  1. Hi, I'm trying to contact on:line finance regarding an HP taken out in 2001 that ended in early 2003. The website just says that they're now part on GMAC and just gives an email address. I've emailed asking for the postal address for the part of GMAC that now deals with on:line finance cases but haven't had a response. Does anyone know where I should be writing with an SAR request. Thanks for your help Dai
  2. Sorry to hi-jack but was just wondering how i get hold of on-line finance - i want to send an SAR to them but I understand they've become GMAC. I've looked on GMACs website and have no idea where to send the SAR to, I dont want them to use the excuse that i posted to the wrong addess. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Dai
  3. Thanks for that. The debt has been sold to a company called DLC i think, my brother is currently paying around £50 a month to them. Since then he has been sporadically made payments to different debt collectors chasing him but he has told me the debt is still more than £6k. I know for a fact that he paid more than £1k to the original hire purchase company and since it was repossed he has paid almost £2k to debt collectors. How can they be chasing more than £6k?!! I've looked through all his documents and he has nothing relating to it apart from a couple of
  5. Hi all, I really hope you can help. After going a bit OTT in university, i've recently got an ok job and have been trying to sort out my debts. It had been going quite well until I had some more bad news today. Before I sold my car to save money in May 06 I received a £45 parking ticket, it was a bit harsh as the car was outside my house and a couple of months earlier we had checked with a trafic warden that it was ok to park there. I didn't pay the ticket and as my car was registered to my parents address, a bailiff from Swift Credit turned up there today to claim fees of £170
