  1. well smudgerer must admit was a bit naughty, never opened a new account, but spoke to 2 other banks that said they could open an account. i told them i was taking bos to court. both banks told me it was hard to get charges back from business accounts & adviced me to do it on my personal accounts as it was easier. now that i have done this 1 i'm going for my 2 personal accounts which i now feel pretty confident about. so even the bank managers are in agreeing that the charges are wrong

  5. hi just gone on-line to my bank account, and found that bos has increased my overdraft by £500. in the past when i asked them for a larger overdraft they told me it would cost me £100, so i told them to forget it. i have had no notification off them to inform me they were doing this! strange tho, that the mcol was filed on 7/9/07 has this happened to anybody else? just wondering what they are doing it for!
  6. fingers crossed! so do i thanks for the encouragement. now that i've filed my mcol do i send the schedule of charges to the court?

  8. Well I've Finally Just Completed My Mcol. Fingers Crossed. Bos Are Insisting That They Are Not Going To Pay. Just Said To Contact The Financial Ombudsman If I Wasn't Satisfied With Their Response, And That This Is The Banks Final Response.
  9. hi all i hold an internet business account with the bank of scotland. because i have to post my cheques in takes 2 working days to show on my account, then it's a further 4 working days before it's cleared. if any direct debits are due to go out the bank adds up all direct debits for that day, and if there isn't enough cleared money in my account they won't pay any of them. then then proceed to take £35 out that same day to a maximum of £105 per day. sometimes the direct debit can include a £3.98 payment, which they won't pay, but still charge me £35 for it. they have charged me £4775 over 2 years. i have asked them twice to return my charges, but i just have had the usual standard letter stating that they are not prepared to refund the charges, because, the charges are in keeping with their normal charging policy. I am now at the stage of being so with them, that i want to file a court case against them. the problem i have is - do i have to file it in the scottish courts or because i live in england, can i file it in the english courts? i would be very grateful for any advice, i am adament that they are not going to get away with this, and am keen to get the ball rolling. thanks in anticipation
  10. If Anybody Can Give Me Their Success Stories On Bos, I'd Be Very Grateful. Feeling A Bit Scared Of Taking Them To Court.
  11. hi all, have sent letter to bank of scotland asking for a refund of charges! it is a business current account. last year i asked them for a bigger overdraft, they refused but have charged me £3500 in charges instead. just received reply today, stating charges are in keeping with normal charging policy. request denied. it then goes on to say if i'm dissatisfied with the way my complaint has been handled then i can contact the financial ombudsman. do i send another letter? any advice would be appreciated as not quite sure where this leaves me. please help
