undergoing medical tests. I might be able to come back to the UK in September. What I should expect? Will my amendment raise suspicion? Will they want to check all previous years? The reason I worry so much it's because I can't handle any stress right now and an enquiry would cost me a lot of money. I'd appreciate any advice or if you guys could share your experiences. Thanks a lot!
  4. Hello, I wonder if you can help me.... Back in 2009 I was awarded a settlement through the Ombudsman for PPI with a bank for a loan. The bank was ordered to put me in a position had I not taken out the PPI so they set me up a new account, new number, new loan amount, new payment amount etc but DID NOT ask me to sign a new agreement. I've repaid the debt now but want to know under the CCA 1974 section 82 here (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1974/39/section/82). Should they have got me to sign a new credit agreement??? Thanks O
  5. Hi, Wondering if anyone might be able to give me some advice re. an amended final gas bill.... Left Atlantic Gas on Jan 25th 2012 after opening account in Dec 2011. Paid DD monthly gas payments throughout this period (£48). Spoke with them around Jan 25th '12 to explain was leaving, and they told me that there would be one final payment after which account would be closed. In March 2012 I was credited £32.96 by them. However, in June 2012 I received a bill which they say is based on actual readings from the period 17th Nov 2011 to Jan 25 2012. Apparently I owe £556 for my consumption during this 69 day period. What confuses me, is why I was credited in March - i.e., after 25 Jan which according to them was when the most up-to-date reading was given, yet the bill wasn't issued until June 2012. Why close the account without using most up-to-date information? What are my rights (if any) about this? Another aspect of the situation is that the period I received this final June bill is around the time that the account holder after me was settling her account because she was leaving the property. They initially charged her several hundred pounds for three months, which she contested and they reduced the bill by £80. She contested again and they revised the bill to £37 (for her entire use over 3.5 months). When she called to provide a final reading a week later they said she had spent £100 in the the course of a week (after an average expenditure of £10 / week for 3 months). She finally agreed to pay £137 for 3.5 months. After she had settled her account is when I received my June bill. This hasn't given me any confidence that the bill is calculated correctly - rather, it seems like they have a deficit and they are chasing anyone for it. Also the bill seems very high - even allowing for increased use during winter and rising gas prices. They have also agreed to lower the bill to £355 because I am disputing it - seems like a strange tactic if their charges are sound?! Any help, advice, suggestions etc would be very gratefully received. Thanks!
