  1. hi sorry I'm not sure where best to post this. We have a remortgage going through with nationwide. During the application process we were asked if we needed transfer of equity and we said yes. It then told us we needed legal advice for this and do we want a quote from one of their solicitors and do we want a quote? We said yes and it brought back a quote of £255, asked us if we wished to accept and I said yes and proceeded with the application. I then got the application summary which states everything: Transfer of equity required? Yes Free legals taken? Yes Soli
  2. I received a retention offer via email so I had to speak to the live chat team to accept it. I was quote the price and all was good. I then received a confirmation email a day later that noted there was a price increase of £3 per month. Yeah it's only £3 but it's the principle. I got onto the live chat and was told recontract offers are immediate and there is no cooling off period and the misinformation I was given was not a valid reason to 'nullify' the contract. I'm absolutely livid at how sneaky they were!
  3. Concerning the issue of whether we are a casual worker or a an employee there is many criteria to consider for example the time we work for the employer, our skills, whether he employs us only in case of shortage or during peak time or he uses us in the normal running of our business...etc. However I would like to know if the conclusive evidence is not when the P45 has been issued because if it has been issued one year after the start of employment this means that we are now an employee. It is up to the employer to decide if he need us anymore or nor and as a consequence if he se
  4. Nearly a month ago now, they said they would write back to confirm the money being transferred into my account within 28 days, it was with Black Horse, getting worried that I haven't heard anything.
  5. Hi all, have just recently had 4 loan ppi reclaims upheld and sent off acceptances. Its only been 2 weeks for me and the blurb they (Rbs) sent says 28 working days but I am just curious if you guys have had to wait the full time, longer or shorter amounts of time. I am kind of expecting an offset but keeping my fingers crossed anyway. I believe they would still be sending me the interest anyway if they do offset, read that on here somewhere. So, what were your timescales and did you have to jolly them along at all?
  6. Hi there i have received a letter from Marlin after my debt has been classified as Statute Barred stating i owe them money. I received the letters from Credit Acceptance Corp UK Ltd stating they will not contact me further and correct my credit report. This was 6 months ago. I have stupidly disposed of those letters and now need some proof that the debt is classified as statute barred so marlin stop harassing me. When i wrote to them stating that the debt has been classified as SB they said that they HAD NOT received any letters from Credit Acceptance Corp UK Ltd stating the d

I have received my final pack but there is a form in there for Authority to Contact Employer. Now i'm really not comfortable with Welcome contacting my boss, will they decline my application if I do not complete this form?
