  1. Hi all Seems to have happend to me as well, email from banks legal people with an offer on the morning of the first hearing saying they would represent the RBS and me and ask for a two week extension for settlment to be made, obviously the pen that signs the checks has run dry s nothing and all quiet except the letter informing me that a sist has been applied
  2. Hi All I started small claims in scotland against the card centre. I had to contact the court this morning and they informed me that the RBS are to defend (£720 over 3 cards) the case which is to be heard on Thur AM Anyone give me some idea what to expect and/or what to be armed with as the old nerves are fluttering a bit. Is this the first visit to let the judge decide where to go next or what I feel it is a bit quick to be up in front of him Any advice very much apreciated Mac

  5. Hi Ally received offers pretty much the same way as yourself phoned them up to see if a proper settlement could be reached before court action but they said whatever was in the letter stands asked them to reconsider putting them on the spot (I hate paperwork) to no avail so I am just filling in the claims summons just need to get it right
  6. Hi All Story so far is that I have been made an offer by the card centre which basically is the difference of the original charge nad the new £12 rip off that they are now applying I have told them that I will be taking them to court and they said that the final offer on the letter they sent me stands and that they wont deviate. What I need advice on is can I claim for 3 diffrent credit cards on the one summons or will it have to be individual accounts for the courts all previous correspondance has had the 3 cards delt with at the same time. And on the Summons form 1 sect 4' what is the act that I should refer to in claiming this back thanks for your help also this claim will be with Scottish Sherrif Court Mac
  7. Hi jakena Same scenario with the calls and stressing me and the missis eventually things went to collectors/solicitors but after speaking to citizens advice and a council run helpline providing that you can pay your council tax and mortgage you can pay these people £1 and if you are in dispute about figures etc the account can be frozen which lets you get your head above the parapet and get some air.....especially this time of year I ended up remortgaging (slightly higher rate but worth it just now anyway)after working out to offer them 60% of what I owed them. Dont let anyone in your house unless they have legal rights to enter. If they want to meet ask citizenz advice to find a neutral venue for you both...these organisations do work for you ...dont let the bas"ar"s grind you down !!!
