  1. Hi, I recently got a letter from the magistrates asking to plead guilty/not-guilty to a speeding fine where I was doing 63 in a 30 (allegedly). I asked for evidence and calibration certificates, which they sent (cant attach???) Anyways, they are really poor quality and you cant see the road markings etc however the camera clocked me at 63, could i plead innocent and say the camera was faulty and since they cant prove the speed by way of road markings my punishment should be lenient or dismissed?
  2. Hi My son was pulled over for speeding. The police said that he was doing 55mph in a 30mph limit so would be referred to court. My son is adamant that he was not doing 55mph inside. The police statement says they were standing approximately 300m inside the 30mph zone. We have measured where they said they were standing and it is only 242 metres inside the zone. They have sent a photo of the reading on the hand held device - besides the mph it also says 248.2 m which we assume is how far the reader was from the car when zapped? which would mean my son was outside of the 30mph when zapped. Should he plead not guilty? He is within 2 years of taking his test so if he is given 6 points we think he automatically loses his licence? Thanks in advance
  3. Hi there was coming down a hill in east sussex and there was a police van waiting by the side of the road and a speed gun. I got pulled over and given a pink slip and the officer let me know I will be charged and 3 points or can do a speed awareness course. I fully co-operated and was just wondering whats going to happen next as never been through this proceedure before. The offence took place last thursday so over a week ago and I havent recieved anything in the post. Thanks for any advice and/ or help, much appreciated. BB
  4. Hi, Been many years since i used these forums so I'm after some help please? Alleged that I was caught doing 37 in a 30, but I'm 99% sure this is wrong. I intend to go to court, and I would like to make sure that the TVP have to produce all calibration & training docs to prove the accuracy of the equipment used on the day. There used to be letter templates available on this forum for such things. Can anyone help me or point me int he right direction for a letter template to inform them i intend to go to court and the reasons why? Just for the record, i was on cruise control at 31mph and have had the speedo etc checked. Therefore I must assume the equipment they used was faulty? Thanks in advance.
