  1. Hi Netyard, I found that £1530 had been put into my account today (Tues)...I'm claiming £4673 & my claim was filed at MCOL last Mon!! Spoke to a Catherine Jones at Halifax, was told they will only pay me back to & including 2001 & not 2000 as I'd claimed...they have started the 6 years back as from 2007 & not 2006 when I requested my statements!! She then offered me £2597 but won't pay interest of MCOL fees!! I'm phoning again tomorrow (Wed) to try & re-negoiate...I'll keep you posted. I noticed that you're claiming 6 years 7 months so be prepared for them to stick to a 6-year period, good luck!!
  2. Hi All, Filed my claim with MCOL on Mon. 19/02...checked my online bank account today & £1532.00 paid in today by Halifax...I'm claiming £4673.77. Spoke to Catherine Jones (tel:01244-693661) & she stated that they will only pay out back to 6years, & they are starting from 2007 back to & including 2001. I requested my statements in Dec. 2006 so was claiming back to & including 2000...am I right that I can use the date when I requested statements as the date I'm claiming from?? & even though claim is now with MCOL she doesn't want to pay me any interest or refund my court fees!! She kept going away & conferring with a manager, finally she offered me £2597.00 & says that the balance between the £1532 & £2597 will be paid into my account tomorrow & I will also receive an acceptance letter thru the post. If I only partially accept this amount they will take the money back out from my account...please advise!! I'm worried that the court will agree that the 6 years should only commence from 2001 & not 2000 as I've stated. When I requested the 6 years statements in Dec. 2006 I was sent statements going back to 31/12/99...I'm going to phone Ms Jones again tomorrow regarding this but would appreciate any clarification on the matter. Thanking you in advance for any help, docannie.
  3. Hi 1stlifeline, My statements arrived about 2/3 weeks after I requested them but that was some time agao & I believe that the poor little darlings have got much busier since then!! My claim was filed with MCOL (Court) last Monday as I hadn't received any offers, even after all the CAG letters + 3 phone calls & 2 e-mails!! A phone call from you regarding your statement MIGHT speed things up, I think it all depends on who you get on the other end of the phone. Good Luck!!
  4. Hi CJD, I received my statements after about 2/3 weeks but that was a while ago...I filed my claim with MCOL (Court) last Monday so am just waiting it out now!! Good Luck!!
  5. Hi, I've only seen 1 thread where an account was closed by the Halifax & luckily you have your Lloyds account if they state that to you, but I think that they tend to close your account only if you go for a 2nd lot of charges...hope that helps!!
  6. Hi jlhmside, My claim was filed with MCOL (Court) last Monday as I haven't received an offer, just the standard letters. I also phoned them 3 times + sent 2 e-mails but now I get the 8% extra!! Good Luck!!
  7. Hi julia e1, I filed my claim with MCOL last Monday & it's fairly easy to do!! & as Aaronsdad says, you can have a play around 1st!! Good Luck & keep us posted.
  8. Yes, I think we all receive the same standard replies to our letters. You'll send your LBA & get another standard letter telling you they have 4 weeks to sort it out BUT keep to YOUR timescales & file at Court if no joy after the 14 days!!
  9. Welcome, Phonesurgeon!! My claim was filed with MCOL (Court) last Monday as I haven't received any offers!! However, I do now receive an extra 8%!!
  10. Hi janie6, Everyone is VERY helpful here...just do the reading & then ask for help if you need it!! All the letters you need are in the Library too. Good Luck!!
  11. Hi holly12, My claim was filed with MCOL (Court) last Monday as I haven't received any offers...I'd phoned them 3 times & e-mailed twice but no-one seemed to want to offer me any money!! So, I now get an additional 8%!!
  12. Hi mattie457, A lot of my charges were clumped together...at 1 time the charges were just put on at the end of the month so I have 1 charge of £330.00!! My claim has just been filed with MCOL 9Court) as I haven't received any offers. Everyone's very helpful here so just ask if you need help!! & Good Luck!!
  13. Well done roryroo!! My claim was filed with MCOL on Monday gone as I haven't had any offers!!
  14. Well done Roseperriwinkle!! My partner got a telephone offer this week which at 1st he accepted, but the day after he phoned up, haggled & got full amount of £601!! My claim was filed at court last Monday, so I'm still waiting.
  15. Hi edwardburke1976, If you look in the Library section there are templates of everything you need, including the spreadsheets (I think)!! Don't add the interest on just yet, that happens when you send your claim off to Court ...which I did last Mon!! Good Luck!!
  16. Hi jimmyvonk, As far as I'm aware, yes, you can claim the Interest Debited - notified last month...I seem to have read at least a couple of threads where this had been added on. My claim was filed with MCOL on Monday gone!! Just counting the days down now!! Good Luck!!
  17. Hi chaddyowl, Have a look at Paul v. Halifax thread near top of page 1...he got everything he claimed which included interest & Court fees!! Don't let them wear you down...easier said than done I know but if they pay 1 person the full amount then surely they can't start moving the goalposts can they??!! Although I do realize that this is a Bank we're dealing with!! Good Luck anyway!!
  18. What a good result nattothesane!! I've just filed my claim with MCOL so the time is ticking down now + I get an extra 8%!!
  19. Hi hot.rod.41, I filed my claim with MCOL on Monday gone so am also going the same route as you!! I haven't had a goodwill gesture but I have phoned them 3 times & sent 2 e-mails so they've had plenty of opportunities to settle...now I get the 8% exta!!
