I've read a lot on here about to ignore this company's letters so have been doing. I bought 3 retro liverpool football tops on a car boot sale and sold them on ebay hoping to make a profit as they was only £15 each. This company purchased one and tested it and its counterfeit and trademark infringement they say, they sent me a letter saying they are acting on behalf of Liverpool fc and wanting me to sign documents and provide info on where I imported the tops from, a copy of all text and email correspondence with my supplier, what ports they were being delivered to etc , as though I was running a major counterfeit import business(I wasn't) They provided a print off of my 3 ebay listings of these shirts and pictures of the purchased top. And are demanding £1200, all my profits and that I send them any other stock I hold to destroy. I've ignored them upto now but they just sent a hand delivered letter demanding I respond within 7 days to stop the case escalating, should I continue to ignore? Thanks in advance

...western digital technologies had reported the item. I today have received a letter from Palmer Biggs saying their client is Sandisk and demanding I pay them £1100 for a listing of a counterfeit SD card which they purchased on 18th feb and tested. I can’t establish whether they are legitimately acting on behalf of sandisk or not because of the date they purchased and the date western reported it to eBay. Can anyone shed any light? I’ve seen a lot of old threads for the same issue, but I’m still a little worried...

We have received a letter from a solicitors, stating that the goods we've been selling infringe the brands trademark. We are very careful with the brands we stock and normally send them off to be authenticated by a third party. We send them detailed pictures of the watches mechanism and markings. Every time the watches have been returned as authentic. The solicitors state that the serial numbers are a different structure than that of a real watch. They have come to the conclusion that the watches are not real. Furthrmore, they have included a signed statement from a brand analyst confirming this statement. I find it odd that they have not inspected the mechanics of the watch. Furthermore, they have sent me an invoice for costs totalling £1,400 and require me to send all our goods to them, otherwise they will start issuing legal proceedings against us. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

Hi, I have received a letter from solicitors regarding 8 metres of fabric that I sold on eBay and Etsy claiming that I import and sell counterfeit products. I bought this fabric online to make curtains and then changed my mind and decided to sell them myself... They're asking for over £2,000 and the total selling price of the fabric was £250... I don't know what to do! Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

...Hi, I have read numerous threads on the firm Palmer Biggs Legal, but still unsure what to do or how to proceed with a response as their tactics seem quiet forceful and also unreasonable with regards to costs asked for etc. I run a very small, loss making Ltd company, which specialise in aftermarket parts for BMW. The site is of our own design however as we specialise in the BMW brand, we did use a resemblance of the BMW logo as a favicon for example in our URL, an some of our replacement parts are supplied with separate BMW logos as they are required to complete the look of the complex replacement part. They claim as...

Any idea on how to proceed? they say their client have ‘tested’ the product however on closer inspection, their picture is an enlarged picture of my eBay image and not a tested unit, resulting in them not being truthful on the letter. are they just after my money and stock as I’ve seen loads of other cases but unsure what to do. Help?...

...Hi I am hoping for some outcome advice as to people that have had dealing with Palmer Biggs legal ,after receiving my first bundle of papers from them earlier this year and more recently a draft court claim form that related to a large German based car company and their intellectual property rights , A Google search of them for advice led me to this site and I have found many interesting threads relating to people who found them selves in very similar situations to the one I am in with Palmer Biggs (it also seems that PB have been successful in having lots of other search results withdrawn from Google results ) ...

...ave been selling items on ebay relating to BMW and MINI and recently received no end of papers form Palmer Biggs Legal stating that they demand I sign some forms, send them any items i have relating to BMW and Mini, Agree to pay them £1000 towards legals costs and a share of the profits. Of course I first panicked. I removed any items i had on ebay and sent them some of the items i had. I did not sign the forms. The sent another letter demanding i sign but i did not. I emailed them to say that they are being heavy handed and simply had to ask ebay to remove the items, which they did not. I said that I would pay them £250 and thats...

...out. You can safely ignore or write back refuting the allegation. I should imagine that Palmer Biggs have received information from whoever owns the Hugo Boss brand rights to sell watches in the UK, that your company has sold watches which are fake. Has your company received any customer complaints that the Hugo Boss watches sold are not authentic ?...
