  1. It seems that it's not that simple as the glasses do not sink up properly with the screen causing alot of crosstalk. Sony are giving away some filters for the glasses but this is only to help another issue and not the crosstalk.
  2. Hi, I bought a Sony TV on Friday (55 inch HX823) for £1150. There was no possibility of viewing it in the store (RGB Direct) but I was assured that as it has a Samsung screen, the 3D quality would be as good as the Samsungs (which are superb but cost much more). Having got it home, I have discovered that the 3d is rubbish and having done some more in depth research, it's a common problem. As the 3d was the main reason I spent this much on a TV (I know, should have researched it more) am I entitled to retire it for a refund?
  3. My dad just got 2 PCN's for stopping in a bus stop, once to drop mum off at the shops and second to pick her up. Now were not trying to get out of it, it was his fault and has now learnt his lesson. The fine just seems extremely high at £120 each one (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) as a search on google shows that other councils charge £70, reduced to £35. My question is, is there a maximum they are allowed to charge? Or are they given a free reign like clampers now? The authority is Havering London Borough. Thanks in advance, Steve.
  4. Thanks for that, just what I wanted to know. Fingers crossed
  5. I apologise if this is in the wrong section but, does anyone know what CRA the Co-op use for their mortgages? I ask as im currently hoping to buy a house but I had a default some years ago that shows up on credit expert but doesnt seem to on equifax. Nat West have already offered me a mortgage but im hoping to make use of the OwnHome scheme (through the co-op) but just want to know if im wasting my time. Thanks in advance.

  7. Well, I had a letter from HSBC today, offering me £1700 (I asked for £2008 ) but I WILL be accepting this. I know most people will say dont and stick it out, but im going to New Zealand in a few weeks and could really do with the cash. That and I dont want to be messing about with court paperwork while im trying to arrange my 4 week holiday! Yes im very happy and I thank you all soooo much for your help. When I return from NZ, ill start on Nationwide and I will take that the whole way as I wont be in a rush for the cash.
  8. I was thinking the same, even though its my money. £70 or so is only what they could have rightfully charged in the first place anyway (£70 total for all charges that is).
  9. Well, HSBC have got just under a week to contact me before the MCOL:)
  10. The LBA has just been sent via Special Delivery, so im one step closer to getting my money back!
  11. How does this sound: I am very disappointed that you have failed to respond to my claim from 19th December 2006 by refunding the charges in question. ??
  12. If they try to close your account, I would ask for them to put in writing why they are doing so. Surely they are not allowed to close your account for claiming back money they stole from you?
  13. Ive had a reply from HSBC saying 'Thank you for contacting us.... ....we will investigate this.... blah blah blah' but its now time to send my LBA. The thing is, on the LBA it says: I am very disappointed that you have failed to respond to my letter of the xxxxxxxx. But they have? Do I remove this, reword it or just ignore it?
  14. Just to check before I start, you can claim fees back from credit card companies cant you? ie, late payments ect. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the info! Just one more Q........ for now.... Can you have more than one claim going at a time? Ive just started this one, but can I start one against Nationwide Credit card at the same time?
