  1. 2.11. We will make a copy of Our current version of these terms and conditions available on Our website. We can change these terms and conditions for any good reason, for instance, if We want all customers on the same conditions. We will tell You about the change beforehand, as explained here. 2.11.1. If You are a Consumer and the change of terms and conditions is not of material detriment to You, We will send You Written Notice one calendar month before the terms are due to change. The new terms and conditions will automatically apply to You once that notice has run out. 2.11.2. If You are a Consumer and the change is of material detriment to You, We will send You Written Notice one calendar month before the terms and conditions are due to change. The new terms and conditions will apply to You once the calendar month’s notice has run out unless You terminate Your Agreement with Us within that notice period. If You do this You won’t have to pay any cancellation charge that would otherwise apply, see point 7.2.5.2. The above is taken from the current T-Mobile T&Cs. Now correct me if I'm wrong but surely it says that if a change to the T&Cs are of material detriment then you can cancel your contract within 30 days of being notified of the change. I've sent my email confirming my notice to cancel however, I am intrigued to see what their reply will be
  2. Hi all, I have been off for 6 and a half week following an operation. Please note that during this time I have not received a phonecall from occupational health or received any visits. I returned to work today to find that my manager just plonked me back at my desk without any concern and then promptly proceeded to go to a meeting that lasted all morning. I got a bit upset at having been left the way that I had and a couple of my colleagues sat with me for a bit. I then saw one of my colleagues take my manager to the side and she had obviously explained to her how I felt because my manager then came over to me and asked for a chat. We had a return to work chat and I had to practically beg to come back in on reduced hours for a couple of weeks as I am not fully recovered. Basically I just feel that my situation has not been reviewed properly and my return to work was handled in an insentitive manner especially as I did not know what I was coming back to. Should I take this further by putting in a grievance or what?
  3. Hi there, I have my loan agreement and I need to check the actual interest that I have been charged. The info is as follows: Amount of credit (the cash loan) - £3000 Amount of credit (the PPI loan) - £1108.50 Total amount of credit - £4108.50 Total amount you pay for the cash loan - £4242.24 Total amount you pay for the ppi loan - £1567.20 Total amount you pay for the total loan - £5809.44 48 monthly payments of £121.03 APR for cash loan 17.9% APR for ppi loan 17.9% Unfortunately they have not stated the monthly interest rate so I have no idea how to check if this is all correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. Thanks for your help guys. Shame that these companies are becoming ever more s**t!
  5. Hi guys, I have had a contract with T-Mobile since April 2008. I have been looking at their T&Cs and mentions nothing about changing tariffs. So I phoned them up today and asked if I could lower it as I was paying too much. They told me that I could not change it until I was in the last month of my contract! I said that this was not in the T&Cs and she said that it was part of T-Mobile's policy. I then said that I would like details of how to find this policy on their website and I was advised that I cannot do that. I would have accepted this if it was in writing but that does not seem to be the case. Can anyone offer any advice on this? Are they allowed to change their policy without notifying us? If I had known this at the time of buying then I would not have taken out the contract. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
  6. Hi all, I have decided to reclaim the PPI from both of my loans with Halifax after discovering that I am well within my rights to do so. I have requested the original loan agreements along with the original PPI documents (if there are any!). I am aware the I can reclaim the amount of credit supplied for the Insurance along with the interest applied. Is there any other interest that I can claim back? I was never told that I could get PPI elsewhere and regarding pre-existing conditions, I have had back problems prior to taking out the loan. I was not told about any exclusions and had I known, I would not have agreed to the PPI. Also, I am still repaying one of my loans. Do I reclaim the whole amount or the amount that I have paid so far? Your comments would be most welcome
  7. Thanks Tiaposy. Will do just that! It's only 50 quid, but it's MY 50 quid and not their's
  8. Kazdoc you would normally have 14 days to return the upgrade phone and cancel the contract. This happened with O2 so I assume it could be the same for other mobile networks.
  9. Hi all I sent a prelim letter to Ford Credit to request my charges back. This is the letter I received: Dear Rachyrach I write in response to your letter dated 6th July 2007 about the charges that have been added to your account. We have considered your request very carefully, as it is important to us that your agreement runs as smoothly as possible. Having reviewed the circumstances we are sure that the charges have been correctly applied and are in line with the terms of you agreement with us. Please find enclosed a copy of the terms and conditions of your contract which clearly states the charges for breach of the agreement. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on the number below. Yours sincerely, Magali Dolle Customer Services Anyone have an idea of what I should do next and how I should respond to this letter?
  10. Haha! I had one very large amount that was levied from my account in the space of 19 months. made me feel sick and excited at the same time lol
  11. Would I be able to claim interest on the second loan?
  12. Does anyone think that I could claim interest back off the second loan?
  13. lol. Thanks Dursary. I'm doing the same as you. I claiming back every charge that has ever been levied from me, from loans, hire purchase, everything! The amounts are small but it's still our money at the end of the day!
  14. I have 2 loans with Halifax. I applied for one loan and the interest was 18%. Then having got into even deeper debt I decided to apply for another loan with the Halifax. They gave me the loan and that interest is 18% too. However, I've thought to myself recently about why didn't they top up my original loan instead of me having 2 separate loans and paying 2 lots of interest (the second loan was not to consolidate the first loan, it just consolidated my other debts)? Is there anything that I can claim back for this? What should I state as the reason being? Would really appreciate any help. Thanks

  16. Thanks Kenny and Moneyhelp for your replies. I know the claims process cuz I've won twice before! I do have another question tho... I have 2 loans with Halifax. 17. On my statement for one of my Halifax loans I was interested to see the following: FBS TELEPHONE COSTS - £10.00 Basically they charged me £10.00 for something to with a telephone call. What is this and can I claim it back?
  18. That is great Paul. Thanks! Right I am off to write me letters
  19. Hi guys I want to reclaim charges back from O2 and T-Mobile. However I can't remember the phone numbers that I had with them. Is it still possible to send an SAR even though I dont have the mobile numbers? Thanks
  20. Thanks for your advice Craig. They phoned me back and they offered to refund the charge, straight away. what a result!
  21. Hi guys Last week I put in some money in my bank to cover my direct debit for my car insurance. However it seems the bank dont operate a same day policy when it comes to paying in money on the same day of the dd coming out. This resulted in the dd being unpaid and the bank charging me. So I phoned up the insurance company the next day and told them of the situation and they said that they'd apply again for the dd in 5 days time. That day is today. Once again I put money into cover the dd amount. But I've just looked at my account and the insurance company are taking out an extra £25 as a charge. This brings the total amount over the amount that I paid in to cover the dd. Therefore i have a feeling the dd will be unpaid again, which will result in yet another charge from the bank. Phoned them up again and they just said that it's a default charge and nothing they can do about it. I just said I wanted to speak to a manager, who will now be phoning me back at 1pm. Could anyone please give me a good argument to the manager so that they will refund the money? The woman on the phone today told me that if I had phoned up on the day the dd was originally coming out, they could have stopped another dd coming out. Now how in god's name could I have done that when I didnt know the dd was going to be unpaid. I phoned up the very next day but they just informed me that they would try again in 5 days time. No mention of charging or anything. Sorry if all sounds confusing but really need advice asap. Thanks :?
  22. On October 21st 2005 I fell down some stairs in a pub, which resulted in me ending up in hospital and then having a month off work (still received sick pay). Also I had to pay expensive treatment to have my back made better. I am still in discomfort now but I've had to stop treatment due to it being too costly. I remember the stairs being worn away in the middle and they had no carpet on them and they were wet at the time. I was not drunk and a couple of other people fell down too. Does anyone know if I have any chance of making a claim?
  23. On October 21st 2005 i fell down a flight of stairs in a pub, the reason due to the stairs being wet and uneven. As a result I ended up in hospital, had a month off work (still received pay) and had to have months of treatment which cost a lot of money. Do you think I have a right to claim compensation as I still have problems with my back (although I had to stop paying for treatment due to it costing too much)? By the way I wasn't drunk, have plenty of eyewitnesses and a couple of other people fell down the stairs too.
