Claims now transferred to commercial courts..
intercityman replied to a2222's topic in Barclays Bank
I am awaiting my court allocation from MCOL. Intresting to hear they using the commercial courts as well. Have you had to pay the AQ fee. -
Currently at AQ stage with Barclays. Been at Barclays Since January, so be prepared for the long haul.
-
Heard nothing from MCOL. How long does it take MCOL to send the claim to your local court. I assume this will Be Walsall or Wolverhampton. Anyone waiting for a court date from these Courts ?

I am in a similar position just awaiting notification from Walsall Courts ( i used MCOL ). Intresting to know they are using AQ. I would be intrigued to see how quick you get your date. -
Did your case go to court in Walsall ?

Tipsy0nBacardi-V-Barclays. Bring it on!!!
intercityman replied to Tipsy0nBacardi's topic in Barclays Bank
I am just at ahead of you by around 28 days. Barclays defend my MCOL claim yesterday and I am awaiting an allocation of court, a court date and whetehr i need to fill in an AQ. -
Ok to keep you up to date Barclay's have defended today ( with 2 days to spare via MCOL ). So I am awaiting the case to be moved to my local court. So in the meantime will await my defence, get prepared to fill in an AQ and pay a fee. I assume at this stage I dont need to do any more.

Just a little bit busy !! I quick question to all thou is the AQ fee still payable ithe AQ questionairre is disposed with ? I suspect so, absolute madness that we all have to do this and surely it hits the banks profits. They end up paying more out than orginal. I wonder why it is the policy of the bank to take the mick of the law and its consumers. Seems they need to be knocked down a peg or too.

My branch recommend I did.... Claim that is

Ok Barclays need to have filed there defence with Me now by next Wednesday. I guess the trend of the last minute filing will be used. Is there anyone out there who may no what the speed of the black country ( west midlands) courts is like ? Be intresting to know where the longest periods of waiting are. I suspect it would be London myself ? Is the a thread or should we make one ?
-
NO problems
-
Thanks DARN

Just Adrian St johns name on acknowledgement no other contact name so I assume he the man to talk to in during the proceeding now.
-
If you read the thread you see i have done that
-
As per suggested on site send a copy of charge to there solicitor when they acknowledge.
-
start from stcratch what they hell would i do that for ?
-
More like waiting for the number 11 bus, you know its coming just when. MCOL have sent me the acknowledgemnt today An adrian St JOhn is the soliciter at Barclays, is he the standard person that deal with the courts. I shall be sending a copy of charges to him today. I wonder if he will be my contact ?
-
No surprise Barclays have asknowledged earlier today. So I guess a further 14 days now to wait while they delay the inevitable. And then the wait for a day in court. Now they have acknowledged I presume i should get something from MCOL in the post. So I can forward the charges to the solicitors at Barclays.
-
So it us poor conusmer that sort of lose out !!
-
Did you use MCOL or the n1 approach ?
-
Surely the OFt would be intrested in seeing a copy of this letter and maybe the FSA too. Its bullting and reialitary
-
Well they have not acknoweldege yet today, so I asusme at midnight I can judge them ( so to speak ). It all seems a bit of a joke to me if they are allowed to be late, espcially as the banks are abusing the courts and wasting there time. It must be hell try to get a day in court for any other claims. Any legal people out there that can explain why they are allowed to do this ?

Sorry it was a duplicate of below. Got my chunk typo-nese fingers on today !!
