Hi All I'm about to start a claim against the HSBC re Bank Charges accrued over the past six years amounting to £349. As I've explained in the main forums it's not so much the money as the feeling we've all been had that's prompted me to follow this up. Like many I had this brought to my attention by the BBC and hence I found this site and my has it opened my eyes. I've already printed out my statements and some forms from the BBC site. However I've got some holidays over Christmas so I'm gonna peruse the FAQs and the rest of the site for as much info as I can before I start my claim. I guess what with the post and holidays it may be an idea to wait until the new year to actually start sending letters ? Anyhow good luck to all. PS , I've given my work E-Mail address as my main contact for the site. I have a home E-Mail and as I'm on holiday from Friday till January 2cnd, is it possible to have two contact mails for the site? Sorry if this is a dumb question, it just occured to me.

Cheers for this also Jol. I'm not really in it for the the get rich quick thing, more a sense of outrage at what I've learned and what I'm reading on this site and others. It's a breath of fresh air to see people taking up arms like this. Long may it continue, and who knows, maybe we can see some change in legislation for the better.

I'm about to commence reclaiming charges accrued over the past six years from my HSBC account ( £349 ). I've gone back online and printed out all the relevant statements. However I found out about the whole charges thing through the BBC only yesterday on the Money Programme website ( I then went on to watch the edition itself, very enlightening ! ). The BBC site has a number of downloadable forms which I printed out but I see that there are letter templates on this site also. I'm gonna' take a long look through the FAQ's and templates on this site over the next few days before I forge on any further. The Beeb made the process seem pretty painless but just in case I guess knowledge is power. So hi to everyone and good luck with your own claims.
