Just to update.. I won my complaint and have gained a compensation payment and loan written off, case now closed.

LLoyds collection centre in Brighton, (the letters have no other name on them just collection centre.) 12 months of broken agreement, i signed and agreed £8 a month per loan they continued to take FCP of £84 and £27. 2 requests to stop DD on the phone, answers were the computer is unable to be changed, the 2nd I had to visit the branch to sign a form when house bound, no offer of posting the form to me just blatent refusal to cancel or refund untill direct debits cancelled ( as if i had not tried) 2 letters in writting 1 of which was sent to the chief executive. reply saying there was no control over the collections department and my complaint had been sent to them.?? So DD still not cancelled, I had enclosed a cheque for the 4 months future £8 per loan = £80 to cover the payments when the CE cancelled the DD. cheque cashed and allocated to each loan and FCP taken via DD again. Also 2 FCP were taken in one month. A complaint to FOS. Also I have been to the police as i belive this was caused by internal bonus collecting.Which i see as manipulation of my account details for an individuals gain, Police advise banks own fraud department should be!looking into this. Customer services will not esculate it to Fraud department and they will not allow me a contact number. FOS have now replied advising they cvan not investigate this deeply into the collection centre, although they can discuss some areas with collections. only now After 12 months of correspondence and complaints i have now been informed by a kind person in Brighton collection office that the £84 loan was never collectable as it was paid by my self 4 years in advance with my savings, when i became unemployed and the remaining loan only needed £3 to be collected each month. So if the fault is in house as this is and quiet a severe impact on my life at the time then where do you go. Once there is no jurisdiction for anyone to action events, who else can help you??? ( sorry can't spell check library wont allow down load of dictionary)

Hi Karen bit of a old thread but shall reply for you any way. I recieved a threatening letter demanding payment from SC&M at the CCA stage. I rang immediately and informed them of the status and that they were to retrive my file and go through the status of my account with me and explain thier actions todate. AND... they could not. SC&M hold absolutely no paper work and have no ideal as to the status of your account. they are authorised by LLoyds collections to send a threat or start legal action and they just comply. LLoyds collections keep everyone in the dark even thier own solicitors. I advised SC&M of what damages they could be doing to them selves by not asking for proof of the circumstances before contacting customers and there did not seem to be much concern. I requested a conversation with an actual solicitor rather than a phone monitor to discuss how seriouse this was and i was denied. Eventually they will fall on thier ass, and im sure we will all be there with a big smile as they zoom passed us.
