  1. Can anyone identify the film from the plot below? The story of a handicapped boy, who's mother and siblings were brutally murdered in front of their home. In a twisted turn of events, he is abducted by a masked man and is held prisoner in a dentist's office. The story tells his father's journey to find him as he chases the kidnapper thousands of miles with the help of a mentally disabled woman.
  2. Is 1 the company your friend used and was invoiced by?
  3. George, I'm afraid that no one has the magic answer for you. Take a look at the news today, other people have been tricked out of their money recently too eg: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30279582 If I was you, the first thing I would be doing is speaking with your bank and explaining what has happened. They won't refund your money, so please don't get your hopes up for that. The best you can hope for is that they will halt any interest and bank charges caused by this overdraft, and they can help you get back into the black.
  4. What are the file names that are being generated? You can choose to sort either by filename, or date - the latter is probably the best option for you.
  5. At the moment, he cannot play online with his friends, as the two systems aren't compatible with each other. As he's already contributing some birthday money towards it, why not ask him to sell his 360 and games and add that money to the price too?!
  6. Have you got cookies disabled in your browser? Do you use any kind of proxy server?
  7. Have you tried sending a SAR to Vodafone, to get all details they hold on you? Mention as part of it you require transcripts/recordings of every call they have recorded.
  8. I appreciate this is a very old thread - however I upgraded to EE yesterday, and on my paperwork it states: "Handset Ownership (only if bought from an EE retail store): You will only own the device 6 months from the date you take out your plan.
  9. I assume it's a pop up window. Next time it appears leave it open, and open task manager. Look at the list of running programs, and find the one that has caused the prompt. Then right click, and press goto process. This'll tell you what has caused the action. Once you have that info, post back here with the process name. If you want to see if your version of windows is activated, open up system by pressing the windows key on the keyboard, and the pause break key. It should say if its activated etc on that screen.
  10. You are then taking 5 days holiday, not 7.... so yes, you can offer to work the 2 rest days.
  11. Hi Lisa, Perhaps you should post your information over on the LandlordZone forums: http://www.landlordzone.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?3-Residential-Letting-Questions You might get answers to your queries from landlords themselves.
  12. Can you click the link below, and does it return: "Message from The Consumer Action Group Sorry, there are no new posts to view." http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post
  13. I might be wrong - but I think this refers to a Civil Enforcement Officer, not Chief Executive Officer!
  14. Can you not negotiate with your current landlord for the early release of your deposit, so you have funds available to move with?
  15. Very interesting! For years as a student I worked in a hotel bar - Normally about 50hrs a week, whilst contracted to only 10!
  16. OK - if you want a reason why the outcomes could be different, that isn't based upon anything other than the situations. Person one - called into an investigation meeting for using phone on shop floor. Manager: "What is the policy for using a phone...?" Employee: "I don't know" Outcome - told to not do it again. Person two - called into an investigation meeting for using phone on shop floor. Manager: "What is the policy for using a phone...?" Employee: "Not to do it, but I did it anyway..." Outcome - Disciplinary.
  17. Passport doesn't have an address on it - only next of kin, which wouldn't be part of the photocopy of the main page. Not sure about a will - but I'd have thought that the witnesses section would have the witnesses address? Get in contact through them perhaps?
  18. The TV licence doesn't belong to the flat, it belongs to a person - so TVL are quite right in not being able to disclose if a licence is there or not. One licence will normally cover everyone living as a family unit within the flat, but it is feasible for some properties to require more than one licence (eg if you are not living as a family unit, in student halls for example, each bedroom will require a licence if they have a TV in there, and a tv in the lounge will be covered by any one licence in a bedroom).
  19. Years ago, TV Licence received a cheque in the form of a breeze block.... not quite as imaginative as a sheep, but an inconvenience non the less!
  20. Not a bad strike from the former vegetable picker
  21. Milner is not a right back. Jones & Smalling can both play there - it's a strange ploy!
