  1. Right, I've given Natwest tons of time and I've heard nothing. I've just been paid so I'm going to put in my claim. The guidance notes suggest downloading 3 copies of N1, one for the court, one for the bank and one for myself. I was just wondering if a photocopy would suffice to send to the bank and if I should include any covering letter.
  2. My claim is for nearly £2,500 which is a lot to me but is probably not a huge claim in the scheme of things. I am prepared to do this but I may need some love from everyone in the next few weeks:)
  3. I've heard nothing from Natwest and I am going to submit my claim to the county court in around a week. Will I need to contact a solicitor if this is going to go through the court?
  4. Its alright I had to look it up:)
  5. I know, I was just being facetious;)
  6. I guess if sending a letter costs the Natwest £30 you can understand them being reluctant to send one to me in these circumstances;)
  7. Thanks for that, I have no intention of giving up, just wanted to know if this was a tactic Natwest tended to use.
  8. I think Natwest are seeing who is going to blink first. They sent me 6 years of statements in double quick time. I sent my initial claim 19/3/07 and just sent letter before action but I haven't heard ANYTHING from them. As my claim is over £1500, are they seeing if the £220 court fees are going to put me off? As with some others on the forums, I added the 8% from the start (Is it me or did the ITV programme seem to suggest this) but I would have accepted an offer without the 8%. Should I be worried? - I'm not exactly thrilled by the prospect of a court case but I am prepared to go through with it.
  9. I'm about to send my SAR to Natwest. Before I do I would like to ask if there is any way the bank can make things difficult for me on my account once they know I intend to retreive my money?
  10. Thanks everyone - I shall let you know how it goes
  11. I have finally snapped after months (years) of alternating disinterest and hostility from the NatWest. I fell into debt problems during a long-term illness (it was depression - many organisations don't consider this a 'serious' condition). I am now back at work and trying to get back on an even keel - a refund of some of the outrageous charges NatWest continued to levy throughout this period would be a big help - where do I start?
