Hi all!! I have won my claim, signed and returned acceptance on Friday at 10am. just wondered how long it took other people to receive their money!! I didnt include a letter giving x amount of days neither did I ask for it to be put directly into my account (which is what we wanted) I rang Friday afternoon and left a message asking if they'd received the fax and also said that I would like the money to be paid directly into my account and asked how long this would take.... needless to say there was no call back!! So what Im asking is how long was it for you and how many of you sent letter demanding the money with x amount of days? Also those of you who didnt request a payment by cheque or payment into your account which did they end up doing?

Listen to Steve Catherine, hes very wise!! (And handsome too!!) Seriousy though, he knows alot more than I do, I only gave them 14 days and thinking back Im very lucky it didnt end up in court or this may have gone against me!

Go ahead and send the letter asap, the sooner you send it the quicker you can start your MCOL! Give them 14 days, that includes the date on the letter and any weekends (Im guessing bank holidays too) But id definately skip the LBA, some people get a response from it but not usually the full amount!

LOL Did we ever actually talk about bank charges anyway?! What I need to know is.... the bit that I signed, does that now mean I cant claim the rest of the charges applied to my account (From May 06 to now) Also is there anything else I should be doing or someone I should be telling that it has been settled? Asked if they'd recieved my acceptence letter and also asked for the money to be paid directly into our account and how long they thought this would take.... Im glad my story has spurred you on, definatley go for it ASAP!! Thank you Lively lad!! Mine took 4 week and 2 days from the MCOL, sent my first letter on the 6th of November with 14 days to pay up, no LBA sent so 6 + 2 days in total!

Thank you all!! Need to ask a few questions, really could do with the answers before the morning so I can get this faxed over to DG asap!! So, Im gathering all our letters say the same? Mine states "payment is made in full and final settlement of your claims arising from the charges applied to your account in the period referred to above and by accepting this payment you agree not to make any other claims relating to these charges" I claimed up until May this year to keep the claim under £5000 so as to keep the court costs down, I still have an amount of around £800 to claim from May until the present date. I planned to start this claim in the new year. By signing this do you think I will still be able to claim?! Where it says the period refferred to above I cant actually see the period they are talking about! It says in the first bit "in respect of the claim you have issued in relation to charges levied on your account to date" Is this what they mean?! Sorry for the loooooong post! Any ideas would be VERY much appreciated! Im happy to sign the confidentiality clause, just need to know that ill be able to claim the rest at a later date! Should I write a little letter to them? What should I say? Shall I just be cheeky and ask for the £800 now?!! Thanks in advance!! (Sorry if there are any sp mistakes or this doesnt make sense! Its late!)
