  1. Well (not that it will my issue) that the other stations stop adverts once they get some of the fee...... im sure they wont, and im also sure that they will back dopwn at the last moment, once all hell breaks loose as people work out what they are doing!
  2. This is good, as not only will I save the £142.50 from BBC, but with no SKY I should also be better off by around another £240 a year!
  3. but I wont be watching internet broadcasts as I wont have a licence so there is no way I would use iplayer, and I have no idea where else you can get access to all the TV stations from
  4. A little bit of background info to start with..... 6 Months ago I did pay a court fine for not having a TV licence, and currently have one, but this is where it all gets interesting. The property I rent does not have a ariel, but does have a sky dish (left over from the last person) I do currenlty have a sky package - but I am going to be stopping that next month. I currently watch NO television, but instead use my 37" HD TV as a monitor for my PC! My PC has internet access, but does not have a TV card. Now I am sure most of us are aware that it "may be" possible to get access to all (99.9%) of the channels available worldwide via the internet - but of course I don't watch TV via this either. Now my question is , If I stopped my Sky package, and didn't have a set-top box (either freeview (the word FREE always worries me in that!) or freesat) as I don't have an ariel or a PC with a TV card - what steps would I have to take to stop paying the BBC the stupid yearly amount of money that I currently do? Regards
  5. I think the 8% as im more then happy with that rate of return! Now I know that people will be telling me, to go for more, but Im not in a good enough state to go through what that could mean!

  10. So another 12 days to go to see what happends...... If it goes the route of the AQ how much approx will that cost me to send back - and more importantly do i get this back when my money is refunded? Next question, from others experiences does NW tend to pay before the deadline, or our they now going for the AQ and hopeing we will all drop it? Rgs

  12. So this is what has happened so far...... Claim had been issued, and Acknowledged as on the 12/02/2007 - via MCO it says in the box that "The Defantend has a total of 28 days from the date that they were served the claim to reply" My question is - What happends now? and at what point should my money b coming back to my account?
  13. Well I enetered my claim, then upgraded to Vista (So have been off line for a little while) now where was I..... Mr Bacon, said he would be defending the claim, what happends now..... Regards
  14. Thank you, its now become a little scary! looking at all the court forms, but as my local court is not open on Wednesday, I am going to do it all online! Just a question, My bank has been sent all the letters, and with each one a statment of charges(up to now without the extra 8%) After I have submitted the claim, do I then send another copy of charges to the bank and include the 8% or is that automaticly (spelling!) delt with via the court? Regards
  15. Well the clock has ticked, and tomorrow it becomes the day to start the claim with the court - wish me luck !
  16. I have just written and sent off the "harrassment by telephone" letter, and would now like to write to Capquest / Sky Card, to get the debt sent back to Sky where I can start to find out what is happening? How do i go about getting the money put back to Sky? and how do I get it "frozen" while I go about winning Regards Tango34

  18. Dear all, I am being chased by the following companies for money:- CapQuest Debitas NDR Wescot Now I am in the process of reclaiming my money from Nationwide, and this is going according to plan, so its time to start against the other companies that have taken my money. I wish to let the above companies know that I don't wish to recieve any more telephone calls from them, that the debt is in disput. Now I know there is a letter that I have to send them, but can I find it? No sorry, I have looked all over the site, can't find it anywhere? HELP???? Regards Tango34

  20. Well just got the data back from Nationwide, and have worked out that they owe me £2940.50 + 8% so going to send next letter this afternoon
  21. Well its started today 22/12/2006 I have recieved my first letter from Nationwide, letting me know that they will be sending my statments soon, and letting me have a information pack about the DPA - The game continues......
  22. No problems, as of yet I dont know what I will be claiming, but I expect it will be over the 5k mark, will let you all know as soon as I do!
  23. If it has to go this route, how do I go about splitting my claim down? Would I claim maybe 3 years worth, then another claim for the next 3 years worth?
  24. If my claim comes to over £5000 (This is more then likely true - as I havn't always been very good at managing money*) what is the best route to take? * - But thinking about it, If the charges haddn't been placed onto my account, I wouldn't have become overdrawn, then I wouldn't have had to borrow more money to get through the month, and I would have managed to live within my pay. - It makes you wonder, how much of the debt in the UK is down to UK Banks, takeing money that they shouldn't have? Regards
  25. When you sit down and work out how much they have taken, its amazing, but its even better when you work out you can have it all back with interest!
