  2. Hi Paintball have you looked at the interest calculators in the bank templates section? Hi dizzy doris There are letters in template section for credit cards, this one is good http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/586-credit-store-card-letter.html
  3. There seem to be quite a few people who have charged this and got it back, after all cap one charge us compounded interest. I read up a lot on various threads before i decided to use it.
  4. You're not alone in your struggle to get your head round this, lol, but on this site there is always someone who will help when asked.
  5. I used one of Vampiress spread sheets. There is a link on the bottom of this page http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/182-6-interest-calculation-spreadsheets.html I used one called "throught claim with compounded contractual interest" I used a rate of 34.9% as I read on here that this was the rate they charged on cash advances
  6. Oh and whenI reply do I need to enclose another schedule of charges? I should just add here that I'm claiming compounded contractual interest which is increasing daily. Sorry for all these questions, but typically I only seem to be able to find what I don't need and not what I need when I search the posts, even though I know it's out there, lol
  7. Received a partial offer today for £172, which I'm not accepting. My question is do I say I will accept this off my balance as a partial settlement and give them a further 7 days to come up with the rest, or just refuse their "kind" offer and carry on with my timetable, which means the LBA is up tomorrow.
  8. Thanks, I'll take a look. I've started with two capital one cards, yorkshire bank, and studio cards so i may as well go for great universal as well. They put loads of charges on my account when i was off sick for a year. The annoying thing was i was working for them at the time and one of the accounts was my staff sale account, lol
  9. sorry i've no idea, i haven't gone down that road yet, but i'm sure someone will answer you
  10. Thanks xx LBA typed and ready to send tomorrow
  11. I sent the first request for repayment (with contractual interest) on the 12/2 and received a delaying letter on 24/2 from the oh so busy Mr Udy.......... We will try to get an answer within 4 weeks etc etc.......... So I'm ignoring this and sending the LBA tomorrow. Am I right with this? I just continue with my timetable and ignore their fobbing off letter? Thanks in advance for any help
  12. I was just going to ask this question till i saw this thread. I should've known this site covers every situation.
  13. I had 2 accounts with Great Universal, one as a customer and one as an employee. The employee one is finished, and i'm paying the other one on a payment plan. There were numerous charges levied on both accounts going back to when I left the company because of ill health. Has anyone tried to get charges back from Great Universal?
  14. Thanks for your help with this, sorry for late reply but due to family illness i haven't had time to do anything for a while. I'm sending Ist request for repayment, with compounded contractual interest, by recorded delivery tomorrow, so let the battle commence!!!!
  15. Thanks martin ;-) I'm finding it very confusing to know what interest to charge, in the same thread i've read one person saying to add the interest on each charge from the day it was charged, then add 8% on top of all that, then someone else in same thread saying it's either one of the other. I went to bed with a headache last night after reading the forum for about 6 hours, lol
