Hi I have looked on this site many times but I have never posted anything so I hope you will bare with me. I need some help with a Court Hearing & whether I should or shouldn't attend, or whether I need to attend also it might be difficult getting time off work & I dont raelly want them to know. I am c*****g myself & I dont want to attend if I can help it. Would I be able to write a statement to the court instead. Basically I took out a personal loan with the Nationwide B S in 2007 for £25,000 over 84 months & I was managing the payments of £385.00 per month untill my husband was out of work for a few months in 2010. I got into arrears & was passed onto KPR who agreed I could pay £200 per month, which I have been managing to do. Anyway to cut a long story short Nationwide tried to get me to pay more which I couldn't so they got a ccj issued against me which is set at £200 per month. However they have applied for a redetermination as they believe I am unable to pay the debt in a reasonable period of time the total amount at the moment is £20,192.38. I think they are trying to secure a charge on the property. I already have the mortgage & 2 other charges on the property so they would be 4th in line and I dont think there would be any equity. The court hearing is on 15th Sept please please help !!!
